Suspense and Spicy Goodness Overload in this Stalker Thriller!!

Check those TW's if you need to, but if not jump into this insanely addictive read!!

Where to start with this one?! It's full of twists and turns and so much angst and spice I couldn't get enough. When you are wanting a gripping suspense and some melt-your-panties action in one book this is it!! One word Jagger!! He's utter stalker perfection!

This author is a mastermind at weaving gripping suspense, spice, and heartbreaking moments into an unputdownable book. She brings main and side characters to life like no other making them highly relatable and wanting more of them.

Jagger is complex with an array of emotions running through him at all times. He's dark, intense, broody, and a dirty-talking beast of a man. I loved every second of this character's dirty mouth. He can melt your Kindle and panties like no other. He's simply irresistible for oh so many reasons.

Maddie is such a highly relatable female character. She's feisty and vulnerable when she needs to be, and she has a bit of the tough girl attitude mixed in there also. Her chemistry with Jagger is off the charts hawt!! She's one character that gives as good as she gets. With loss and grief plaguing her wasn't enough add in a stalker/k¡ller with nefarious plans for her now. She will need to learn who to trust and who to run from in this highly addictive world.

So if you love a story that will have you guessing what will happen next in a gripping and suspenseful stalker mystery of who is the real villain in the story, then make sure you grab this book ASAP! Never a dull moment in this one with its intense action and spicy levels of heat. A DEFINITE MUST READ for any Dark Romance Reader!! Definitely a top 2023 read for me!!

Let’s start off with the characters, because what Rose has done is insanely brilliant. Maddie and Jagger come from complete opposite ends of a spectrum. Where Maddie is light, Jagger is darkness, and together they form a beautiful sunrise. Ben was an excellent character as his story unravels more and more, we see that who he is, isn’t always so cut and dry.


The story overall is very detailed and involved. There are so many interconnected storylines that ultimately add up to the huge crescendo. Before you realize it, everything makes sense and connections start forming in your head. You’ll be surprised when you start connecting the pieces together how intricate the story actually is. Its multifaceted elements really bring out the beauty in this story. Those small intricacies really enhance the story as a whole.

There is no proper way to say how incredible this book is. Done Waiting is a book that will break your heart, fall in love, and peer closer into the shadows hoping you too have a sexy as sin stalker that shakes up your entire world.

This was an enjoyable read, fast paced with plenty of drama and suspense. There were so many plot twists that I was kept guessing and engaged throughout the book.

The characters are complex and really well written. Jagger is an anti hero who you fall in love with once you get his back story and his complete devotion to Maddie. Maddie is a strong likeable character whose world falls apart after her dad’s passing. Watching her character growth is fantastic from a quiet unassuming character to one who can hold her own. Loved Abby, Bryce, Jason and Ashlynn as side characters and the banter and fun they brought to the story.

If you’re after a steamy romance with suspense, plots twists and good banter you’ll love this book.

This was my first stalker dark romance book and I absolutely fell in love.
Jagger is, just oh my amazing. The suspense was on point. Jennifer has such a way of writing this morally gray characters and making me just absolutely fall in love with them.
This book had me on the edge of my seat and I just could not put it down.
If I could go live in a book world, I need Jagger in it.
Madison, where do I begin with her. My heart broke for her in so many different ways, but everything that she went through, she was still so strong and such a b.a.
I think this book will live forever in my heart and Jagger will always be a top book boyfriend.
This book has everything.

This book is sooo extra hott! If you've ever fantasized about having a sexy and mysterious stalker following you, as Jennifer Rose obviously has, then you will totally fall for Jagger! He is my new book boyfriend! This book has so much suspense and twists, you never know what is going to happen next! The character development and unfolding plot make it so you won't be able to put this book down!

Stalker romance for the win!! 🥵🥵

Maddie and Jagger’s love story is not for the faint of heart. So imagine you feel you are being watched but instead of the police getting involved you get intrigued by your stalker. Jagger has a major bone to pick with Maddie’s family from past and present actions that affected his life. what started out as revenge turns to obsession turns to love. This is a dark love of many twists and turns that only get juicer as you go. While i didn’t like Jagger at first I did by the end. Maddie has great character growth and this story is truly just amazing.

This is a thick girl right here , but it was loaded with so much suspense. I love how Jennifer Rose brings these characters to life. This was a dark stalker romance with so many twist and turns . There were parts where my eyes probably popped out my head when reading , I was like holy 😯. I was constantly thinking WTF ! It was so well written that it will keep you on your toes. I’m obsessed with Jagger like he can stalk me if he wanted to .
The MCs Jagger and Mads Kill this book. As I’m reading this book this quickly became one of my favorite books.

YES YES YES!!! Loved it! I really appreciated how the author took us through the grieving process that main character Madison went through! The emotions were so raw, real and it was described beautifully. Not everyone grieves the safe, and that’s perfectly fine. The attraction she develops with her stalker started at her grieving time. Stalker though…oh lord! This my first stalker story and it just opened up a whole door of dark and twisted for me that I am enjoying indulging in it!

Definitely recommend this book. Jennifer did such a great job! I’m ready for more of this author’s work!

Imagine you start to get the feeling of being watched, then you discover you are actually being watched, instead of getting the police involved you find yourself drawn to your stalker...sounds kind of crazy right.... well that is just how this book begins with Maddie. Let's add the fact that young women around her age with blond hair, like her, brown eyes, like her are being assaulted and murdered in the town she lives in and she isn't running to the police when she first discovers she is being stalked, we wouldn't say she is just a little crazy....nope more like certifiably insane right?

Maddie's world has just imploded, her father who has been the main parent all her life dies suddenly in a motorcycle accident. So, you think child of divorce or mom passed away. No Maddie's mom is very much alive and was married to her father, or more like married to her job. Her father has been the biggest constant and supporter in her life so when he dies she feel so alone. Even surrounded by the most important people in her life she still feels alone. Who could blame her with her not so grieving, very judgmental mom Maura AKA The Ice Queen. Then there is her best friend and roommate Chloe, that seems more preoccupied by well anything that isn't her grieving BFF.. Add in Maddie's other roommate who happens to also be her boyfriend, Ben. He seems to have quite the wondering eye, suddenly a bit too cozie with Chloe, and then hot and cold behavior. To top it off each of those people present in Maddie's life, each one is hiding a huge secret. With all that has happened to Maddie it is still extremely crazy and odd to be drawn to a man stalking her that she knows nothing about, or is it?

Jagger, Maddie's stalker has a huge vendetta of the past and the present actions, towards someone in Maddie's life. What starts out as a revenge plot, turns into a big obsession, and most likely will derail all of Jagger’s well thought out plans of revenge, and stopping the actions going on in his town. But what if our stalker falls in love with his prey and his prey falls right back? Well then, we have a pretty crazy story that comes to be Done Waiting. But no that’s not all, there is going to be so many twists and turns, and just when you think you have predicted the next one well you are thrown another loop and then another turn and wow you are going to see a romantic suspense story that has given you so much whiplash you just don't know what to think.... well the whiplash with out all the pain the next day....other than the type of pain of being up all night reading this book, with no sleep, having to know how it all ends.

I can't say enough good things about this book it had me on the edge of my seat and so worth it. You are going to have very strong opinions of Jagger at the beginning and totally a different one at the end. Maddie is going to come across as broken, lost in grief and so naive to all that’s going on right in front of her. Then by the end you will see she is the strong willed, fight for what is right woman her father taught her to be, a beautiful strong rose that fell in love with her stalker, as will you too, I promise.

This was like the perfect taboo mafia story. Max and Raleigh sure know how to burn up the pages. They meet under less than ideal circumstances and have to overcome what some would consider a taboo relationship. The storyline is great and I couldn’t stop reading it and trying to figure out the pieces from the twists and turns and the details really just suck you in. All the characters are wonderful and I hope some of the side characters get their own story.

You simply cannot hide bad and repetitive writing with smut scenes. Everything happened either too fast or painfully slow. Scenes were done, and done and redone to the point I thought I was reading a defective copy. Both main characters were insufferable. A big NO for me.
