Against All Odds
The book is marked as a stand-alone, but the story refers to the happenings in the other books, so it makes more sense to read them first. Otherwise it is all very confusing. This is one of the reasons for only 3* rating. Apparently the bond of fated mates cannot be forced onto somebody, but in this case Xia is not very happy at first, as she is still mourning about her first mate. Then the physical attraction hits and she cannot control herself anymore. It was a bit much and the book just missed the spark for me.

Marked by Zoey Indiana is the conclusion to her Black Ops Bodyguard Shifters series. It’s hard to review one book without reviewing them all; this was a great paranormal series, with lots of mystery, emotion, and, of course steam! Here, we get the answers to so many questions cropping up throughout the series. I feel as if the other books in the series were happy for now, but with this book, we have our HEA for everyone.
This is a great series and, while you can read them independently, they are best read in order. It will just make it more cohesive and easier to follow, as there is a lot going on.

Dawson has secrets and a sword hanging over his head. Well, not literally a sword. He was convicted of a crime he didn't commit in order to get his cooperation to bring down a traitor on the council. He never expects to follow his mate's scent to an ATI compound. He definitely doesn't expect to discover that she is Arric's widow. Helping her escape from her prison cell is only the first step he will make to win over his Tsigo. That may actually be the easiest part...

This book wraps up the series. It was an exciting ride for the BOBS team and their mates. They are bound to pop up again somewhere.I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Okay, I'm just going to say it....... wouldn't you love to be a fated mate? I mean, the ultimate bond. We know shifters aren't real. But that's what makes reading this amazing book so much fun. Zoey Indiana takes her readers on an incredible journey. You're right there front and center for all the action, the drama, the magic and the steam. Where else could you possibly want to be. I gave this book five stars. Did it deserve five? No. It deserves more than that. I so need to read the books prior to this one. This is one helluva book.

A shifter series that brings fated mates and plenty of danger. Finding your fated mate doesn’t mean love or even happiness. For Dawson it seems to be both a blessing and a curse. He would stop at nothing to protect her but can he protect her from the problems and dangers that follow him? For Xia, she had the love of her life and wants no other. Now she only wants to protect her son. But fate definitely has different plans for them. The story brings in danger at several angles. The heat level does get pretty steamy.

This was a great finale and it was so full of action and adventure. Well, it's also full of magic, fated mates and fab chemistry ;) You can expect a dynamic relationship to build between Dawson and Xia as they struggle to find their way together, survive and get that wonderful HEA ;) This final book does close off all the questions I had from the series and gave me a fully satisfied feeling when I hit the end. Good fun!

Love amongst cruelty
All the stories are about love triumphing over the cruelty and jealousy of others. The thought that the mate is a hindrance instead of the mate being your rock, strength and ground, which is what each is to the other. They go thru some crazy trials to find each other and I think it only makes their relationship that much better and stronger. What I wouldn't give to find that in real life!
Love it.... looking forward to more adventures in this series!

This is the sixth and final book in the series. I liked how each story was set at the same time period and overlapping shared scenes. Finally Dawson gets his happy ending. All the questions were answered and the plot explodes.

Another fantastic book to one of my favorite series. A favorite author as well. Zoey always brings action, adventure, entertainment with so mush more into her marvelous reads. Definitely a must read! ❤️❤️❤️
