Asa Mitaka I love the kind of woman who will actually just kill me. I mean really, just absolutely destroy me. I’m talkin’ watermelon in the thighs level carnage.
July 13th chapter was delicious. Makima who? Mitaka's going to surpass the control devil. Also, warning: There's so many guts explosions, and spine-pulling going on as expected of the war devil! But what is CSM if not graphic, so...
Anyway, I've been looking for Denji, and I am so excited about his appearance in the next chapter! He better appear already, lol. Also, we can therefore establish that Mitaka owns this volume's cover. Loved the fiery introduction to the new villain!
(Planning to edit this review weekly, for each chapter released)
Edit:
Forgot to mark it again for July 19th!
Anyway, another delish chapter!! Denji who? Mitaka and War Devil is owning part 2!! Also, the Yoshida and Mitaka ship is seriously killing me, I can't stop smiling!! If this ship sinks, I swear Fujimoto won't hear the end of my rants on twitter!! Haha kidding

EN This volume marks the beginning of the second season of Chainsaw Man.
After the events of the previous volumes — and everything that happened with Makima — we’re now introduced to new characters, including Mitaka Asa.
Reading this volume gives off a refreshing sense of renewal for Chainsaw Man, which is great, since many series tend to drag on for so long that it becomes hard to stay invested. Here, even though the previous events still carry weight and influence the story, the introduction of new characters and contexts gives it a welcome feeling of a fresh start.
As for the rest, it keeps everything we’ve come to expect from the series: intensity, creativity, and Fujimoto’s art, which keeps getting better with every volume.
CHAINSAW MAN IS BACK!! And it's back with a vengeance, and a new perspective. We get to see these early chapters told through the eyes of one Asa Mitaka, a young and disillusioned student of the same school as Denji. Seeing the world from her often pessimistic perspective for the first couple of chapters was a change of pace from Denji's simple and stupidity filled optimism. Seeing a true and complete devil union between Asa and Yoru has also created a really cool and fun dynamic between the main cast. Chainsaw Man is back, and I can't wait to see where it goes!
Asa is the protagonist for all the girls with anxiety- I can't wait for her and Denji to meet (neither of them know how to hold a normal conversation).
Also: Denji gassing Chainsaw Man up during the street interview + his little coffee shop date with Yoshida both fried me 😭 he's so funny for no reason; I'm so happy he'll be in this part of the series.
I've been reading the chapters weekly/fortnightly on Shonen Jump.
Arc 2 has been an excellent follow up to the Public Safety Arc so far and I'm very much impressed with the different take on Chainsaw Man's journey so far. I like seeing Denji's journey from a different perspective even though we haven't really seen him much in this arc as of yet.
I have a feeling that: 1. Fujimoto is going to blow my mind once again and 2. Fujimoto is also going to find new ways to break my heart.
Part two of Chainsaw demon devil man is packed with new characters, new motivations and plenty of new weirdness. What strikes me the most is that the panelling and the flow of the pages are smooth as ever and the focus we get on the characters and their reaction is perfect. Chapters are longer and more thought out. It feels like the break between parts gave Fujimoto the necessary pause he wanted because the story is fresh, engaging, utterly different from the first part, yet it still has the same core.
I waited until a couple volumes of the next part of Chainsaw Man were out before I started reading again!
RIP Bucky lol oops 😬😅 War Devil is the coolest 😍🖤 Where is Power lol I miss her?! Hopefully next time.. 🥺
This was a good introduction but now am ready to see where it goes from here…! Like how tongue in cheek Volume 12 got in parts, and it feels like there’s even more gore which is always welcomed by me!
The story takes a step back with a soft restart that finds Denji in a high school with a new cast of classmates and devils. It's still engaging in its goofy way, but spends most of its time setting up the new status quo that's surely going to get status squooshed.
