„Ich möchte ganz offen reden. Keine Überraschungen, keine Geheimnisse. Ich will dich, Eva.

Looking back, from the first book in this series, and actually all the way up to this book, I liked the concept of a little quirky town like, Blue Moon. This book takes quirky to a whole other level! The Beautification Committee, was also OTT, in this one. If you throw in the dynamic of the Merrill sisters’ crazy ass mother, the focus was taken away from the relationship between the MC’s, as well. I wished I liked it more, it had potential, and I really liked Donovan and Eva’s characters individually, and them as a couple. In my opinion, the other dynamics at play, just really overshadowed their relationship, and this story in general.

*lol* astrological apocalypse *lol*

It was a bit bizarre, but still funny.

Very likable hero. Thanks God not a womanizer as his 2 previous buddies.
Sweet heroine. A klutz, but not a doormat.
Safe!

I would have been 4 if not for

Overall I liked this series.
My favorites #1 and #2, this one takes the 3rd place ;-)

Reading, which makes you silly happy!

I don't even care if I'm spoiling the plot, that unintended pregnancy was just so shitty.

I am a sucker for a good guy hero and damn did Lucy Score outdo herself with Donovan Cardona in Holding on to Chaos. You’ll I seriously want to lick him and claim him as mine! But, I think Evangelina Merill might just fight me over him. This book was serious chaos, a planetary disruption made Blue Mooners lose their ever loving minds and poor Sheriff Cardona was trying to date Eva and kept getting interrupted. Hilarious and fun but with a fair amount of secrets that come to light to add some serious and a bit of tension, Holding on to Chaos is my favorite book in this series and I seriously want to give Lucy Score a hug for writing a good guy hero.

Evangelina (Eva) Merill is settling in to her life in Blue Moon and loves being close to her sisters, her father and step-mom, and all of the friends she’s made. Since she was a small child Eva has kept secrets from her family which have only intensified as she’s gotten older and she has finally decided to take a stand and live the life she deserves.

Watching his mother serves as sheriff of Blue Moon and his father as fire chief, it would be easy to say that Donovan Cardona was born to serve, but it goes beyond that for him. He loves his hometown and wants nothing more to protect and help the his friends and neighbors including Eva whose mere presence at one of his best friend’s wedding months ago knocked him for a loop. Donovan is enamored with the accident prone, somewhat secretive Eva and he is determined to not only get to know her but uncover all of her secrets.

I loved the way Donovan told Eva upfront he wanted to date her and he was in it for the long haul, but he understood her need to go slow. While it took him awhile to make his move once he did he went all out and I loved every minute of it. At times Eva was a bit overwhelmed and didn’t quite trust what Donovan was saying, but she did know he was a good, honest, and patient man and was willing to let him show her that what he wanted with her was the real deal.

From their interrupted dates, to their sneaky sexy times, and everything else in between I loved their friendship, courtship, and how they showed each other day in and day out they would be there for each other.

A feel good love story that kept me engaged from the first page to the last, I flat out LOVED Holding on to Chaos!

The author entertained herself, but not me in this one. I loved Sheriff Sexy and wanted more of his story with Eva but all the nonsense with the town kept getting in the way. The quirky town is supposed to be an interesting setting but it kept taking over the story instead and pushing the main characters out. Literally, actually. The H could never spend any time in the presence of the h because he was always running off to another stupid disaster. A LITTLE goes a LONG way, and this was too much. I could just picture the author laughing herself silly while writing it, but she should have taken the best and edited the rest out.

A genuine five star read for me and am I glad to read it ...
H is town sheriff while h has just moved to their hippie town ... she is a secret romance writer and is always caught up in some sheninagans of her own ....
This H is a really amazing character; a hero with a fixer complex who is madly attracted to the h ... h is attracted right back and while she has some issues, namely being not so honest and always wanting to solve her problems with zero help from anyone, she is amazing otherwise ...
There is a planetary alignment about to happen and their town will be affected ... causing people to cause mayhem ... of the funny kind ...
Sheriff H is running around, trying to do his job and in one of the sweetest and funniest scenes I have come across, H needs a jail to keep town people in till morning when the whole astrological apocalypse will be over, h goes to the local school and organises a makeshift cell ...
Its a funny read and worth reading ... H truly is drool worthy ...

A quirky town where everyone knows everyone, a lot of strange behaviour, a hot cop and slightly accident prone heroine - ingredients for a really fun story. Yet despite some tiny smiles, I didn't find myself absorbed in this and wasn't invested in seeing how the main characters got their HEA.

Waaaaaay too quirky for me. I love Donovan and Eva, but everything else was just too OTT. Eva’s been giving money to her shitty mom...why? Her mom didn’t have anything to blackmail her with. I could care less about the wacky machinations of the town.

Still love LS, but this one was not my fav.

Utter Chaos

Binge reading back to back, you’d think it would get repetitive the stories the town and it’s fabulous characters. Right? WRONG. With each new book I’ve fallen deeper into Blue Moon and it’s inhabitants.

You never know what to expect going into a story but author Lucy Score delivers fresh storyline’s, and continuity that is flawless and accurate.

When town of Blue Moon descends into chaos you are guaranteed a front row. Bring the popcorn because things are about to get hot.

Sheriff Donavon knows what he wants. After pining for the youngest Merrill sister Eva he’s ready to lay it all on the line.

A heat factor that’ll make you blush. And a wonderful witty, laugh out read that’s had me 6 books in.

Don’t be as mistaken as I was. This book is not about the start of a relationship between two people. This book is about the whole town and is just as focused on everything and everyone else than the main characters. If not more so.

Lots of people were given way too much space without ever really making sure the reader could keep up with all the names.

I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the characters (all 50 of them) and I didn’t like the writing..

Actually a bit surprised because I LOVED the book Method by the same author. It broke my heart and mended it at the same time. Made me feel all the feels. So what was it with this one? I don’t get it. It doesn’t make sense.

Not sure if I will be testing out another book by this author now..

Spoiler alert!
Plot:
They meet. They live in a crazy town that experiences an even more crazier period of time. He falls for her immediately. She finds it hard to believe it is really true or that the “crazy month” is to blame. They start dating. Her drugged up and mentally unstable mother shows up threatening everyone. They throw her in jail and the couple gets married. She gets pregnant - I think? (Skipped a lot so not really sure). Happily ever after. Or something. The end.

This was a snoozefest and a complete ramble. I did not understand the love for this series at all.

I could barely finish this one because these two just kept tiptoeing around each other unnecessarily. It was quite obvious both liked the other and there was no reason for them to take so long getting together. This author does like to write longer books, and I usually love it but this one was truly not necessary.

The bit about her biological mother and all that mess was just thrown in there with no proper place tbh. It was such an unnecessary mess and I felt it only served one purpose to make the heroine's actions and immaturity seem plausible.

IDK, I really wanted to like this one but It felt a bit below the bar for me.

Where to start? Hmmmmm first as usual Lucy has written another Blue Moon masterpiece!! Blue Moon might be my favorite fictional town! Holding on to Chaos is hilarious!! You get to catch up with all your favorite characters from the previous books and what the Mooners are up to in their quirky town! Eva is a hot mess and I love her!!! Donovan is a swoon worthy hot sheriff! He couldn't be more perfect! Mix in the crazy town and you have a wonderful story!!

You definitely need to read the previous books in the series prior to this one. None of them disappoint! Thank you Lucy!!

I have been enjoying this series but this book was a flop. The whole town going crazy because of the planets? We got more of the same crazy town story than we did of the characters. Also Donovan was just way too intense, I understand it was love at first sight on his end but it was still way too intense for me. Also marriage before the first date? The whole plot was just too much, and not in a good way. 2 stars because I liked the updates on the characters from the previous books. Also enough of BC.

Blue Moon is my want to be vacation destination getaway! And Lucy Score gave us probably her funniest, chaotic, sexiest book yet, if that is even possible and I hope not! I fell in love with Donovan the “Sexy Sheriff” and Eva in the first few pages, but you add in the hilarious town uproar of Uranus… What more can you ask for! Their story is sweet, heartwarming, with its own undercurrent of drama that is unfolding but you have the Merill girls, the Pierce family and of course Clementine the goat! What more can you ask for. Out of the many series of books out there this has to be one of the BEST!! You will not be disappointed, you will be LAUGHING from page one! Just sit back and enjoy the wonderful town that is Blue Moon and the creative mind of Lucy Score.

Love it!!! I couldn't wait for Eva's book I knew it would be great. I think this was one of the funniest! Uranus .... hilarious... and the town omg I died laughing. I loved that there really wasn't any ups and downs with Sherif Sexy and Eva. Their story was very cute and had lots of humor. Eva's career path was perfect for her personality and I don't know Lucy, but I can only imagine she put some of herself in Eva's character! Hope there's more to come. I love Lucy's small town stories!

WOW!! They just keep getting better and better. Donovan & Eva were awesome together. The banter between the sisters is funny. You have captured this small town aura and make me want to move there and join in the craziness. Thanks for the opportunity to do an ARC and get to experience this awesome book early.

I am so over the beautification committee and the subplot it provides in this one. This book did not need to be over 400 pages and would’ve benefited from just cutting that stuff out.

4.5 ⭐️'s.

I can honestly say that I have no desire to visit the crazy, quirky town of Blue Moon. I would, however, love to meet the Pierce family. Lucy Score builds her characters so effortlessly. I have laughed out loud at them and their antics all through this series, mostly Clementine and her love for Jax! 🐐 It's definitely a series i would recommend.

Every great romance should have a great belly laugh or two! Lucy Score's new book, #5 in the Blue Moon series, sums up everything good about Blue Moon. So wonderfully written. There's nothing like a great planetary crossing to bring out everyone in town! All of our favorite town characters are featured and funny and loving as ever. Our main love interests, Eva & Donovan, are absolutely wonderful together. Eva is sweet, sexy, funny and clumsy while still managing to hide her own dark secret. Donovan is like John Wayne, a great caring cowboy hero who is kind, strong and sexy and he has fallen hard for Eva. Being the Sheriff and all, he definitely has a lot on his hands handling the effects of a planetary crossing much less learning to love Eva and handling the fallout from her secrets.
I believe this book is the best written in the series. I mean it has everything...fun, laughter, crying, loving, steamy sex and suspense. I absolutely loved experiencing all those emotions. Eva reminds me a lot of Lucy Score and I thought for awhile Donovan might have some characteristics of Mr. Lucy but wasn't sure. To top it all, it had one of the best happily ever after endings!
Blue Moon is one town I could read with great happiness and joy one generation to another!
I received an advance copy of this book and I am voluntarily writing this review.

I will refrain from rating this book, since I skipped books 3 and 4 of the series. It's also been a while since I've read books 1 and 2, and that didn't help things either. Apparently, I should know a lot of the characters in book 5 since they appeared in the ones that I skipped. Obviously, I have no idea who they are and it's definitely affecting my enjoyment of this. I like the engaging storytelling, but find that maybe it's too rom com for me. It's hard to make connections to the plot/town/characters if everything just seems like a big joke. I may also need to revise my plan of continuing on with a series that contains book(s) that I'm skipping. Especially with the small town element that's so strong in this series, skipping a book basically means I should stop reading the series altogether.

Overall, I enjoyed the dual povs, and seeing the couples from the first two books. The H was also lovely, but the h annoyed me. She kept lots of secrets and lied by omission many a time. If I️ were to rate this, I’d give it two stars. If I️ were in the mood for a light and funny book, it’d get three. Gotta love a hot H who isn’t a manho. :)

This story was over the top, a H confessing his love & marriage plans even before their first date, then the whole ridiculous town going crazy & h's stupid storyline with stalker mother but I went along with it and it fit into my mood.

This book is a solid 4 stars and my least fav in this series for now and I'm gonna explain why.

First of all we had all that Uranus plot and everything was possible. And because of that I was so confused because I couldn't be sure what was true and what was caused by Uranus.

I genuinely thought this book was going to be more funnier than it was but it was fun but idk.

Now talking about Eva and Donovan I was expecting so much I think I had too much expectations for them. Well they made a good couple but it is the same as the rest of the book I couldn't distinguish what was real or Uranus. Well and it has that trope that can make readers run for their lives.

Well with this book we officially end the circle of the found family that the Pierce's and the Merrill's created. Such a wonderful and big found family.

And I think I'm gonna give it a pause after this one.

Sometimes when the world is going to sh*t you just need a sweet, silly, steamy Lucy Score book. Was it a little over-the-top with small town zany antics? YES. Were there a few too many insta-love professions? Of course! But I was in the mood to just go along for the ride this time.

I didn’t realize this was a 5th book in a series. Lucy scores writing is just so easily to read and follow. Written like a stand-alone but I definitely missed some earlier character development with the side characters. Honestly he “knock ‘em out” series is still far superior. Definitely could’ve helped go read 1-4 still.
