I was born in the small southern town of Panguitch, UT at 12:46pm on July 4, 1953; in the hallway of the hospital because there were no delivery rooms available that day. I grew up believing everyone was celebrating my birthday on July 4th because that's what my parents told me when I asked about all the fireworks. My family may have been very poor, but we were happy. We moved several times and I spent most of my childhood between Southern Utah and Henderson, Nevada.

I am no longer driving a semi truck due to a stroke I suffered in 2004. My driving career spanned over 50 years and 3.5 million safety miles for ATA; traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada. I am now disabled and have a lot of time to write and tell my stories.

I had two publications put in the Journal of Pharmacy Technicians in the 1980's and one short story published in Reader's Digest when I was a teenager, which kindled my love of storytelling and writing.

My favorite writers are Stephen King, Robin Cook, John Grisham, Dean Koontz, J.K. Rowling and Stephanie Powers, among others.
