A mysterious knock on the door has left the farm in disarray. Quinn and Gus are on the run. Fletcher and his friends are on a journey to make new allies. Life is never simple in the apocalypse, and every single one of them will be pushed to their limits to survive.

So good to be back in this spooky zombie world. Alright, weird way to put it, considering there are zombies, but opening this book up is kind of comforting. Almost like it's a book I read when I was a teenager and I'm coming back to it. I love the characters and my aniexty is constantly through the roof with wondering what will happen, who will get it?
The big thing for me with this book was the last one ending with a knock at the door. Imagine that? You're hiding out and someone knocks at the door. Can zombies knock now? Are they like vampires? Do they need your permission to come in before they make you dins dins? I was surprised though. I thought the person at the door was going to be obvious, I was wrong! Much excitement.
The farm group remains my favourite but holy cow, the group out on the highway......woah, woah. That was fun and scary. Dear Hayley and Laura, you have given me nightmares!
I really liked the new characters too. For a book with alot of characters, I find myself able to remember them. I quite like Sam and her feelings about the world. I also liked Freddie and her back story. Why you gotta hit me with emotions?!
Can't wait for more! 5 stars as usual. Please read this series folks!
It feels quite weird reviewing these books one at a time as they are short and technically all just one book separated up. This particular instalment is full of chaos and excitement. A lot of ‘biter’ action! There were several parts that made me think of the walking dead such as deserted cars on the highway, the biter in the well and Ross’s whistle. At the moment my favourite character is probably Fletcher and I really don’t like Ross and Alby!
Another fantastic book in this series! Ooh the drama and tension has increased. And I love seeing groups coming together and attempting to work out the dynamics!
The Farm group receive unexpected guests when new survivors hammer on their door, seeking help for one of their wounded and recently bitten friends. The action quickly flares up as the newcomers unfortunately bring along a horde of rotters to the moat, but quickly prove their worth by demonstrating their unusual yet effective methods of decimating the zombie threat.
After things have settled down, we get a chance to see the blossoming romantic relationships grow further, as well as the new cast mingling with the fan favourites.
The Fortress group manage to forge a new alliance (title drop!!) with Hunter and his group, and after claustrophobic, nail biting encounter with rotters manage to make it back with their new members. However, we get a glimpse at Alby's ruthless streak as he plans to remove one of the newbies from the equation...
Ross continues to sink to new lows to ensure his grip on power is retained and that no one is able to escape his grasp, much to Quinn's dismay. Though still alive for now, death might be a mercy when faced with Ross's cruelty and sadism...
Excellent read as usual, with a terrifying cliff-hanger!!
Alliance is the sixth book in the Apocalypse series. As with all of the five books before it, Alliance pulled me into its world from the first page. Alliance started off with a blast and never let up page after page. I was hooked from the first page. My eyes never left the page from the first to the last.
I was drawn in by all the zombie fighting as our friends fought their way through the hordes of zombies. I enjoyed getting to know each character a little more. I also enjoyed getting to meet the new recruits or the new people they met when a group came to their door asking for help. I was really touched when they opened the door for the new people to come in considering what it was they may have been letting in.
I have sorely enjoyed reading Alliance as I love zombies and can’t ever seem to get enough. I look forward to reading more in this zombie-infested world that Hayley and Laura have created for Alliance or at least I hope there will be more soon.
I highly recommend Alliance to all zombie fans! Grab your copy of Alliance today for more zombie action!
Alliance is book six of this Apocalyptic Zombie outbreak series and like the title suggest the main focus of this book is friendships both new and old.
There is a whole lot of inclusivity of the LGBTQIA+ community and a new non-binary character has joined the story so it's the perfect series to pick up for Pride month.
Personally I wanted more gore and action as like Luke I'm quite cynical about letting newbies in and as always love his straight to the point attitude! 😂
One particular event reminded me of a scene from A Quiet Place so that was pretty cool to pick up on. (Unsure if it was referencing the film but it still fit in well to that aspect of the book)
It's seems that bigger things are coming and that more blood will be shed whether it is at the hands of the humans or the undead.
I think everyone who has read the series so far will have a shared hatred of a certain character and can't wait to see whether or not they perish.
As always I recommend this series and Hayley's other works.
I'm incredibly excited to be sharing this book with you all next week! There's so much coming up in the Apocalypse universe...it's about to get darker, sadder and even scarier! Laura and I hope you're going to love this book as much as we do!!!
4.75 because they keep leaving me devastated🫠 intriguing newcomers all around, tense action and good set ups for what's coming. diving straight into the next installment
3.5☆ Really good part with a lot of character and plot building. The scene with the bus and the toy rocket had me on edge. Same with Quinn and Tomas. Not a lot happened in this part but theres foreshadowing for whats to come.
