Was this a good book? I believe the author desired to show socratic thinking as applicable to everyday life. was he successful? Yes. Did he accomplish the promise of the book to "master" socratic thinking? No. To master a subject, one must put it in practice, which the author suggests.
I love the author's encouragement to be open-minded and hear from others with different perspectives and beliefs.
Overall, this book was well done yet could be shortened to a blog post. If you want a quicker read, skip the chapters and just read the summaries at the end of each chapter.
