USA Today bestselling romantic thriller author. From an early age, Trisha Wolfe dreamed up fictional worlds and characters and was accused of talking to herself. Today, she lives in South Carolina with her family and writes full time, using her fictional worlds as an excuse to continue talking to herself.
I devoured in one sitting. Trisha Wolfe doesn’t write stories, I swear she possesses you. Her words crawl under your skin and set your imagination on fire. LOVESICK is poetic and intoxicating. My eyes burned to keep reading, my brain worked overtime catching every layer. My heart beating with a new rhythm that was everything Collins and Orion. LOVESICK wasn’t merely a dark romance… it was the cosmos tearing itself open in beautiful chaos.
This is a serious case of “I’m done with the book but the book isn’t done with me” I’m staring into spaces lost into this universe a burning star waiting for its inevitable demise, I want to stay into this universe but gravity is pulling me mercilessly into the real world…
I’m forever grateful to the voices speaking to this amazing woman, every time Trisha brings us a story I’m pulled into an endless vortex of emotions. If you asked me “are you into astrophysics” I’d look at you with a puzzled expression and yet if you ask me after reading this first instalment I’d say “I’m obsessed”.
The universe, the tides and astrophysics all took an entirely new perspective. I can suddenly see magic and poetry where void existed. Woven into this mysterious science lay a heart wrenching story. Orion and Collins took residence in my heart and slowly burrowed into my soul, they invaded my mind, where they now live rent free, and still not happy they went deep into my marrow. They didn’t simply leave a mark, they left an imprint and if I weren’t a scaredy cat I’d tattoo a star pattern on my skin.
Collins is a formidable woman with a painful past, on a mission to avenge her old self whose voice has been stolen from her, she aims at Orion Night as her target. Orion is a devastatingly handsome and brilliant astrophysicist with his own secrets and dark side. As they collide their union shakes the universe, colliding forces are at war, each trying to find out what that other is looking for. A game of pray and predator where the roles are seamlessly reversed, until you don’t know who is what, and when you think you have it figured out, the author plunges you into a black hole with a starry plot twist.
The story is told in dual POV and Trisha does an amazing job building this universe with each carefully laid out word. Her unique and unparalleled prose is a journey to savour slowly and with abandon, I craved each metaphor and structured parallel. I discovered new truths about the cosmo and learned about fireflies and their daunting mating rituals. And after I was done I felt an incredible need for more, more of this story and more these characters and although I died on that cliffhanger, I’m also rejoicing because we will have another book about them and I’ll be waiting for them while staring at the stars, admiring starlings and looking with knowing eyes at the fireflies.
LOVESICK is Book 1 in the Darkness Behind the Stars duet—and it absolutely woke up and chose chaos. 🖤✨
Collins Holbrook’s life is split clean in two: before she died… and after him. A ViCAP crime analyst who lives for patterns, profiles, and predators, Collins is deep in the Reaper Killings—a serial case spanning nine states and five years.
Her investigation leads her to Stonehurst University and straight into the orbit of Dr. Orion Night: ✨ brilliant astrophysicist ✨ celebrated genius ✨ quietly, terrifyingly unbalanced
The university has worked overtime to keep his instability under wraps, trusting in-house psych evaluations to determine the risk he poses. Collins is brought in to do what she does best—observe, assess, and decide just how dangerous Orion truly is.
Because obviously, nothing could go wrong. 🔥
What unfolds is a dark academia, slow-burn thriller romance dripping with obsession, revenge, and that razor-thin line between brilliance and madness. Lovesick asks the haunting question: What happens when memory outlives death—and love becomes the most dangerous force in the universe? 🌌
Trisha absolutely snapped with this one—mind-bending twists, a brutal cliffhanger, and the kind of story that rewires your brain and leaves you staring at the ceiling questioning everything. Proceed with caution. And maybe snacks. 🖤📚
Things to know Dark academia, he falls first, cosmic serial killer, psychological thriller romance, gothic university, astrophysicist x psychologist, astrological soulmates, revenge. Serial killers, plot twists, ocd rep, drugging

collins&orion is unforgettable, a beautiful toxicity, charged with hunger, violence and devastation.
I’ve anxiously awaited this book since the author first mentioned writing it, and having an advanced copy made my entire year. It was beautiful and such a great twisted mix of mystery, thriller, dark romance, and surprisingly sci-fi. I will be on pins and needles until the story continues in the next book.
𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒌 was so worth the wait! Trisha doesn’t just write words. This penetrated every part of my mind and soul. She give us another unforgettable story that will be carved into my mind until we get more. Collins Holbrook and Orion Night was an unexpected plot twist that I didn’t see coming. This easily made my list of top reads of 2026. ♾️ stars.
I didn’t give more of a review with this being such an anticipated book I don’t want to spoil anyone’s reading experience. I can say that Collins is fierce and strong and I can’t wait to hear what she wants to tell us still. Orion ahh this man stole my heart. I was 😭😭😭😭😭 the last several chapters. She always does this to me I am not sure I’m prepared for what comes next.

Lovesick is not a book you simply read. It’s one you devour until it becomes one with your existence. It burrows under your skin, rearranges your understanding of obsession, and dares you to sit with the uncomfortable truth that love—real love—can be both luminous and catastrophic.
At its core, this story is about inevitability. About gravity. About what happens when two brilliant, damaged forces enter the same orbit and neither is capable of escaping the pull. Orion Night is obsession personified—brilliant, unhinged, and painfully self-aware. His desire isn’t subtle or gentle; it’s consuming, and it knows exactly what it is:
“It’s fucking written in the stars. From the moment Collins entered my orbit, there was one thing I understood unequivocally: She was mine. She belonged to me.” -Orion
Collins Holbrook is equally compelling—sharp, layered, and far more dangerous than she initially appears. Watching her unfold is both devastating and empowering, especially as the cost of her choices becomes clear. There is no easy path here, no clean morality—only survival, sacrifice, and intent.
What makes Lovesick exceptional is how seamlessly it braids astrophysics, psychology, and desire into a single narrative thread. The science is never decorative; it is directly correlated to the story. The metaphors land because they’re earned, and the parallels between cosmic phenomena and human behavior are handled with incredible care.
Orion’s fixation isn’t about possession alone—it’s about understanding, about confronting the darkness head-on:
“I’m desperate to unwrap my anomaly, to tear her open and discover what hidden danger haunts her dark corners. There’s a monster in her past, and I want to wrestle with it.” -Orion
The intimacy is heavy, slow, and suffocating in the best way. Even when the prose pulls back, the tension doesn’t. Every interaction feels charged, dangerous, and intimate—like standing too close to something that could destroy you:
“My senses come alive, wanting to experience the ruthless feel of his touch. Touched by the hands of death.” - Collins
And threaded through everything is the book’s defining truth—the line that perfectly encapsulates Lovesick in a single breath:
“For everything beautiful in the universe, there exists a terrifying symmetry. What is luminous and breathtakingly full of wonder is mirrored by its opposite. Shadows that are desolate and horrifying, brimming with destruction and decay.” - Orion
This is dark academia at its most cerebral. A romance that doesn’t soften its edges. A story that understands obsession as both hunger and gravity. Lovesick is haunting, intelligent, brutal, and beautiful—and once it takes hold, it does not let go.
Lovesick is not a romance meant to be read with a calm heart. It’s a story that unsettles you, pulls you apart, and forces you to question what love really means when desire, obsession, and emotional darkness become tangled together. Trisha Wolfe once again proves that her strength lies not in writing pretty love stories, but in exploring love that hurts, festers, and feels almost like an illness.
From the very first pages, it’s clear this isn’t a conventional romance. The narrative is deeply introspective, heavy with psychological tension, and wrapped in an unsettling atmosphere that follows you through every chapter. There’s a constant sense of emotional danger, as if you’re stepping into territory where no one walks away unscathed—and that’s exactly what makes the book impossible to put down.
The story centers on Collins Holbrook and Orion Night, two deeply broken characters who aren’t looking to be saved. Collins, the female protagonist, is a fascinating character: intelligent, intense, and shaped by a way of feeling that exists outside the norm. Her narrative voice is raw, uncomfortable, and at times painfully intimate. She doesn’t soften her impulses or try to justify them, and that honesty makes her feel incredibly real.
Orion Night is the perfect counterbalance and, at the same time, a dark reflection of Collins. He’s magnetic, reserved, and disturbing in that quiet, understated way Trisha Wolfe writes so well. His connection with Collins isn’t built on stability or safety, but on mutual recognition of their shadows. They don’t promise each other light; they offer understanding.
What struck me most about Lovesick is that the relationship is never romanticized. Love doesn’t heal here. It doesn’t fix or redeem. Instead, it’s obsessive, consuming, and at times destructive. Wolfe explores how desire can turn into dependency, and how two people can find each other precisely because they’re equally damaged.
The prose is dense, poetic in places, and brutally honest in others. Some scenes aren’t meant to please—they’re meant to provoke a visceral reaction. This novel feels more like a psychological character study than a traditional romance, which is exactly what makes it so powerful and unforgettable.
Lovesick is a perfect read for lovers of dark, psychological, morally gray romance. It isn’t comfortable or light, but it is deeply immersive. Collins and Orion linger in your mind because they represent a version of love that’s rarely shown without filters.
Lovesick by Trisha Wolfe is a dark romance, so please check your trigger warnings before going in. That said, I absolutely devoured this book.
What I didn’t expect—at all—was how much I would learn while reading it. The way mental health themes were woven into the story was genuinely beautiful: respectful, thoughtful, and deeply organic. Nothing felt forced, preachy, or cringy. It never felt like it was there to tick a box. Instead, it fit seamlessly into the characters, the plot, and the emotional core of the story—and it actually made me more aware and reflective as a reader. That’s not something I say lightly.
Orion completely stole my heart. He is the epitome of a tortured hero, and by the end of the book, it’s impossible not to sympathize with him and want to protect him at all costs. My heart genuinely ached for him. Collins also surprised me in the best way—she’s fierce and strong, but not in a vulgar or abrasive sense. Her strength is written with grace and depth, and I would love to see more female characters portrayed the way she is.
The chemistry between Orion and Collins is intense. The tension, the emotional pull, the romance—it all hits. The astronomy and astrology elements added such a unique layer to the story. I’ll be honest: some of the more intellectual details went over my head, but that never once took away from my enjoyment. I was still fully immersed, fully invested, and emotionally locked in the entire time.
And then the final stretch of the book… brutal in the best way. Just when you think you’ve processed everything, another twist hits—and it hurts. The last 30 pages had my gut in knots. The emotional payoff was painful, powerful, and incredibly well done.
Lovesick releases on February 17, and I cannot recommend it enough. I already know the wait for book two is going to be painful—but based on how book one was set up, I have no doubt it’s going to be phenomenal.
"You feel so fucking perfect against me, it terrifies me, starling. Once I discover how right it feels to be inside you...I'll be utterly lost."
There are stories that unfold like constellations distant at first, cold points of light and then suddenly you realize they have been mapping you all along. Lovesick by Trisha Wolfe is one of those stories.
It is a dark academic romance steeped in shadow, obsession, and celestial gravity. The FMC Collins Holbrook, an investigator is marked by a personal tragedy that is never fully revealed. She investigates a series of murders, and to get closer to the truth, Collins goes undercover to find answers. The suspect is our MMC Orion Night.
Orion is the kind of character who feels written in starlight and darkness. After a traumatic accident, he develops touch aversion, a near constant barrier between himself and the world: Gloves. Always Gloves. But what makes their connection so powerful is how utterly meaningless those barriers become in her presence. The chemistry between them is charged, like two celestial bodies caught in an inevitable collision.
The lines blur quickly. Professional boundaries dissolve. What begins as calculated proximity turns into something far more volatile. He falls first and harder.
The romance in this book deserves a special mention. There are a few scenes containing kinks like choking and breath play but it's not just desire. It's about control and surrender. About fear and trust. About using the body to say what the mind cannot survive admitting. This isn't just smut. Its intimacy is stripped to its most dangerous form. Every touch (or lack of it) feels intentional, symbolic, and deeply emotional.
Stars, constellations, darkness, gravity are woven seamlessly into the narrative, mirroring the characters' inner worlds. Love here isn't soft or safe. It's vast, consuming, and terrifying. Lovesick is haunting and intense. I'm dying for book 2!!!!
YES. YES. AND ABSOLUTELY YES. Trisha Wolfe is that author for me—and LOVESICK (Darkness Behind the Stars, Book 1) just casually rearranged my brain chemistry.
This book didn’t just entertain me, it consumed me. The plot? A masterpiece. The attention to detail? Surgical. The characters? Painfully perfect. I finished the last page and had to sit there… staring into the void… because WHAT DID I JUST READ?! And that cliffhanger? Cruel. Illegal. I need book two immediately.
Lovesick is a dark, intoxicating exploration of obsession, revenge, memory, and love—the kind of love that doesn’t save you, it destroys you beautifully. It drifts between past and present in a slow, deliberate way that demands patience… and rewards you for it. This is not a book you rush. This is a book you savor.
The tension is feral. Trisha Wolfe has a gift for turning the smallest moments into absolute devastation. The yearning builds. The restraint burns. And when these two finally collide? Violent. Explosive. So satisfying it hurts.
Orion Night—listen. This man will ruin you. A dark, tortured, filthy-mouthed genius with touch aversion and a mind that lives in the shadows. Every word out of his mouth is unfiltered chaos, and yes, I would absolutely let him destroy my life. Collins Holbrook is everything I want in a FMC. Strong, seductive, cunning, and never to be underestimated. She may show cracks, but make no mistake—she’s lethal.
This chapter of their story is wrapped in tragedy, but it’s far from over. I am now sitting here, not patiently, waiting for Trisha Wolfe to put me out of my misery.
✨ This is the kind of book that alters you. ✨ Dark academia. Obsession. Stars. Madness. Love. ✨ Read it. Then come scream with me.
I received a complimentary ARC. This is my honest, unhinged review.
Lovesick is a dark academia story about Dr. Orion Night and Dr. Collins Holbrook exploring revenge, obsession, and the universe in darkness behind stars. A star might be the only thing that can save him. … There is a killer aligning bodies with constellations in a ritualistic manner. Dr. Collins was invited to Stonehurst University to counsel Dr. Orion an astrophysicist. Dr. Orion is working on groundbreaking research to define dark matter. … With revenge in Collins blood she studies Orion for signs of violence. Orions obsession with Collins takes hold of his attention causing a distraction he can’t control. The universe plays tricks as the constellations of the galaxy provide secrets to questions yet unanswered. … Trisha Wolfe gifts her readers with academic literature and scientific research. You will leave this story feeling well educated on all things Star related. With character Dr. Orion Night you know you’re about to be tantalized with knowledgeable information. … I wish my reading level matched Trisha’s writing knowledge. I’m sure she dummed it down except my mind still can’t process the information being presented. Unfortunately, this causes a break in the cycle for me preventing me from fully capturing the essence of this story. I have mad respect for Wolfe’s writing style I just wish my brain would be able to comprehend what she’s writing. … It’s the gift of scientific poetry. An entire universe of poetry written in the stars. Wolfe’s writing is masterful. There’s beauty in the craft of her writing talent.
When you first start reading you get Immediate call backs to The Hollows Row trilogy. WhenI made that realization I was a complete goner for this book and these characters! Orion is Kallum Locke’s long lost cousin in another dimension! Kallum walked so Orion could run!!!!! You have an Agent investigating ritualistic murders and some Dark psychology. But while these elements call back to hollows row, they are also different. Rather than being used under the lens of philosophy we are now seeing the world through the teachings of astrology and astronomy! You start out with a festering need to deep dive into Collins’ past. To nestle yourself into the dark corners of her mind and only emerge when Orion is near so you a bear witness to the draw he has. And oh does that man know to how hold one captive. The show burn, THE YEARNING! Nothing would please me more than to be in his orbit. Trisha knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense and how to keep your mind scrambling to figure out the mystery she has dangling in your face. You feel like you know the answer from the get go. It’s sitting right on the periphery of your mind but Trisha makes you look another way and start a new line of thoughts! In the end Trisha has given you so much of what you want and need from each character that you’re seemingly satiated until you read that last sentence and realize it’s over but you’re still needing more!
This is the kind of book that alters your brain chemistry. The story slowly unfolded in a deliberate dance of past and present that kept me on the edge of my seat regardless of the pace. This is a book written to be savored.
The tension was off the charts. Trisha has a gift for taking a seemingly simple moment and making it absolutely devastating. Let's just say our MMC with a touch aversion gets very creative. When these two finally collided the culmination of all that yearning was violent and oh so satisfying.
I was absolutely entranced by the characters. Orion - the kind of book boyfriend who will ruin you for all others. Every word out of his mouth was pure, unfiltered filth. A dark and tortured soul you can't help but wanting to fix, even if I already think he's pretty perfect. Collins - I love a strong FMC, and Collins is a big contender for one of my faves. Even if she shows signs of weakness, do not underestimate her. She is seductive and cunning - a lethal combination.
And after 465 of pages of pure poetry... it only took five little words to completely unravel me. This chapter of their story was wrapped in a tragic bow, but it's far from over. I will now sit here and wait not so patiently for Trisha Wolfe to put me out of my misery.
I received a complimentary ARC. This is my honest review.
Lovesick is a devastatingly beautiful, raw, and emotionally shattering masterpiece that ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and then somehow pieced it back together, only for me to hand it right back to this book to destroy all over again. If you’ve ever loved someone so deeply it felt like both salvation and ruin, this story will gutt you in the best possible way. This is one of those book that I wish I could read for the first time another time. In Lovesick we follow Collins, a crime analyst that is working on a case. In her search she is lead to Stonehurst University where she meets Orion, an Astrophysicst. Orion is obsessed with the darkness behind the stars. The story unfolds in a way that feels inevitable, like you’re watching two stars collide. There’s passion, betrayal, redemption, and a love so deep it borders on obsession. The twists and turns aren’t just for drama, they serve the story. By the end I screamed, I was not ready for it to end. I want to applaud Trisha for writing this book. It is so detailed and rich with information. And while she writes at the beginning that she is by no mean an expert on the matter, I feel like I am now so much wiser. How did you managed to cook up this story!? Serious, I love your brain. Lastly I would like to make a comparison to Silence of the Lambs as a prace! While that book is a Thriller and Lovesick is a Romance, they both are masters in psychological storytelling. They both dissect obsession, power and the cost of intimacy.
ARC review: 4.5⭐️ Trisha wolf is a a genius. Her mind is incredible. This book was INSANE, INCREDIBLE IN EVERY SINGLE WAY POSSIBLE. This book and the writing absolutely consumed my mind, body, my very being. The writing was magnificent, like more than perfection, it was so poetic and the storytelling was so intoxicating. The words sucked me in, in ways I cannot even explain. This had some of the most beautiful quotes I’ve read. My god i’m still amazed. The astrsonomy was so interesting and I loved how much this book made me learn. Also the ending had me gasping for breath? How the fuck am I supposed to survive until book two.
The academia vibes were immaculate, the plot had me so hooked, the characters are dark and complex and so multilayered and their connection and tension was so explosive, I could feel every line and every breath they took, my god I loved Collins & Orion. They were a beautiful symphony of toxicity but so perfect for each other. The mystery was so insanely well done and the twists were so good, and the slowburn was excruciating but oh so amazing😍
❤️🔥Dark Academia ❤️🔥Thriller Romance ❤️🔥Obsession ❤️🔥Revenge ❤️🔥Astronomy/astrology
I cannot express how lucky I am to have been able to read this as an ARC.
I felt transported to a place that felt like my own wee hometown (seaside and driech) with a Glasgow style uni. The world building is descriptive and Trisha does an amazing job at setting all the scenes needed to Collins and Orion; dune-side crime scenes and academic observatories included.
This book is deep and thoughtful, exploring lots of crazy spacey stuff. As always, I felt like I was getting an education while reading - which adds to my awe of the author (who does so much research!)
As well as the nerdy stuff, there's also yearning and neediness from the characters that feel like waves ebbing to shore slowly, but inevitably, ending in a loud crashing of waves and sand. And when they crash... boy do they make an impact!
The way the character's stories are told is just brilliant. I can't say too much without spoilers, but I think it was done so well.
The last lines of this book are just ... so much! I was staring at a wall for about five minutes trying to digest it.
Orion and Collins ... not the new Kallum and Halen, but ... let's wait and see... 🫣
I’ll say it and I’ll say it again, Trisha Wolfe writes poetry. I don’t care what y’all say, I genuinely enjoy her books so much.
Lovesick was so captivating. It’s mysterious, dark academia, and very much giving forbidden love. For some reason it was giving me Romeo and Juliet vibes, but darker and smarter.
The way she included constellations, astronomy, and science??? I loved all of it. And yes, it’s very much science poetry in a way. You do have to pay 100% attention because the details matter a lot, and the way it’s written, if you miss something… yeah, you’ll feel it. But it’s beautiful. Like actually beautiful🥹
It is a slow burn, so you do have to be patient. But when it happens…….it happens!!! 🤤
Orion is literally such an amazing MMC. He 100% falls first, and I don’t even need to debate that. Intelligent, intense, and just… ugh. Loved him.
This was a thriller, dark, and addictive. And somehow I’m already ready for book two even though this one hasn’t even released yet.
So yeah, let’s all join Trisha Wolfe on this Darkness Behind Stars series journey because I’m already seated and waiting. 🌙✨📚
Upon finishing Lovesick, I reflected upon each chapter and have made up my mind that this story, in it's entirety, is a love letter from the author to victims and quite possibly herself.
There was a thread of fantasy-esque vision in the formation of the FMC's character, in my opinion. And I think if Trisha's goal was to show resilience, beauty after all the "ugly", and hope for all the tomorrow's they think are doomed...then I believe she truly nailed it. The heart of this story felt like encouragement, optimism, and believing in possibilities rather than dead ends.
With all that being said, I did have a few minor critiques and that is the reason for my rating. But, I am truly looking forward to the next installment!
Thank you so much to Trisha Wolfe for the advanced reading copy!
4.5⭐️ WOW! I swear Trisha does not write just stories she crafts captivating tales that leaves one spellbound. Receiving the arc for this book was such a nice surprise and I completely devoured this.
The story of Orion and Collins is intense, riveting and downright feral. A love that begins as a spark of attraction and soon blossoms into an undeniable fixation.
Dr Orion Night is a legend in astrophysics. He is always in search of an all consuming force, the darkness behind the stars, he needs the danger, the rush, until her. Dr. Collin Holbrook is a crime analyst. Her search leads her to Stonehurst University where she meets Orion. Together, the two of them dive deep into a romance that is dark, deep and beautiful.
If you are interested in a dark romance with tropes like dark academia, he falls first, star crossed lovers, cosmic serial killer and astrophysicist x psychologist do give this a chance!
Collins’ descent into darkness is eloquently displayed, and as a reader, you don’t just witness it—you fall with her. The unraveling is intimate and consuming, written in a way that makes every step toward the edge feel inevitable and hauntingly.
Orion’s meticulous fixation on galaxies, constellations, and cosmic patterns makes him emotionally compelling, adding depth and intensity to his unraveling connection with Collins. It adds a layered depth to his character that feels both mesmerizing and dangerous.
Every line feels intentional, every moment charged, as obsession, fate, and darkness collide. It’s a beautifully written, atmospheric journey into the unknown—dark, compelling, and impossible to look away from.
First, and foremost, I am absolutely honored to be part of Trisha’s ARC team. I quite literally need to check that off my bucket list. All hail the Queen! Thank you!! 🌌🔭 I’ve taken a week to process my thoughts and feelings about this book. A WEEK! I am still absolutely speechless. I knew it was going to be good. But, damn, it was a work of art. Lovesick elicited the same feelings in me that I had when I read Hollow’s Row. And as we know, Hollow’s Row is God tier in my eyes. Kallum, babe, Orion Night is coming for you. This man is absolutely brilliant, completely mad, and he’s got me by the throat. I was hanging on his every word, and do not even get me started on the way he yearnsssss. Dear Gods! Collins is peak feminine rage. She is a goddess of vengeance in her own right, and I can’t wait to revel in the havoc she is going to wreak. The tension between these two is intoxicating. As I have said before, no one writes a serial killer quite like Trisha, and her plot twists are to die for. Do yourself a favor and fall under her spell. You won’t be disappointed. Also, Trisha, that cliffhanger was diabolical.😩 🌊 “ꜱʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀ ʙʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀʀᴍꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀ ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ.” 🎼 “𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴. What do you get when you mix a astrophysics cosmic serial unaliver and a crime analyst? A cosmic collision course leading into a black hole.
If you like your MMCs dark, witty, intelligent beyond belief, obsessive, and who also wears sl*tty little glasses… Meet Dr. Orion Night
If you like your FMCs strong-willed, determined, equally obsessive, and an absolute chess master… Meet Dr. Collin’s Holbrook
It’s no secret Trisha Wolfe is one of my favorite authors. Every time, I’m amazed at the passionate amount of research that Trisha weaves into her story.
The tension was chefs kiss perfection. And y’all, Trisha (or Orion & Collins, really) amped up the spice in this book. Obvs: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️
I have read Lovesick 3 times now and it gets better each time. I am thoroughly consumed by Collins and Orion’s story. Literally an intergalactic love story. One that keeps you guessing until the very last page and makes you want more. Trisha Wolfe did not simply write this, she composed a symphony of words and feelings throughout the stars and our galaxy. Lovesick is the anomaly, it’s diabolical how good it is. Here’s a quote: “Like gravitational waves passing silently through one another, we were never supposed to collide. That’s the law of physics.” Lovesick has entered the part of my brain where it will remain rent free.
Spice: slow burn but damn the tension was 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ honestly all the stars Banter: 😂😂😂😂😂
88 Constellations because 5 stars just aren't enough! 🌠
I love Trisha's writing, and as a huge cosmology nerd, this was my most anticipated read for 2026, and not only did it not disappoint, it exceeded all expectations! 🌌
Orion and Collions are complex and intriguing characters that I enjoyed getting to know. Their story was a thrilling ride, beautifully written, filled with great quotes and an awesome playlist guiding through it.
Was hooked from the first page, immensely enjoyed the different cosmology references threaded throughout the prose. Already looking forward to reading it again. ✨
Lovesick is a beautifully written dark physiological romance that burned slowly, in the best way. The story unfolds piece by piece but the last section of the book pulls everything together and did not disappoint. I dont want to rush the genius that is a Trisha Wolfe series but, I need book 2 after that ending.
The playlist pairs beautifully with each chapter and character pov.
Favorite quotes:
“It means, you were always mine,” I say to her. “You belong to me, with me. Mine to protect.
“You’re not broken. You’re mine,”
She doesn’t need a hero to save her. She needs a monster to fight.
