Even if it’s difficult sometimes, Sophie loves the winter. The bright sunny days that are few and far between, the crisp morning air and the blush on people’s cheeks. It’s her favourite time of year. On the tough days, the days when the sky is so dark she wonders if she’s stuck in perpetual night time- all she really needs to see is the sun. Though she’ll never tell anyone that. Not until he walks into her bookstore. And Sophie decides he looks like sunshine.
Can we talk about love? I'm dying to talk about love.
Hi! Thank you for reading my books! No need to wait to post a review, I'm not fussy about reviews before publish date as I will run from GoodReads so fast xxxxx
The cutest love story, a real slow burn that will leave you both satisfied and wanting to read more about Sophie and Lukas' life together. I really liked how sweet the author's writing is and how you just could feel everything Sophie was feeling. Absolutely loved it! can’t wait to read more
Just know, I feel in utter and complete love with Lukas after this point. You know that tiktok sound. "Have you ever been in love? No. Do you want me to describe it to you?" - this is the book to describe it to you. This is what makes you feel what real love could be. I'm crying over here. I WANT LUKAS NOW. *stomping feet*
I felt so goofy reading this book, I was smiling the whole time. My stomach was filled with butterflies, like wow, is this what it's like to fall in love? The lil trips Lukas makes into Sophie's bookstore, the bookmarks - My god, where was this man made? I'll take one to go. The glances they give each other, the way they flicker their eyes to each others lips. Then quickly look away. Ahhhh, ALL THE FEELS. It gives you that happy feeling reading this book. My stomach was in knots but in the best way. When Lukas would simply place his hand on Sophie's, I got ghostbumps! This is what this book does to you. You are the main character in the book and living your best life.
“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳?” “𝘖𝘯𝘦, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦.”
- this!!!! As soon as I finished this book, I cried. I actually cried. In a happy way but also the fact I can't have Lukas. I'm so in love with him🥺. This novella was perfect and I promise you it will have you smiling from ear to ear❤️
This was an adorable story! It felt like young love, meets self exploration, meets butterflies-just that feeling when you meet someone worthy. Book lovers will love the setting- a book store! It is a sweet development of feelings, relationships and love. The story has depth and character development and is a must read!
Sophie owns a bookstore and meets Lukas when he comes in looking for a textbook he needs so he can pass a class. He starts coming in quite often, then skips some days before becoming a regular, even helping out around the store. I liked the story, but the bad language off and on didn't add to the story and wasn't necessary. Otherwise the story was pretty good.
First off how dare the author write one of the sweetest books I've read in awhile. I could not stop smiling throughout Luke and Sophie's interactions. It was an amazing pallet cleanser between the longer and darker books I've been reading. It was a super quick read and completely wholesome. I absolutely loved it.
SUMMARY Sophie loves winter. But not those dark cold days that look like eternal night. No, she loves those cold sunny days where you can walk leave your house and walk around the neighborhood, rosie cheeks and hands warmly protected by gloves. So it's no wonder her life lights up as she sees the sun enter her bookshop one evening desperately searching for a book that holds the secrets to pass his last degree exam.
MY OPINION
OMG J.S. JASPER wrote the most lovely, soft peced and introspective book all at once. The fact that almost everything in this novel happens inside a bookshop amazes me because at no point it feels boring or repetitive. The vibe was just perfect. I believe is for the gilmore girls, book addicts, academic validation cravers and for the ones that search for love every time they go out - like once a month-
This is a innocent love story about Sophie and Lukas. Lukas is a hard working college kid. Sophie is an emotionally tense young woman who owns a bookstore. This novella follows their story of how a quick meet can spark feelings you never believed possible.
I loved this story. Thank you @jsjsprwrts for allowing me to ARC read for you. Can’t wait to read your next one.
I don't know what to say other than this was heartwarming and sweet—long angst. That man bought a bookmark to talk to her, and his optimism made this even better, even though things weren't perfect for him. JS Jasper is starting to become an auto-read author for me. I'm trying to read her catalog to see if she's going to give us this range.
Format: ebook KU Romance tag: closed door, heavy petting CN: caretaker for a sibling, loss of parents,
A very beautifully written slow-burn romance. I loved the description in the story and the author's tone. There was something magical/fantasy-like about it. A quick read but one that will stay with you as you daydream about Sophie's bookshop.
read in an hour which i liked but idk kinda felt flat and lacked depth? but i think it matches the tropes. idk it just didn’t make sense like why is telling someone that you met your best friend in college is a big deal? i’m not saying it can’t be but if it is then expand on it
I was blessed to be able to ARC read this book. Let me tell you it’s so cute!! You definitely need to get your hands on this one. It’s a quick read and a very adorable romance story.
This is so much fun! Meet cute, slow burn, slice of life. Sophie is deliciously grumpy and closed in. Lukas is like a puppy that swallowed the sun. I laughed so many times! I also picked it up meaning only to read a few pages and ended up finishing the book.
