Great world building along with an action packed storyline! A Monster's Fate is book 4 in Lynnea Lee's Kadrixan Mates series. Its a standalone, but best enjoyed when read inn series order. Predictable, but super cute and entertaining read!

The heroine: Kat - she was taken via transport to counselor Dubois’ safe house after he found out that she knew about his and the colony’s secrets. He had been keeping her locked up in his basement. The location of his safe house was a guarded secret. The counselor and his wife were now the targets of some very angry citizens. The wife thinks that Kat is at fault for the fact that her husband had lost interest in her.
The Hero: Trsak - he found Kat weeks after she had sent her final message. He had been watching counselor Dubois’ home, and he scared the coward into moving Kat and everything else to his bunker. Trsak knew that would be his chance to rescue her. The counselor had a bunch of bio-mechanical tech and even enhanced guards to protect his bunker. He thought she was beautiful, and she thought he was a human named Zach.
The Story: Kat had no interest in the counselor; she had been his assistant and had initially had a high regard for him, thinking he was a champion of the lower classes. She was now very disillusioned after finding out how much blood is on his hands. She has since been a contact for the rebel group that was out to expose all the colony secrets and those of the leaders. Until the counselor found out that she new about him and his friends and their connection to exotech pharmaceuticals. Her main contact with the rebel group was someone named Zach, who had been a bit shy at first, but she liked him, and he was the only one who knew she was one of the good guys and not just assistant and possible mistress of the corrupt councilman.
When the Kadrixan monster flew in and attacked the guards that were bringing Kat into the bunker, she was frightened and had no idea who Trsak was. He knew that someone would be out soon to check on what was going on. He had used a program to make his features look human and filtered his voice through translation software, so Kat had no reason to go anywhere with him. She ran from him, hid and held her breath. Though he easily tracked her by scent. Trsak grabbed Kat and took to the sky.
I loved what Kat had done to those in charge of the colony. She hadn’t only been telling secrets to the rebels; she had also been doing some of her own sabotage. After reading the first three books in this series, I wanted the good guys to get back at the people controlling the world in despicable ways. I always love the adventure type of alien romance where the main characters go on a journey and this book was like that.
This story delivers such a satisfying mix of rebellion, deception, and thrilling rescues. Kat’s determination to sabotage the corrupt colony leaders is such a powerful element—she’s not just a whistleblower; she’s actively striking back. I also love the dynamic of Trsak posing as Zach, making their connection all the more complex. This adventure-driven alien romance has that exhilarating, high-stakes feel that makes every page pulse with tension.
The audiobook is told in two points of view in dual narration. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott narrated. Both of these narrators are good; they have nice voices and are expressive. Definitely voice actors, not just readers, which is a must as far as I am concerned. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are such a power duo in narration—they bring real depth to those emotional moments.

Kat (h), assistant to a colony councilman, has been sending information about the colony’s goings on to Zach whom she believes to be a human with the rebels. She’s actually been communicating with Trsak (H), a Kadrixian warrior using technology to mask his identity. Kat is surprised when she’s imprisoned by the councilman when he discovers her activities and Trsak comes to the rescue, though she refuses to believe he’s Zach. Trsak has his work cut out saving Kat and even more convincing her that she’s his mate. Plenty of ultra-hot and steamy sexy action as Trsak tries to get Kat to accept him, their bond, and his nest. Lovely hot and steamy alien fated mates romance – can’t go wrong with an alien with wings, horns and a tail.

Things are coming to a head with the people trying to hide the Utopia project and Kat is caught in the middle of it all. Mostly because her position as an assistant to one of the people in charge gives her access to information she's been passing along to the Kadrixans and rebels. Unfortunately for her, her boss has developed something of an unhealthy obsession with her and her information-spreading days look to be at an end.
Except, her contact on the outside is one of the Kadrixans and he's not about to leave Kat in the hands of people who will hurt her. So Trsak stages a rescue and soon the two are on the run as they work their way back to the stronghold. Good thing hunter-drones and wild creatures are no match for a Kadrixan who is determined to keep his special someone safe.
That said, things are still a little dicey once they get back to the stronghold because Kat's very public former job has some people not so thrilled to have her around.
A dangerous roadtrip (or sorts) through dangerous territory, impractical shoes, a little betrayal, a steamy night or two spent in a cabin, a warrior who will do anything he needs to do to keep his special someone, and a lady who is determined to make a difference. GOOD TIMES!

Great story. I found myself immersed in the adventure from the beginning. It was fast paced and sprinkled liberally with Lynnea Lee’s signature spice. Kat was street smart and a great adventure partner for Trsak. I found the Utopia story thread becoming more interesting. I really look forward to seeing where the author takes this series.

The two main characters, both resistant fighters, know of each other, but not the real truth. As a result, she’s very leery of him when they first meet. While he recognizes her as his mate, he realizes he will need to take it very slow until he can overcome her fears and she learns to trust him. Danger is a constant threat.

I loved this book and the whole series and I would definitely recommend reading them all and the best part I liked the most is that you never judge a book by its cover and that’s what each human female learned when they fell for there Devil mates. This is Kat and Trsak story that had me hoping they can work it all out. Kat is a human that lives in Nova Vista and works as the personal assistant to Councilor Dubois and he treats her very well but he hopes she will carry his child but Kat isn't interested at all and when stumbles upon his secret files and his involvement with Exotech pharmaceuticals and Biomech and what is happening to the people that go to Utopia and the experiments that are going on and she is furious and makes contact with the rebels and the human chris who is the leader and then she starts taking to Zack and they become very close but she doesn’t know that he is wearing a disguise because he didn’t want to scare her off until he can explain why and who he really is. Trsak is a Kadrixan warrior who lives with humans at the stronghold and when he meet Kat online he was drawn to her and now he needs to get her out and away from the Councilor before its to late and she is taken to the underground bunker. When one of the guards grabs her arm hurting her a huge red devil swoops down and saves her at first she is scared but when they touch she has this strong desire to get to know him better but her body wants more. Trsak is furious when a human grabs and hurts his mate and so he comes down and takes him out hen flys off with his mate but she is frighten and so he calms her down with his pheromones and the way she is holding him now has his desires for her growing and he wishes he could fly back to the stronghold just to bond with longer but its not safe in the sky and he lands in the forests and undercover from the drones. When they are attacked and make to the cabin where his supplies are he must fight off the creature or it will keep coming for them but he is injured but he kills it and now Kat must get him safely inside and treat his wounds. Her desires ramp up when she sees him naked while treating him and the effect she has on him while he is unconscious but she puts these thoughts aside for now. There is so many twist and turns with danger coming at them from all sides but can they have future together or does it all fall apart.
Can they overcome all the obstacles that keep happening to them and get their HEA or not. Brilliant book.

Kat, the female human lead, became a spy once she discovered that the ruling council were corrupt and evil. Her main contact has been Zach but Trsak, the male alien lead, who comes to rescue her looks like an alien demon. Trsak has been using a human overlay during their exchanges but he’s always been intrigued by Kat and, once he meets her, he knows she’s his mate. But first he needs to get them both to safety and they need to rescue as many people from imprisonment and experimentation as possible…
This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a fun, sweet and steamy, alien/human romance. I’ve been really enjoying this series and, whilst the romance stands alone, this story is best enjoyed as part of the continuing story arc. This story reads like the conclusion of an arc, though the author could choose to do more - there’s so much more of this world to explore! I enjoyed Kat’s determination to make her evil boss pay. I empathised with her difficulty letting go of her need for vengeance. I enjoyed Trsak’s gentle devotion and his immediate care and concern for Kat’s welfare. I enjoyed their intimate interaction and their strategising to get them to safety. I enjoyed the secondary character integration and the cameos of characters in previous stories. I’m enjoying this world very much and hope there is more to come!

Kat has been working as an assistant to one of the colony's leaders. When she saw how he manipulated things for his own ends, she decided to become an undercover whistle blower. She gathered as much information that she could and snuck it out to her Zack. She was willing to go to jail to bring her boss down. However, her boss caught her in some files she wasn't supposed to be in and has been keeping her in his basement. He wants to use Kat as his mistress and get an heir from her. When things get too hot for her boss, he takes her and his wife to a bunker to hide until things cooled down. However before Kat could be forced into the bunker, a Kadrixan male named Trsak rescues her. She is shocked when he tells her that he was Zack, her rebel contact. She is not sure if she believes him but he is keeping her safe and protected.

Kat only wanted a better life in the colony and thought becoming a Councilman's assistant would be a step up. Turns out her Councilman was corrupt and became obsessed with her having his babies. She's been working to take him down and expose the atrocities ever since she discovered his evil deeds.
Trsak is a Kadrixan warrior. He's been Kat's resistance contact. When she's taken, he's determined to rescue her from the Councilman.
She didn't know Trsak was actually an alien, he had used a human disguise during their e-communications. So, when he tried to rescue her, she fought him. Trsak will never leave anyone on his team left behind again. He will convince Kat who he is, earn her trust, and do everything he can to coax her into accepting a mating. Doing all of this while getting her to safety, dodging vicious wildlife, and deadly drones.
I think each book gets better in this series. Trsak is all about his Kat, while Kat gets a little hung up in her head, I'm glad she got herself sorted out and I liked how they worked as a team.
This is quick read, that is fast paced.

Katherine/Kat is the personal assistant to both me of the colonies Councilors, she is appalled at his evilness and has worked with the human rebels by secretly sending them important intel. When Councilor Dubois takes her to a secure safe house/bunker she is shocked when a horned red skinned demon looking alien comes to her rescue. He claims to be her rebel partner Zach, but Kat knows Zach is human or so she thought.
Trsak/Zach is shocked to learn the little human is his mate and he is determined to get her safely back to the mountain stronghold and to claim her as his mate. Kat and Trsak have an eventful escape through the scary dark forest, with deadly creatures hunting them and Councilor Dubois’ drones and guards tracking them.
The chemistry between these two is sizzling, but they quickly develop a partnership and are able work together to accomplish their rescue and keep each other safe.
I enjoyed the development and deepening relationship between them and the opportunity to see how the other human women and their Kadrixian mates’ relationships have progressed.
This is an entertaining series and each book can be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed the development and deepening relationship between them and the opportunity to see how the other human women and their Kadrixian mates’ relationships have progressed.
This is an entertaining series and each book can be read as a standalone.

Decline.
I’m not sure how much is this books decline from the rest, and how much is my disappointment that it’s not getting better?
I keep noticing logical flaws this time around. A lot of visual errors.
The whole idea of the backwards knees doesn’t work. Not with women constantly sitting on laps, doubling up on cycles, ogling thick thighs, etc..
The author just hasn’t visualised it obviously, or thought it out to write…
Never mind moments like ‘accidentally’ facing the wrong way on a cycle… seriously.?
Plus she made the women, who is supposedly in a job that requires intelligence, and working as an undiscovered spy, yet she lacks any logic when we first meet her?
She has the survival instinct of a bimbo, and talks like a spoilt and pampered twit..
Then 2 useless female (to the mission), are brought along on a rescue mission ‘because she insisted’, wtf?
Really cringe, idiotic moments, with virtual Insta love, that seems to be mostly based on the physical, but declared as so much more..
Really disappointing.
I need a break from this. Not sure if I will return..

Adventurous Romance
Kat is the assistant to Councilor Dubios, a colony leader on Nova Vita. She was excited and proud of her job until she realized that he was corrupt and using his position for selfish reasons. Deciding to work with the rebels, she starts giving them important intel until the Councilor becomes suspicious and she is eventually caught, but not before she gets a warning out to her rebel contact.
Trsak is Kat’s rebel contact and a Kadrixan warrior. He immediately comes to the rescue and saves her just in the nick of time. But Kat thought her contact was human, so she doesn’t completely trust Trsak right off the bat. He knows that she’s his fated mate so he’s willing to do anything for her.
This was an adventurous read with elements of danger, suspense and action. The storyline and plot was about more than just the romance between the two main characters. It’s a developing story about this world with humans and other alien species.
Great world building and writing. Loved it as well as the previous books in the series. I highly recommend the series!

This was an adventurous read with elements of danger, suspense and action. The storyline and plot was about more than just the romance between the two main characters. It’s a developing story about this world with humans and other alien species.
Great world building and writing. Loved it as well as the previous books in the series. I highly recommend the series!

Kat has been helping the resistance sabotage and rescue as many people as they can from Utopia. She has a good relationship with a male named Zach in the resistance and she made sure too send the message that she'd been caught and was being held. She really thought her life was over until she was res her by big red sexy horned Trsak. Trsak has been posing as a human male in the resistance so that he can help Kat use the information she smuggles out of assistant job. When he gets the message she's in danger he doesn't think twice but goes after her. He would never leave anyone behind but its more than that her wellbeing is very important to him. Trsak finds her gets her away but then has a new set of problems trying to convince her that he is her contact Zach from the resistance . facing danger at every turn while your on the run for your life brings them closer together trust is forged in fire and so is passion. Katherine has spent the last few years working as an assistant to Councilor Dubois. When she discovers how crooked he is, she begins feeding information to the rebels. She doesn’t know that she is really communicating with Trsak, a Kadriaxan posing as a human in disguise. But when the Councilor decides that she will be the mother of his future children he locks her in his basement, she is furious. As you can imagine his wife isn’t too happy about that either! When things get too violent in Nova Vita, he moves them to his secret bunker. Trsak knows this is his only chance to rescue her. Once she is in the bunker he won’t be able to get her out. So, he grabs her and runs.
Follow them on their harrowing journey through the dark forests as they dodge drones, harbingers and wild animals. It’s a rough journey to safety, and even that turns out to be rocky for Trsak! An excellent addition to the series!.

Another sweet story, loads of action!

I really enjoyed this one. True, I seem to love them all, but I liked both MCs a great deal. I loved that the FMC saw that atrocities were happening, and rather than doing what most of the population had done, putting her head down, she shared out critical info on what was happening at great personal risk. I loved that the MMC was so loyal, had a Marine mentality of leaving no one behind, and despite realizing she was his mate, tried to give her time and not make her feel rushed or forced. They were adorable together ❤️
I am looking forward to seeing what happens next. I love how each story shows some criminal getting their just desserts, they deserve it!
The only thing I’d do to improve the story is a little more steam 😉

A Monster’s Fate book four is another great read in this Kadrixan Mates series!
MFC Kat is suspected of knowing more than she should about the nefarious goings on by the corrupt officials of Nova Vita mainly by her employer Councilor Dubois.
Secretly she has been funneling information to a rebel group and her fate is sealed when Dubois decides to keep her locked away. Unbeknownst to Kat her contact with the rebel group is not quite who or what she thought he was and when he comes to her rescue the doors open up to one heck of an action-adventure, intrigue powered, romantic and steamy read.
I love a good feisty female lead that takes no guff and a strong alpha male that is determined to have his mate and MMC Kadrixan Trsak fits that mold.
Excellent writing, world building and steamy romance keep the narrative pace speeding headlong into a wholly immersive read, and I enjoyed every word!.

She gets in contact with a rebel organization and passes information to them through Zach, her human contact (she thinks). As she is discovered passing the information by her dishonest boss and imprisoned, she sends out a final message to Zach. Trsak (Zach) is actually a Kadrixian warrior and he immediately comes to Kat’s rescue. But Kat doesn’t trust him because Zach is human! He has to prove himself and he also finds she is his mate. Can he quickly get her to allow him to rescue her? Can he convince her that they are mates and meant for each other?
I loved the characters we meet in this story. Bravery, courage, and honor stands out with both of them. They are perfect for each other! Grab your copy and see if Trsak can convince the strong-willed human that he is one of the “good guys”.

While this book can be read as a stand-alone, it is so much more enjoyable with the added back story, characters, and world building of the previous Kadrixan Mates books. Kat and Trsak of course come with their own baggage which effects how they react to situations. Trsak was forced to leave other behind in the past and his near refusal to do so again almost costs the whole mission.
Kat is still believing some of the propaganda about the big red guys but luckily sees with her heart realizing she already knows Trsak. There is a complicated back story but what a great book. Every time I think I've read the best book the next one supersedes it!
Highly recommend the series and especially this book. I can't wait to see where this goes next, especially after the touching naming of the human colony.

This is book 4 in a series and definitely needs to be read in order, to fully understand the plot arch and the character’s relationships. It’s set in a dystopian sci fi world where danger is everywhere and communities band together for protection. The world building is fantastic, especially the descriptions of alien technology and this really helps you get immersed in the story. Kat, the human heroine is trying to undermine the efforts of her evil boss and secretly get information to the rebels, who she thinks are all human. Trsak, who she knows as Zack, is actually a Kadrixan and the story starts with him rescuing her from her boss. There is lots of action and a fast paced plot, during which Kat and Trsak develop a relationship.

I absolutely love this series and the stories just get better and better. I highly recommend them. Kat was the assistant to Councilor Louie Dubois who was providing live human subjects for experimentation to Exotech Pharmaceuticals. Trsak is a Kadrixan who has been working with Kat to get evidence against her boss and to help the rebels fight Nova Vita to close down the Utopia Project and Exotech Pharmaceuticals. These two characters work really well together and bring their story alive and provide lots of entertainment, both in action, packed rescues and also lots of steamy hot moments between them. There is a happily ever after for these couple but the story is still not finished for the rest of the community.

Kat is doing all she can to undermine from within while still standing beside and being recognised as the assistant Louie Dubois. She knew she never had a chance growing up where she did and she was determined to save girls like her. She has been speaking to her contact Zach but things have escalated and she's not sure that she'll be able to get out in time. That is until she's rescued but it is not as simple as it sounds. Unknown to her Zach is actually Trsak and a Kadrixan warrior to boot who was the one who "saved" her. Trsak is also convinced, not that he is going to tell her, that she is his mate. He picked up her scent and tracked it for weeks. He's pretended to be human, what will happen when she finds out that he's not?

These Kadrixan warriors just keep getting better & better. To sum this book up in a nutshell, it goes like this…a pen pal relationship that meets a case of catfishing at the worst time lol. Kat and Trsak (who she knows as a human named Zach) have been communicating long distance about the corruption going on where she works in Utopia. Unfortunately things blow up when she’s found out, and Trsak is determined to get her out. Convincing Kat that he’s actually the one she’s been talking to will take all the perseverance and skills he can tap into though, but he knows she’s his & that she’s worth it. Loved seeing these two come together & fight for their HEA. Can’t wait for more in this series!

Kat has been helping the rebels and also knows that her boss wants her to produce his heir. Managing to send off a message she is stunned to discover when rescued that her contact Zach is actually Trsak, a Kadraxian. Escaping together triggers their mating bond but there is too much at stake and Kat wants to ensure that her boss gets what he deserves and those stuck in Project Utopia are saved. I loved this addition to the Kadraxian Mates series. With strong heroines and sexy alien heroes you will be up all night reading it.

Fighting For A Cause… And For Love
Kat has been leaking Utopia secrets to the separatists, but Councilman Dubois has effectively kidnapped her, so she isn’t sure that help is coming. But it does in the form of a big Kadrixian named Trsak, who Kat knows as Zach, her contact. On the run, the mating bond begins to form for these two, adding to the danger they are in. I loved how Kat wanted to fight for what was right, even in the face of huge odds, and how Trsak wanted to protect Kat in the face of those same odds. I also loved the found family and community that the stronghold and the settlement are developing. This series continues to provide great stories and I’ve enjoyed every one of them.

When Kat went to work for one of the colony leaders, she was excited and proud of her job, until she saw how corrupt Councilor Dubios is. She then remains there, but works undercover for the rebels and communicates to them through her contact, Zack. But Zack is actually Trsak a Kadrixan warrior. When Kat is found out, Trsak comes to her rescue and tells her he is Zack. Although she doesn't believe him at first, the warrior protects her and she sees him as the Zack she knew. As they work together, they become closer and he knows she is his fated mate. The book is well paced, action packed, full of sizzle, steam, twists, drama, and more. Great Read.
