fatal invasion
While at home a man and his wife are tortured and burned in their home. The children are missing and Sam has to figure out what happened and where are the children. She has a prime suspect, the man's ex business partner but she wants to be thorough. Sam is once again working with agent Hill.
Nick has a business trip planned for Europe and Sam wants to go but her second in command Gonzo is not at his best and Sam wants to know why. She and Gonzo work together every day but when he is late coming to a homicide Sam wants to know why.
Fatal Reckoning
After Sam's father dies in his sleep, Sam is burning with desire to solve the cold case of his shooting. She has tried for four years to solve this case with no leads to anyone. She goes to see his first partner's wife to see if she can shed light on the subject. Alice tells Sam about her dad's "man purse" and wonders what happened to it. Sam has a lead.
She questions the first responders to her father's shooting and find out that Deputy Chief Conklin was present at her father's shooting. He claims to never have been there. Sam has to deciphor all the things she's learning about the case and who is telling the truth about Conklin.
She receives a card in the mail that tells her to "look in her own house and in the city hall" for answers to Skip's murder.
Fatal Accusation
The president had an affair on his wife while she was undergoing cancer treatments. Nick and Sam have to ride out the scandal and hope that the president can survive the fallout. They don't want the office of president and first lady. Nelson's administrators want to quite him and find new jobs. Sam and Nick are just holding on.
Then, the president's mistress is killed. Now Sam has to find the killer as quickly as she can to save the Nelson administration. She is looking for threads to pull and to find the killer as soon as possible. She has a few leads and is working hard to end this lastest disaster.
Sam is always happiest when she's debriefing scumbags and taking notes. She hass a great time with these preps.

When a member of the upper class is found dead in her garage Sam is called in to find out what happened. When she starts investigating the facts she finds 580 possible preps. She is just starting to investigate them when Nick sends out a statement that he will not be seeking reelection.
The statement rocks the capital and Sam is in need of a Secret Service detail which makes her crazy. Nick will not take chances with her safety. Sam is having to run from one end of the capital to the other with Secret Service on her tail.
The leads are endless but thanks to Detective Green, Sam gets a break.

I wish I could give it 10*s!!!
This entire Fatal Series is fabulous! I am now a true fan of the incredible force known as the brilliant writer, Marie Force! Each installment is superb on its own, but as a collection, it's even more remarkable. As a reader, I fell in love with Sam, Nick, Scotty, Skip and Freddie. They are truly characters that will stay with me for a long time. Brava, Ms. Force. I am so eager to read more from you! I am truly hooked as a fan!
