The years have passed and Kennedy was now a successful private investigator in New Jersey, co-owner of the firm that primarily did insurance fraud or cheating spouse cases. She was financially secure and overall happy with her simple life. But that all changed when her old flame Connor Sullivan called her up, begging for her help to find someone. It wasn't just anyone though, it was someone close to him. Someone that had gone missing without a trace. It’s his daughter. Kennedy has a bad feeling about the case - but how could she ever say no to Connor?
He begs Kennedy to help him, and no matter how hard Kennedy tries to convince him to find another more experienced investigator, he doesn’t want anyone else. He wants her!
Kennedy travels to meet with Connor and she finds the old spark inside of her is still alive and well, yet danger is definitely in the air. As they talk through the missing girl’s case, Kennedy realizes she might be able to help Connor after all and decides to stay.
With each passing day, the stakes are getting higher. They are in a race against time to find the missing person before it is too late. But why is Connor’s daughter missing – was she abducted? Or did she run away? And if so, why?
And Kennedy cannot stop thinking about how much she wants Connor. She needs to get it together.
Can Kennedy solve the case and keep her heart intact? But can she keep her hands off the handsome long-time friend while she hunts for his daughter? Only time would tell in this heart-pounding, suspenseful thriller, “Missing, No Trace Left” – Book 1.
You will understand the meaning of friends to the end.

Kennedy was part of a group of kids that hung together back in Queens. The group broke up when one went missing and was never found. That’s how Kennedy and Connor ended up parted. There is a prequel I suggest you read first gives you lots of insight. A news story cst hd her attention. A fifteen year old girl has gone missing in Queens. Last name Sullivan she wonders if they are related to Connor. That is answered when he calls for her help in finding his daughter. The local police think she probably just ran away and will show back up. Connor does not believe that. She tries to convince him she is wrong for the job she does insurance fraud but he says she knows the area so he finally convenes her to at least come and check out what they have on the case right now. Connor doesn’t want Sage to end up a cold case like Elena did. Connor is sorry he didn’t keep in touch with Kennedy after her parents moved them away. He had feelings for her. Even now she still has feelings for him. As Kennedy research’s the case she finds that in last ten years 25 young women have wee reported missing. The number is probably higher since many aren’t reported. The two others who work in the law office are helping her research. The common factor is that they all had done drugs. After finding out all that information she decides to stay and help find Sage. Since Connie’s wife is dead he has been raising her in his own. This ends in a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see how it continues. I received a advance copy for a honest review
It is fifteen years since Kennedy Fitzgerald’s parents moved them to New Jersey. She still dreams about her last night in Queens and the kiss she shared with Connor Sullivan. Kennedy is now a successful private investigator in New Jersey. She is co-owner with her friend Tatyana and the primarily do insurance fraud or cheating spouse cases. Julia is their secretary and all around office gal.
Connor Sullivan calls and begs Kennedy to help him find his teenage daughter Sage who is missing. He’s afraid Sage will go missing for 18 years like Elena.
What do Kennedy and Connor find out about Sage’s last day before disappearing?
I am looking forward to watching the interaction between the main characters.
First book I’ve read by this author, I come across this book on a book funnel promo and I instantly thought I’d jump in because I love crime and by the sounds of the blurb it was going to have romance too. What I didn’t expect was us to be drip fed 70 pages of the story in each book. I knew each book was novella length, but I initially thought they’d be individual cases. My own fault for jumping head first, but had these books not been on KU I wouldn’t have been going forward being drip fed the story in segments. That being said, the story is… well if my 15 year old daughter was missing I wouldn’t be thinking about rekindling an old flame. It’s very unrealistic so far. I will go onto book 2, but if it continues much the same way then I won’t be going further.
Love all things Victoria Michaels, she never disappoints! This is a continuation of the prequel. Connor's daughter Sage goes missing. This is just like his friend Elena from 15 years ago. He asks Kennedy his an Elena's friend from 15 years ago to help him find his daughter. Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. Can't wait for book two!!
