Tristan I told Ivy I loved her, and she rejected me, again. She’s going to pay for that mistake. She won’t see the light of day until she begs my forgiveness.
My mirror image should be on my side, but instead, he’s betrayed me, told me to give her up and let her go home. I am their home!
He wants to paint me as a monster. They both do. But he’s no better, and I’ll prove it. They say I’m delusional, but I see the truth better than they do. They have no idea the levels I will go to prove they’re mine.
They don’t believe in our happily ever after, but my love is enough.
Render It’s taken twenty-one years, but my brother has finally lost his mind.
Book two picks up right where book one left off. The twins are at odds once again. Will they ever get back to where they were before Ivy broke their hearts the first time? Ivy turned down Tristan AGAIN and see where that got her? She’s in for a wild ride during this book.
I was on the edge of my seat the first half of the book. I screamed. I actually screamed. I pinned names and photos to my wall and there was string. I overreacted to everything in this book, I swear. My head was running all over the place. It was fun. I promise I’m the only person that probably reacted this way but it did me in. At one point I felt like I was in a scary movie.
My poor Tristan. Poor broken, Tristan. I wanted to crawl into this book and hold him. Hold him like the baby he is. Praise Jesus everything works out for him because I cried for him. I really did. I had no idea Render hurt himself as much as he did just to help his twin. That man deserves everything.
Ivy finally comes around and accepts them. She even fights for her men. The twins fight for her and each other. They get their happily ever after and it was beautiful. Loved this duet so much. Definitely recommend!
I don’t know where to even begin. I thought book one was a roller coaster oh was I wrong. You won’t be able to put it down it engulfs you. This book is significantly darker than book one so make sure you check trigger warnings and prioritize yourself. You get more of the twins backstory and why they are the way they are. You also get to see Ivy come into her own personality and grow. The character development in this book from book 1 is just perfect. This book left nothing to be desired except maybe more of the twins and Ivy. I hope to see more from Aurelia and Stephanie together in the future.
ARC Review: Tropes/Trigger Warnings: check ALL trigger warnings... dark contemporary/ bully university/ abduction/ stalking Coupling Type: MFM w twins Characters: MFC: Ivy MMC: Render, Tristan Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️ Favorite Quote/scene: "How do you know my full name, Ivy?" Her face burns bright red, and I think she won't answer me, but she slaps her hands against the mattress and screams, "You're not the only fucking ones with an obsession!" Over all thoughts on book and/or author: If you like your book boyfriends dark, twisted, depraved and touch psychotic, Render and Tristan are the ones for you, especially Tristan. I love that Ivy has a back bone even while the guys (especially Tristan) pushes her to her limits. Tristan's back story broke my heart and I just wanted to hug his psychotic @ss. I'm glad they all got the resolution they deserved. I'm not usually a fan of non con but this was written so well that I didn't hate the guys after.
I loved this! It was a perfect ending to the duet🖤🖤
This story is darker than the 1st book, as it reveals secrets and traumas of the past.
Tristan is unhinged and is losing it (rightfully so). I understand the reasons why he is the way he is. We see a harsher side to Render which I also love.
Ivy, Render and Tristan just fit so well, the chemistry between them is perfect!
If you enjoy dark romance, over the top possessive men then you will enjoy this!! I definitely recommend 🖤
I just blew through this book and I don’t know how to recover.
At the end of the first book, I didn’t know how I could love this throuple anymore . In this book, the authors really crack open the characters and spill out all the darkness inside for us to fall even more in love.
This was the perfect ending to this duet, even though I really wish there was more. I also loved that the end didn’t have them all clean cut and straightened up with a baby. They stayed true to the rough around the edges characters that hooked me from the beginning.
Tristan, Render and Ivy will always own a little piece of my heart ❤️

“When I’m inside you, Ivy, I don’t feel like a pitiful goddamn loser who can’t keep anyone safe or happy. When I’m holding you down and making you come on my cock, I feel worthy of my name.”
Shame on Me was just as depraved and delicious as the first book in the duet - this time ending with a HEA. I loved it, devouring it in one sitting. It starts even darker than Fool Me Twice, a book that was already the blackest of black romances, as the true depths of the twins’ damaged psyches come to light.
The relationships are still toxic, with the boys’ obsession with Ivy leading to devious acts. Only, in time, they discover Ivy is just as obsessed with them. And that they have awoken a woman who responds beautifully to their darkest desires.
Shame on Me is fast burn with intense, explicit MF and MFM scenes. There are non-con, degrading, and violent acts. Plus a very hot double-dickage scene and breeding talk.
I highly recommend this duet. It is perfect for readers who love dark romance with toxic relationships that end up in a HEA.

I really loved the first book of the duet and after the cliffhanger I couldn't wait to read the rest of this story.
So. . . I thought the first book was dark but this one was crazy 😬 It was hard to know about the twins past, especially Tristan's but it was a good way to get how they became so unhinge. I also loved to see the development of Ivy, Render and Tristan's relationship and how they all complemented each other. And don't get me started how hot these three were 🥵
I got so addicted to the story that I couldn't put either of the books down and I'm so happy to finally have a good read in 2024. It's still the beginning of the year but this was my favorite read so far this year so I couldn't be happier 😌
▬ 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬: dark romance, captor x captive, obsessed boy, polyamorous (MMF) ▬ 𝐭𝐰: sexual abuse, pedophilia, abuse, violence, death, rape (mention)
This book is 10 times wilder than book one. If book one triggered you don’t touch this one! A perfect ending to this duet! I absolutely loved this series.
Yeah again with this duet, I have finally allowed myself to recognize my love for these books. 5 stars all the ways and they deserve those places even if they are no longer available to others.
Double Dickage is the way to go. That is all I can say.
1st Read: 4 Stars
Alrightyyyy so this just had punch after punch of action and smut. I was loving it. Double dickage indeed. This book is so deliciously dark and smutty, I was living for it. Also to have the twins backgrounds fleshed out was intense. I can't so much more other than I loved this duet a lot and was so happy it was a truly dark romance. Just what I needed.
Cant say I recommend this to just anyone but I will say if you are looking for a really dark short book series, this might be for you.
"They're predators designed to attract me, but as their carefully crafted masks slip, I realize they were once prey"
Holy mother of god I was not ready for that rollercoaster. The sequel was so much darker, heart-breaking and spicy than Fool me twice and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
We pick up where book 1 left off with Ivy stuck in the boot of Tristian's car being driven to an unknown location. I wasn't sure where we were going to go after the cliff-hanger of book 1 but I was fairly set in my opinions of Ivy, Render and Tristian. Render was my clear favourite as declared in my previous review but I have to say Tristian now has him beat. Good thing Stef and Aurelia don't make us pick although I do support the one (sort-of) choice between the twins that Ivy had to make. IYKYK.
I won't spoil the plot, you need to read it yourself. However, this book is a deep dive into the emotional and mental damage caused by parental abuse. I physically shook with rage reading about the twins' upbringing. Their parents are awful human beings and I was so happy to see Ivy stand up for them, they really needed someone on their team aside from each other, it has been that way for far too long.
My poor sweet baby Tristian, I was on the fence about him slightly in book 1 as I didn't connect properly with the reasoning behind his actions but it all makes sense now. Never have I wanted to crawl in to a book and give a character a cup of tea and a cuddle more. I had tears in my eyes reading him recall his history and try to struggle with coping with his trauma. Ivy was such a strong and mature character to recognise his feelings and put him first when necessary. I do still love my Ren and enjoyed learning about his quiet strength and guilt.
The ending, for me, could not have been any more perfect. Although I don't think that any of the dancers were off beat in the epilogue, just moving to their own rhythm ;).
The spice, oh my the spice. Aurelia and Stef write great saucy scenes individually but when they come together they cause floods. The double d-age references not only made me chuckle but made it difficult to read if you catch my drift.
Speaking of chuckling, the banter particularly between the twice was hilarious. You can tell that these authors have a great relationship as it shines through on the pages.
Overall - gutted that the series is over and am praying that these two team up again.
Shame on Me is book two in the Double Dark duet and it picks up right where book one ended. I think it is important to note that his book is much darker than the first. Take care when reading this.
"...I am losing touch with reality somewhere in the mix. But I need this....Maybe I am too broken to exist without hurting someone."
We pick up in the car with Tristan and Render with Ivy in the trunk. At this point, it certainly seems like Tristan is having some sort of mental break. As we start to learn more about the twins' past, Tristan has to ask himself if he is starting to become his abuser. The three have some pretty difficult conversations about their childhood and Ivy starts to see some things that the boys haven't even realized. How can she tell them what she suspects?
"Red Flags and toxicity form the basis of our relationship if that's what you call it, but the depth of my feeling goes far beyond love."
We finally get to meet Mr. and Mrs Cleavemore and they are just as disgusting as you can imagine. There is a breakfast that is incredibly awkward and we get to see Ivy really come into her own. All hell breaks loose and even more secrets come to light. Even after learning the horrors the twins went through, can Ivy ever truly forgive them? Will Tristan make the ultimate sacrifice to keep Render and Ivy safe?
I really didn't know what to expect going into this book. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. Shame on Me really dives into Tristan and Render's childhood and the horrors that they experienced. While Tristan certainly dealt with more direct trauma, we see the effects that his abuse had on Render. There are parts of this book that I found hard to read, but I also felt like it was important to recognize what happened. While yes, there are some really dark scenes in the book, there are also some very heartfelt scenes, some very spicy scenes, and of course some great banter!!! The character development across the board is off the charts!
🖤Tropes 🥀Dark Romance 🥀Why Choose 🥀Feisty FMC 🥀Multi POV 🥀Touch her and 💀 🥀Twins who Share 🥀Twin Banter
This conclusion is just as gripping as part 1. To begin with, we get more background on what happened years ago and then the story picks back up where book 1 finished. Tristan is so broken that he seems beyond help. Secrets are revealed and your heart just breaks for the twins, especially what Tristan had to endure. The writing is so good, it keeps you riveted to every page, absorbing every word and taking in every detail. Render being the more level-headed of the two, really tries to get Ivy to understand and explain things after everything that happened and all that they did. We also start to learn more about the twins and Tristan's behaviour really starts to make sense. He is terrified of losing the people he loves, and because of what happened, he doesn't really know what proper love looks like. Once things have calmed down somewhat and they've talked, Ivy realises how certain things have been misunderstood and they all work at being more understanding. Ivy was an incredibly strong character and I loved the way she never really backed down. She stood her ground with the Twins and knew what was needed to appease them. Tristan and Render seemed polar opposites times and I really enjoyed their characters. They were fascinating in their mannerisms and you could tell that they were two halves of the same soul. I think we saw a lot more of Tristan's vulnerability than we did Render and I liked the fact that both Ivy and Render seemed to make a conscious effort to ensure Tristan felt loved just as much as they loved each other. I think one of my favourite moments was when Ivy held her own against their mother, that scenes was well done. I also can't finish my review without mentioning how sizzling all their spicy scenes were! There weren't many times when it wasn't all 3 of them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes a why-choose, enemies-to-lovers story. The writing was well done and it kept me hooked until I finished! I didn't want it to end!!

Tropes / What to Expect 🖤 Twin Why Choose 🖤 Bully Romance 🖤 Obsessive 🖤 Dub-Con/ Non-Con 🖤 Stalker 🖤 Enemies to Lovers
This is the second and final book in the duet and I am GUTTED that the story is over.
These twins and their story is going to stay with me for a long long time. This book will send you through a rollercoaster🎢 of emotions. You think you will be good then BAM, you’re being tossed through another emotion. And that ENDING 🤯😳that ending was perfect for those monsters!!
I honestly loved both twins in the first book but Tristan’s damaged soul called to my damaged soul and this book I cried for him even more. The things he went through were absolutely heart breaking. I thought he was unhinged in the first book but I was proved mighty wrong in this one. He’s even more unhinged than I thought 😈
Render really shined through this book too. We dive deeper into him and really see what he went through and the pain he felt with certain things.
Ivy, I’ve got some words for you lol how dare you deny these twins TWICE!!!! Twice, I’m so glad she finally came to her senses and loved these men like they love her.
They all truly deserved the happily ever after they got. I’m so heartbroken it’s over, I want more of them 😩
I felt this went deeper then the first book, we had more intense moments, shocking revelations, there is heartbreak and much trauma too. Make sure you read the trigger warnings first! And you must read book 1 first!! ‼️This can’t be read as a stand-alone ‼️
Just when I thought things couldn’t get more crazy after the first book…Render and Tristan became more obsessed and possessive over Ivy and even more crazy (at the start in particular) 😬🤭
Both twins went through a lot in this book, specially Tristan. His backstory is heavy, horrific and sad and I really felt for him. I also felt for Render and his struggles of trying to keep everything together. He became the glue I felt that held him, Tristan and Ivy together. 🥹
This book is more of a dark romance and less of a bully romance (that’s more at the start). There was plenty of spice and smut and it was hot and sexy 🌶🫠. Ivy came into her own and embraced the desires she had been fantasising about. *whispers* there’s double penetration 🫠🤭 - or as the twins would call it “double dickage” 💀
Overall tho I liked this duet very much and I’ll give book 2 another 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
If I had any complaints? I felt the ending was a tad rushed imo. I also wished when it came to the epilogues, that we’d get a pov for our three characters. As we had two, one for Tristan and one for Ivy and I wished there had been one for Render…But maybe that’s being picky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I was still satisfied by the end ☺️
Did I like this book? Sorta, but i also wouldn't read it again.
This book is the second book in the series, it picks up from where the first left off. You see how the three develop in their relationship while battling their own demons. We get introduced to their crazy parents and why the twins hate them so much.. This book is far more dark then the first book. At times I was skipping forward because some of the events in the book were so cringy and far fetched. Did the details or even the events needed to be added? Absolutely not.. I felt it was only added to make the book more dark. The authors tried to tie it to their past, but the past was hardly elaborated on, we only got what MIGHT have happened.
Next was the amount of smut in the book. I felt like this book was 95% smut and 5% plot. When I wasn't reading the double tagging I was super confused on what was going on and turning back the pages to see if i missed anything. That being said, the smut was very well written compared to most books i read. So if you are wanting a book for the main reason of smut, this book is for you.. 🤣
The reason rated this book 3.5 is because it did what id want in the second book. It answered the questions on why the twins are the way they are, I just wish we would have gotten more on their background and less on them screwing Ivy. Ill admit I did really enjoy the two epilogues as they were cute and wrapped up the story lines.
Since i rated both books 3.5, ill give the overall series 4 stars.
I completely threw myself into this book and it was over far to quickly. I am not usually one to read harem books (reverse or regular) but this one just completely took over my mind.
Shame on Me brings us right where Fool Me Twice left off. This book is a touch darker than the first one but just as good.
We learn more about the past of both Render and Tristan. Tristan comes to a point where he begins to question his actions and why he is the way he is. Tristan, Render and Ivy have some difficult conversations about their pasts and through all of that, their bond deepens. Ivy comes to a few of the realizations before the boys do, and she has to find a safe way to broach the subject without sending either Tristan or Render all the deep end
We finally meet Daddy and Mommy Cleavemore and they are just as appalling as you can imagine. All hell breaks loose, Ivy really comes into her own and more dark secrets come to light. Can the three of them find a way through all the darkness and find love on the other side.
Even though Tristan was the target for most of the trauma, we get to see how all of that effected Render. There are some really dark moments in this book, but as you keep reading and uncovering key information, you can begin to understand why it happened.
Stephanie and Aurelia did a wonderful job with the themes in this book. Very well written.
Shame On Me is the conclusion to this dark duet and picks up right where book 1 left us with. To me book 1 was much darker and crazier, but still pretty out there and would definitely check trigger warnings.
"I don't even know their father, but I hate him. He's standing between me and what I've learned is my favorite thing... Double Dickage."
Tristan and Render, in this book it tells you more about their backstory and how they were raised, it explains more about Tristan actions and why he is so easily triggered by little things. I can't say I like how Tristans character developed, I mean it was in a good way and was less psycho, but the way the author went about I think could have been a little better.. I still loved him though. Render, I feel like his character pretty much stayed the same. He did show a lot more affection and love in this book, and seemed more like himself and how his character was always meant to be.. It seem genuine and natural. I am so glad that Ivy got more of a backbone in this book! I love how she grew in her confidence when she finally admitted to herself that she loved both the brothers equally. They still did some extremely messed up things to her, but it felt more consensual in this half.
These two authors did a great job together in writing this duet! I am looking forward to reading more them!
I received this book as an arc for an honest review.
Shame On Me (ARC) by @authorstefhurst and @aureliaknightauthor (sequel to Fool Me Twice)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 🌑🌑🌑🌑🌓/5 TW: It’s a long list, and bigger than book 1, so please check it before reading. 📖: Dark Romance (Tropes: dark, bully, new adult, college, & enemies to lovers) First I want to thank the authors for 1) delivering the sequel so quickly so I didn’t have to go long without my twins 2) Allowing me the privilege to ARC read !
Book Two of this dark duet picks up right where we left off in book one. While this book is darker than it’s counterpart it deep dives into our twins more to give you insight into their world, especially our misunderstood Tristan. I absolutely loved this book and enjoyed the more murderous elements throughout!
➕
⚫️ FMC fully develops in this book and becomes more brazen. Ivy knows what she wants and fights for them!
⚫️ The Twin MMCs gain more backstory that makes you fully excuse their “inexcusable” behavior 😏
⚫️ There is some wonderfully dïrtÿ scenes and even more “döublë d!ckägë”, what’s not to love?!
➖
⚫️ There isn’t a 3rd book… lol
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I can't even describe how I felt reading this book and for a few days after. It was such an emotional roller coaster!!! It picks up right where book one left off, so that was nice not to have to try to figure out what happened or wait for a flashback. I also loved that the authors gave a lot of the background story in book two. It was so intense...everything about book two was SO INTENSE! I couldn't stop reading...
I was sad for young Ivy for getting bullied the way she did with no one to turn to, I was really enjoying the spicy torture, I was excited for all the action, intrigued by the psychology aspect, devastated for the boys Tris and Ren were, proud of who all three of them became, and happy for the way things turned out in the end...yet I'm so sad it's over.
I love how dark this book is as well, it is far darker than book one. Trauma isn't pretty and lighthearted, nor is it magically cured overnight so I love that it stayed dark to the end. Check the TWs because there are a lot of them! This duet should be really high on your TBR!
Shame on Me is the final book in the Dark Double Duet series by Aurelia Knight and Stephanie Hurst. We first met Ivy, Tristan, and Render in Fool Me Twice. This is an extremely dark and sordid book series, so please make sure to check the trigger warnings! The talk around town is that this one is way darker than the first, but in my opinion, the first book was darker than this one.
This book picks up right where we left off with Ivy in the trunk and the twins taking her to their quiet cabin in the woods. There anger with Ivy is fierce, and they become even more obsessed with making her pay for her "transgresses". The first half of the book is crazy in one way, and then becomes completely crazy for a totally different reason in the second half. I can't say more than that because I don't want to spoil anything, but just be warned that this book is a roller coaster of emotions. Be prepared to not be able to put this down once you start. This is a great read if you like it dark and spicy and off the chain!
This second book completes this deliciously diabolical duet. These Cleavemore twins are going to mentally drain you even more than in book 1. Tristan completely loses it in Book 2 but he has many reasons but until he can control his mind he’s going to put everyone on edge. Render is trying to get Ivy to forgive them because they made stupid decisions and now they have to make her see the reasons behind all the madness.
Ivy is terrified, angry, frustrated but also turned on because deep down it has always been the Twins but she has to be able to survive their truths and secrets in order for them to find any kind of HEA.
You will devour this book and this duet is beyond dark and deadly. However, it is also so sexy and dangerous. I love these twins and Ivy is a woman who is willing to take what she needs but also give them what they need! It’s a hot and oh so steamy story but please check trigger warnings because these twins are more psychotic than not & Ivy is their everything! Happy Reading!!
When you think that Tristan and Render are unhinged in book one and they practically scream “hold my beer”whilst proving that our first introduction to them was tame in comparison to who they are.
Double dickage? Anyone?
This was an emotional rollercoaster with a number of plot twists, some of which I wasn’t expecting and it had me devouring it page by page. I was hanging off every sentence because I just couldn’t believe how cruel their upbringing was because like Ivy I’d assumed it had been perfect. But you don’t get to the level of unhinged without some dark secrets hiding in your past.
I even got teary eyed and my perspectives on the boys changed completely. Tristan was so misunderstood and messed up that by the end you can’t help but adore him more, and Render? The tension, the conflict and spice were all perfectly balanced. The second part of the duet touches on some heavy and serious subjects and I found that the authors offered the right amount of comedic relief to not only balance the tragic childhood of the boys but to also give an ode to their unapologetic and ruthlessness.
Over all it was a perfect end to the duet. Stephanie and Aurelia are amazing writers and combined they’re a force to be reckoned with.
The first book in this duet was dark and crazy, but the second book is even wilder.
Shame on Me picks up where Fool Me Twice left off with a minor case of kidnapping. All three of them are fighting how they feel and once they finally accept it, they are stronger than ever. Things always tend to get more complicated before they resolve themselves.
In this book, you learn some of the tragedy behind their backstory and why they are the way they are, which only endears them a bit. Ivy is a strong FMC and she will do anything for her men, so learning all of that just angers her to the point she wants to seek revenge for them, but mostly make sure they are ok. I love the dynamic between the three of them and I think unhinged Tristan is my favorite.
If you are looking for a dark college romance with some twists and turns, two twin psychos, and a headstrong FMC, this may be for you. Check the TW as always.
The twins are back! I'm so freaking glad that I didnt have to wait too long for book two because the cliffhanger on Fool Me Twice left me gasping.
Since book one I have a stronger pull with Tristan and during Shame On Me it reinforced my feelings. Where both twins phsychos? Yes! Did they do extreme moraly grey things? Absolutely! Did I still want to be part of the part of the twin sandwich? ....... well I think you know where I'm going with this lol.
Anyways, for a minute I honestly thought Tristan was going to go off the rails and in a way he kind of did but the connection between Render and Ivy brought him back. Shame On Me gave us a better back story on both Tristan and Render and why they behave and did the things they did. Trauma is trauma and they had lots of it. The ending was everything!
Make sure you check TWs becuase the list is still as long a my grocery list but oh man the bigger the TWs the more I like them. Happy readings!!
