Luna Marked #1-3

Luna Marked: The Complete Series

Rate this book
Fighting fate isn’t for the weak.

Cait
I am many things, but a supernatural being is not one of them. At least not until a crescent mark appears on my wrist and everything changes. I’ve been marked by a wolf goddess, yet no one knows what that means, myself included.

On top of that, I find out my best friend is a wolf shifter and her pack alpha is my supposed mate. Just like that my future is decided—unless I find a way out.

Roman
When fate sends a human mate my way, I’m certain it has to be a mistake. An alpha is supposed to have an equal at his side. Cait might be strong in her own ways, but what she is makes her an easy target in my world.

Regardless, Cait is mine to protect and I have every intention of showing her this is where she belongs—in my pack, by my side. Even if she seems intent on rejecting me.

This complete wolf shifter series includes three stories plus bonus content. Each story is told in dual POV from our two main characters and totals over 900 pages!

Luna Marked features a strong willed, not-so-human leading lady and a fierce yet loyal alpha who is determined to win her heart—no matter how many times she might reject him. If you love slow burn Paranormal Romance books, then be ready to devour this series! This is the second series in the Mystics and Mayhem world, but they can be read in any order.

Initially I enjoyed this. I could overlook the nonsense of shifting but keeping clothes. I don’t understand why the author did that but whatever.

By the third book I was kind of bored of the 2 MC going on about the bond and the link. It became tedious and repetitive.

It just felt like the story ran out steam and stuttered to an end.

Wolves with a mission - and a stronger involvement of Luna. Strong friendship themes, a little humour and a good couple of plots

My first books(this is an trilogy) by this author and I am so glad I gave it a shot! It is the second trilogy in this universe, but they can be read in any order.
It has great word building, and a sassy FMC and an MC that you dislike and then totally love at the end. Love the side characters in the books also. Lot's of twist and turns in these book and you will devour them in no time at all! Highly recommend! A great read for all of you UF, PNR lovers out there!
Now starting with the first trilogy and trying to read them in order here on after. Yes I did buy them all after this trilogy! They are so good!

Meh. Too much exposition. I could hardly tell the difference between each of the main characters when the POV shifted. Also, why would you tease some kind of all-powerful shifter that could be anything she wanted and then just make her a purple glowing wolf? And a three-times overused resurrection storyline.

This has been a compelling series and these are my reviews of each of the instalments. Wolf Kissed is great I simply loved the dual narration in this story, you get to hear both sides of the story so well. Roman is so strong, there is something about him and his wolf, and how he allows Cait to take her time, being wolf kissed is a huge change to her, and she needs the time to see how different her life can become, she is so alone, that yes she will finally get the family she craves, but feels that it’s at the loss of her independence, and that’s so important to someone like Cait, I know where she is coming from as I was the same, not with the wolf thing, but the fear of losing your independence, and it’s scary. The pace of this story is just sublime. Wolf Kissed is a great second chapter to the series, this is such a hard story to pick as Cait goes through so much in this story, she is so powerful, but so held back, and there is something so special about how she gets through being taken. But sometimes we have to feel like we have lost everything to find what we truly need. There are some amazing characters in this series, and I loved the way that the story picks up right after the 1st ended. It also gives me great hopes for number three, as this whole thing just goes from strength to strength, the more you get to know everyone the more you care about them. Wolf Mated is a twisty five-star read. There was just something special about this third instalment of the Luna Marked series, this one packed a massive punch a couple of times, and had you really upset with a certain goddess, but then boom, you are suddenly like aahh fair enough. There are moments that will pain you, but then you also get moments that will warm you so quickly. I also loved how the random character from earlier is picked back up and wrapped up, this has been a great series and just blown me away. I am so excited to read more from this author and hopefully see some of these picked up in other stories, as I just don’t feel like we have seen them enough.

3.5/5

Im rating this series as a whole since I read it as an omnibus so there will be spoilers for the entire series. Will try to keep them to a minimum

Cait and Roman are so great together for so many different reasons. I love how both Roman and the pack allowed Cait the choice. They gave her time to figure out what she wanted and to get used to the world she was thrown into. I love Cait's history and how she ended up at the pack. It was something to look forward once I started getting into the story. Book 1 was everything I wanted it to be. Engaging, great pacing, and amazing characters. Emberly is my favorite! As the story went on from book 1, I started liking it less and less. There were some repetitive things that happened in regards to Cait's powers which felt unnecessary. Doing once? Ok, thats awesome and cool. More than that? It made the stakes so much lower. Book 3 was my least favorite. By the time I got to the end of it, I was so glad itnwas over. As amazing as the characters are, if you have low stakes in this life and death story, it leaves the excitement out of it. Still, overall, I really loved these books! Plus I love the 7 years later epilogue and bonus chapters.

Fantastic read. Different from most wolf shifter books

Fantastic read. Different from most wolf shifter books that seem to all be similar of late.
This one includes a touch of the mystical. The Moon Goddess Luna, who created the wolf shifters and other magical beings, is part of the storyline. Other than creating them, she seems to like interfering/helping her creations when she feels the need.
Don't pass this book up if you are interested in really good stories about shifters, mates, pack life, inter-species fighting, cooperation, and a good share of snark!

Overall a good series..

Luna Marked THE COMPLETE SERIES WITH BONUS CHAPTERS by HEATHER RENEE: 4.5 stars
Cait/Roman - somehow human Cait becomes Moon Kissed and Wolf Alpha Roman’s fated mate. Her energy is strong, but her capabilities unknown.
Lots happening in this series, with crazy twists & challenges, and an overall good pace (although the pace did lag at times). Also, I love paranormal, but it does need to be somewhat believable.. Overall, loved the characters, and the core reason for all the angst and killings was ultimately for a common good.

All three books were good.

It had just the right amountt of romance & cursing. Most of the books I were about the charectors & the plot & clean enough that I could play the audible version in front of my kids. When there was a dirty or vulgar scene I got enough notice that I could turn the audible version off & just read it to myself.

Eh. If I had not bought the series I would not have finished listening to it. The dynamic between the two just wasn’t there for me. It felt a bit immature and unrealistic and I definitely rolled my eyes a few times. It’s not a book that you’ll get lost in. If you need a something to listen to while doing other things then this would work.

I did enjoy this better than Dark Fae Cursed and completed the series. Cait and Roman are much more likeable than Lucinda!!
I liked the werewolves and fated mates aspect, but the magic element thrown in was what I liked best about the story and the fact that Cait grew up as human with human instincts and questioned all she was told.

I really liked the duet narration, the story was good, a bit repetitive in places. When Roman was only looking out for Cait and kept saying she is my mate, wasn't sure whether it was just because he didn't know her or what.. but got my eyes rolling!
it felt like the books were a bit short, but otherwise than that it was fun and a nice HEA. I would recommend. 😊

Fun series!

I really enjoy this author and her irreverent humor. This series is fun, with bits of heartbreak and a few surprises. The bonus chapters she tacks on to close up some storylines are great, too. Recommend and looking forward to the next series.

Captivating and Amazing

The story keeps you reading, moving slow enough to feel natural, but quick enough that you don't get bored. I read all three books in three days, and would highly recommend!

I’m tickled by this take on supernatural folk

I loved this series and can’t wait for Heather Renee to flesh out Embry and Sam’s stories. This has all the elements of a long lasting series of more books.

This book was very interesting & with a different take. I liked all the action & it moved rapidly without getting too involved in the sex (just a sufficient amount) and not gratuitous.

This could have been much faster
Didn't understand why having clothes on after shifting needed to be reiterated constantly, either.

Loved this trilogy.
This is action-packed, slow burn, and a very strong fmc named Cait. She is a sassy one lol. Roman is, protective, and the best Alpha! I gobbled these books up.
