Knells plan’s have begun to come together. His crew grows larger and more powerful with every passing day, and rumors of Captain Sorfina’s death have already started to spread – but not all attention is beneficial.
A group who have lurked in the shadows for centuries are moving once more, and their leader’s motives are just as shrouded as their past.
More pieces enter the board of looming war, and Knell’s crew finds itself at the center of everything, whether they want to be or not.
Knell is determined to stay one step ahead of his opponents, but he’s never faced anything like this. He’s been preparing to deal with the Fragments since he was a child, but some of the eyes watching him don’t belong to gods.
Actus has been writing fantasy stories since the age of twelve, and he's been telling them since he could talk. He's currently working on three main series - Morcster Chef, Steamforged Sorcery, and My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror. You can find his works on RoyalRoad & Patreon as well as on Amazon.
In addition to his passion for writing, Actus is capable of clearing a two story building with a single jump. That isn't true, but writing about himself in third person gives Actus delusions of grandeur.
I know pirates is apparently not a popular theme for a litrpg but this book is great. It does a great job of progressing the story quickly without ignoring chunks of plot line or interactions. No long monologues or speeches. No chapter after chapter of pointless world building. Everything has a purpose and even the random conversations that are had by some of the crew serve to make you laugh. I hope this book gets more attention so the author will come back to write more on the series but at the very least, this book serves as both a bookmark for the overall plot, and a solid ending point for the original short term goal (unlike some books that just stop midway through and you’re left wondering what happens)
Very good sequel to the first book. The characters haven't lost their spark. The reading is entertaining, and the characters act just as they should based on the first book. This one is entertaining, and fun to read. If you read the first one, and liked it, you'll likely enjoy this one too. If you haven't read the first one yet, then by all means, if you're a LitRPG fan, then add this one to your TBR pile.
This was so good; this series has kept me up til late night/early morning reading it. I love the characters and the well fleshed out story. The mix of intrigue, fighting, and bits of comedy go so well together. Im definitely waiting on book 3.
