Honestly not much happened. I guess I will need to read volume 2 to give a more in depth review.

Issues #1-4. Cobra Commander is killed and the Cobra board of directors creates a contest to determine who will be the next commander. Kill the most Joe’s and you’re it. Each issue highlights one or two of the main contestants as they scheme their way to victory. Each has their own unique style and way to achieve their goals. Fascinating story.

Huh..what?

Lots of blah, blah, talking of villains yet nothing interesting happens a waste of purchase an the story isn't even close to being complete?

Pubic library copy. The artwork didn't appear to be at a professional level and after reading this it just goes to show how I always prefer G.I. Joe stories written by Larry Hama. I'll never understand how typos wind up in collections of books after the serialization had a test run. I found a lot the wordless/silent story telling to be rather confusing and I don't understand why Steeler and Breaker were drawn the way they were. Does Hasbro or the publisher not provide the cartoonist with character model sheets?

It's a good story, though a bit rough (especially as it's only the first half). It is fun watching the two double-agents play off of each other, and Dell'Edera's art is still amazing. I'm eager to see where the next volume goes.

Good read

The only dislike I had was that it was too short. Other than that, I enjoyed reading it and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.
