Elisabeth Naughton's, sexy Eternal Guardians series, in which herculean warriors, protectors of the Greek gods living in the realm known as Argolea, continues in Enraptured, the 3rd enthralling installment.
Skyla is a Siren warrior from Athena’s army, who has been sent to kill Orpheus. The reason for his execution given to her of him being a dangerous deamon does not fit the Orpheus she meets. She begins to realize that she has been set up and that there is more to her mission than what she knows.
I liked Orpheus and Skyla together.
Honor, family, action, sadness, love, lies, heart-stopping adventure, passion, and enticing twists – this fast-paced story has it all.
The ending is emotional and hear-breaking – a broken Gryphon! Will he survive the evilness and cruelty he experienced as a captive of Atalanta?
We will find out in his story, which is the next book in the series.
Orpheus is on a mission to rescue his brother, Gryphon, whose soul had been stolen by an evil daemon when a magic spell went wrong. Nothing will stop him and no one will stand in his way until he gets his brother back. Even the Siren, who has suddenly appeared in his life, who seems to have a hidden agenda of her own.

The chemistry, sizzling attraction, was incredible….and the more they are together, the more the feeling of knowing each other before intensifies. I loved their interaction and banter…
“For the record, Siren, I like being saddled. Reverse cowgirl is my favorite. When you’re ready to ride, you just let me know.”I loved seeing familiar characters again and having a glimpse of what is happening in their lives since the last book.

Esta serie cada vez me gusta más.
Sabía que Orpheus me iba a gustar pero no a que nivel, la verdad es que me sorprendió mucho, es un gran personaje. Amo cuando tienen un aire de oscuridad y chico malo y eso lo tiene él pero aunque él no lo crea también es bondadoso.
Skylar al principio dudaba de ella pero después me ganó, esta chica es valiente y aguerrida, lucha por lo que quiere y también se sacrifica por amor, es una de mis favoritas.
Tiene mucha acción, romance y eso es algo que disfruto mucho.
Seguiré con el siguiente libro porque aaay mi Gryph.

Enraptured is a dark, sexy and gripping read that will leave you addicted to these Eternal Guardians if you weren’t already!
Orpheus is now one of the Eternal Guardians, at least according to the marks on his arms he is. But he wants nothing to do with the elite group, all he wants it to find his brother and rescue him from Hades and he will stop at nothing to see his goal fulfilled. When a Siren named Skyla gets in Orpheus’ way though the game drastically changes. Sent by Zeus to steal an artifact from Orpheus and stop him from completing his task, Skyla comes to the startling revelation that she has met Orpheus in the past. The Gods have not been entirely honest with her and Skyla must decide if she wants to see the past repeated. Can Orpheus hold his dark side at bay though to complete his task and fight off his instant feelings of connection to Skyla or will succumbing to it be the only way to set his brother, and himself, free?
ZOMG, I knew Orpheus was going to be good but I didn't know he was going to be this damn good! Enraptured is hands-down, the best of the Eternal Guardians series to-date. I LOVED IT and I am so glad too because you know when you set your heart on a character from the very beginning and you hope to God that when they finally get their HEA that you don’t end up disappointed? That's how I felt with Orpheus but Elisabeth Naughton brilliantly captured his story and Enraptured totally rocked my socks off!
Complex, in-depth and magically woven together, Enraptured kept me glued to the pages start to finish. The Eternal Guardians are the direct decedents of the original Argonauts and heroes. Orpheus doesn’t see himself as any sort of hero however and his story is both touching and heart-wrenching as we journey through the revelations of his past and the acceptance of both his light and dark side. Orpheus is truly one of my favorite book heroes and long ago earned a top spot in my book-boyfriend harem! Skyla was a strong, kick-ass heroine that matched Orpheus perfectly. Their attraction was instant and *fans self* really sex-ay due to a connected past but not easy; full of twists, turns and surprises I loved how Ms. Naughton revealed each piece of the puzzle and the ending was *sigh* put together superbly. The plot moved at a steady and captivating pace, I was most definitely Enraptured by it!
Enraptured can be read as a stand-alone but is so much better read in series order. The Eternal Guardians series is a must read for romance, paranormal and mythology fans. I love when authors add a mythological twist in their stories and this entire series is based on a fun one. Ms. Naughton gives the Argonauts her own little spin and ended up creating a series that no one should miss!

The son of an Argonaut father and a Medean mother with a Daemon alter-ego to boot, Orpheus has always been the black sheep of the family. This all changes when his brother, Gryphon’s, soul is sent to Tartarus and Orpheus swears to rescue his sibling from the underworld with the aid of the Orb of Kronos. Unfortunately, other forces are determined to locate the Orb for themselves and Orpheus will have to deal with powerful Gods, vengeful enemies and a beautiful Siren with a mysterious link to his past.
Once again, Naughton’s research is fantastic and the incorporation of elements from Greek mythology adds a gripping layer to the overall story arc. Sadly, Orpheus and Skyla’s romance is rather dull and disappointing.
Orpheus has been a fascinatingly ambiguous character throughout the series. His scheming machinations combined with an obvious affection for his brother and hints at an underlying current of goodness have made him particularly appealing as a hero. While he mostly lives up to this characterization and the insights into his personality are compelling, Orpheus internal struggle with his daemon lacks detail and is resolved too easily.
Skyla, the Siren assassin sent to kill Orpheus and retrieve the Orb, is simply uninteresting as a heroine. She fails to really stand out in any way and it is even difficult to picture exactly what she looks like despite the necessary descriptions. While she and Orpheus have tremendous potential as a couple, their chemistry falls flat and the resolution to their relationship, which is supposed to be intense and emotional, fails to completely resonate.
In contrast, Maelea with her conflicting forces of light and dark is a far more intriguing character and I’m looking forward to seeing how these are related to Gryphon’s tortured soul in the next book.

I belive this was the best book so far. A lot of adventures and things happening. But I must say that if it weren't for the audiobook I would continue this series.

One of the things I truly enjoy doing is sharing my new author finds with my friends, family, extended friends, blog readers, random people I meet in book stores, complete strangers.. *grins* I know.. everyone really does say it all. I love when an author I find, hits home run after home run! That she shares her wonderful depth of talent in book after book after book.. So far Elisabeth Naughton is doing just that! Often when we know a character is coming next, when his is a story that we have been waiting for, we find ourselves disappointed.. YAY for Ms Naughton because she gives us a slightly sinful, fully delightful read in Enraptured.
ORPHEUS, resident bad boy.. Oldest son who should have been marked as an Eternal Guardian but was passed over for his much younger brother. He is part Demon, Part witch and part Argonaut and ALL Hero in disguise! For years he has lead a life of opulence, his hero tendencies known only to a select few and even then he manages to convince them that it is more or less his imagination. When his much loved Hero Brother’s soul is taken and suddenly Orpheus is marked as an argonaut.. He has one goal. Get Gryphon back at all cost! If anyone should ask, he tells them that he doesn’t want or need the hero burden.. only to himself does he admit that his love for Gryphon will lead him into any darkness, just to find and save his much loved brother.
Skyla. the longest living siren a woman devoted to her job, the assassins of the gods.. She has been sent to hunt Orpheus down.. he has an agenda and the gods want him stopped. The problem is, once they meet there is a deep connection, a shared memory, an impossible reality. Skyla is confused, she has spent a thousand lifetimes serving the whims of the gods and now she begins to wonder. Are they being straight with her? Is there more to her story than they have shared? Why is she so attracted to Orpheus? Why are the gods keeping secrets? She must learn to see the truth between opposing stories, to fight for what is real and in the end she has to decide what is real and what in fact is fiction.
Skyla and Orpheus join together to search out an ancient artifact that all the gods seem to want. Each for their own purpose and yet each accuses Orpheus as being the extreme evil.. His wants are questioned, he is the betrayer, he should be destroyed. Ms Naughton shows us the pettiness of the Olympic Gods.. The malice and spite which ruled their pantheon, she does an excellent job of reminding us that they gods are not cute, considerate beings but petty self centered children with too much power.. This was after all, a group of beings that banded together to kill their father...
What I really loved about this book was that Orpheus found he was not alone, he was never alone.. That he had friends who were willing to support him, to back him, to just be there for him.. It brought tears to my eyes to see Orpheus realize that he truly was a being of worth.. That he deserved the love and respect he was getting.
Skyla and Orpheus’ journey was about more than saving Gryphon, it was about remembering themselves, finding and accepting love, about letting go and holding on. It was about working together and trusting the other when he/she needed to work alone. The tension between these two was most excellent, a powerful pull. I totally loved it.. As I have said with every book of this series.. it is a must read series.. a must read book! Run, not walk, to your nearest book store and pick up a copy..

Gosh I loved this book! Orpheus & Skyla, Skyla, Skyla!! LOL! HOT, HOT, HOT! Whew!
Orpheus, the mad/bad boy of the Argonauts. A Medean magician (who acquired his half brother Gryphon's Argolean marks as a fluke (or was it?) That's how we enter the Guardians domain. Add in Skyla, one of Zeus's Sirens' sent to kill Orpheus and retrieve the Orb of Kronos (bad juju). Little does she realize that she's met Orpheus before (about 2000 yrs before!)
I loved this book! It had Hades who was Hot (and not in a good way!), his wife Persephone, Atalanta, who is thrown into hell & captures poor Gryphon and binds him to her (so sad!) Can't wait to find out what will happen to him! I know a girl named Malea (Zeus and Persephone's quirky daughter) is involved somehow.
BUT...this is about love and faith which conquers all things, including space and time. I cried at the end of this. Orpheus was such a (dare I say it?) JERK! Yep, total jerk but such a hot Alpha! Skyla, the Siren who was lied to by Zeus and Athena had told Orpheus/Cynurus, "I will never forget" (she even has to leave for a time but the Fates step in), and of course being the kick-ass Siren that she is, she KEPT HER PROMISE! Oh, I loved the woman!
I also loved that this book was lushly descriptive of the surroundings and I felt like I was there! Although, descriptions of hell were harsh but appropriate, I thought.
Great Book for all you Guardian addicts out there! Thanks Elisabeth!

Just great.
It started out really slow at first and I had a hard time to grasp with the story, at the point I was worried this book might not be my favourite in the series. Well, I was wrong and I'm glad I enjoyed it immensely.
Skyla would be on top of my favourite heroine in this series. She's an assassin, a fighter, and feisty. Yet have a loving and tender heart. Definitely my kind of girl. There's a scene involving her that tugged my heart I was close to cry and curse oh shit is this going to be a happily never after, no!. Yes, I was scared shit for her. For Orpheus. For both of them. Pardon me the continuous usage of shit word.
Next best thing in this book would be their journey to the Underworld. It was fascinating although it wasn't as thrilling as I was expecting and it was suffice enough because other scenes weren't lack thereof.
My observation from beginning until now is that I conclude that the Fate is three old meddle and romantic hags. They're so funny alright. They clearly enjoy this Hera soulmate curse (or blessing in Argonauts' case) thing.
Next book will be about Gryphon and Maelea. To be honest, I'm not sure about these two. Not sure if I want to put high expectation on the next book. One is far-too-cry-out damaged soul and broken. One is too dark and spineless. Will there be any excitement? Should I prepare for emotionally drained? I guess so.

Well, I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the previous two but it was still enjoyable. It took a bit of time for me to get into the story but once it started to pick up I was anxious to finish it.
The ending was quite emotional.
Unfortunately, the library does not have the next one in an e-book so I have to wait for the paperback to arrive at my location to read the next one. :( Poor Gryphon. He was such a fun loving character and I hate that his character changed. I just hope he can somehow come back from where he is right now. It will be hard but I hope that Mealea can bring him out of it and that he can heal her too.
The ending was quite emotional.

I’ve kind of always liked Orpheus, and when I found out his story was next, I was really excited! He’s a half daemon/half Argonaut with a witchy twist. This book was much darker than I expected, but in a good way.
If you remember, Orpheus’ brother Gryphon was killed, sort of. A warlock stole his soul and sent it to Tartarus while running amok with his body. This meant the Argonaut markings showed up on Orpheus’s arms. This was unacceptable. Orpheus’ goal is to return his brother’s soul to his body, but don’t go getting any ideas about Orpheus being a hero. He’s the first to say that Gryphon’s the hero, and he’s just a screw-up. He’s not doing it for any noble reasons, it’s all because he doesn’t want to be a hero (or at least that’s what he says).
As the book opens, Orpheus is looking for a woman who can help him find the warlock who wears his brother’s body. But while he’s hunting the daughter of Persephone and Zeus, someone is hunting him.
Skyla is a Siren and her mission is to kill the half-daemon named Orpheus. She is told how evil he is, and what a monster he is, but she didn’t once question what she was told. Turns out Zeus and Athena told her a big pack of lies.
When Orpheus and Skyla meet up, she is amazed at his control over his daemon half, but she also sticks to him like glue. And then she seduces him. Orpheus keeps having these déjà vu like visions about Skyla and himself from millennia ago. But he figures he’s just freaking out since she seems so unaffected.
She’s not.
Turns out good ol’ Zeus sent her after her former fiancé and soul mate. They don’t recognize each other because the Sirens killed her man and the Fates reincarnated him only a few centuries ago. Orpheus has no recollection of Skyla, and Skyla has all of her memories in tact. This makes for some interesting times.
Meanwhile, Gryphon is undergoing such an awful daily torture that when Atalanta finds him, he is willing to do anything (and he does) to get away from the torture. Atalanta has her own schemes going on while the Argonauts are trying to save Gryphon. Plus they are learning to trust Orpheus, and Skyla is falling in love with him, it’s really a big mess. Yet, Orpheus pulls it off. The guys realize that maybe he’s not as bad as he wants them to think.
This is one of the best books in the series, and it’s a non-stop ride. Between constantly fighting his daemon half, trying not to fall for Skyla, and telling himself he’s not to be a hero, Orpheus will quickly become one of your favorite heroes.

Orpheus, oh Orpheus. How you surprised me .. and yourself. LOVE how his story really personified who he is. Just goes to prove everyone is worthy of love!
The big story just keeps evolving and getting more and more intriguing. The trip through these books has been incredible and keeps getting better. I can only imagine how good EN has made/will be making the rest of series. ... sigh ....
Now if only EN put a preview of Enslaved!!!! I think I know who it's about but not certain. I cannot wait for it to come out. Hurry up already!!!

This was some what a good story but some how a long read....Loved the banter between Orpheus and Skyla....I was more on Orpheus trying to save Gryphon....

There are spoilers for the other books in the series in this review. And there is a small spoiler, which I didn’t even consider as a possibility for the plot, in the third paragraph, but it’s something you find out within about the first fifty pages.
As you know if you read Tempted, Orpheus is hell bent on rescuing his brother Gryphon from the Underworld. To do so, he has to track down the daughter of Zeus and Persephone, Malea, in order to find Apophos, the wizard who stole Gryph’s body and holds the Orb of Kronos, but he runs into some problems when a Siren named Skyla attempts to keep him from reaching his target, as she’s on a mission from the Gods to kill him.
Unlike her previous stories, even the first one, everything just felt so rushed. It didn��t seem like there was much of a set-up and then, bam, the main characters are going at it. Yes there was the fact that someone is reincarnated so they knew each other a long, long time ago. But that doesn’t make it better for me, it makes it worse because I hate the whole reincarnated thing with a passion you can only dream of, and it seems like sort of a cop out for getting Orpheus and Skyla together.
Unfortunately, Orpheus wasn’t as seemingly uncaring and snarky as he was in the past books, characteristics I loved about him, he just didn’t seem like the same person he was before. And Naughton took something from Orpheus, which made him him and totally kick-ass, which I really hated.
Also, I didn’t really feel any connection to Skyla, which bugged me, as I feel that, unlike some authors who are only really great at writing one gender, Naughton writes compelling male and female leads. The whole slutty assassin thing (and I’ll retract the slutty part if she didn’t, in fact, sleep with a large number of her targets) didn’t really do it for me. I actually liked Malea better and, despite the Argonaut and Siren’s history, would’ve preferred it if he’d gotten together with her, though I have an idea she’ll play a bigger role in a future book.
The story seemed like it was most on track when Orpheus was focused on saving Gryphon. And while I didn’t expect Gryphon to be in the story much, though we know his soul is being tortured in the Underworld, I was happy that he was, though I wasn’t so thrilled when we got to see some of the things that were done to him. Poor guy.
While the other parts of the book were just as good as the previous stories, I just wasn’t feeling the whole Orpheus/Skyla relationship. I liked her more towards the end, but I just felt that their whole relationship was based on the past one, which kind of seemed like a lie as they didn’t really appear to know each other, and simply banging each other. And though Naughton definitely knows her way around a sex scene, there were too many in this book for my taste, particularly since I didn’t really feel there was a basis for the main characters to love or even like each other.
The rest of the story that focused on getting the Orb and keeping it safe from Zeus saved this book from a 3 star rating and promises great things for future plots. I loved that we got to see the other characters from previous entries in this series, particularly Isa and Demetrius (my favorites). And Hades continues to be one bad guy you have no desire to root for at all. He’s a depraved jackass who wants to rule over humanity, taking away their free will, and makes Atalanta look like a kitten from an episode of Too Cute!, though on her own she’s still a total pain in the butt too. And don’t even get me started on Kronos! The guy seriously gives me the creeps!
I may just be more disappointed with Enraptured because Orpheus’ story was one I was really looking forward to. I still love this series and the Eternal Guardians and will definitely keep up with it, but I just hope the tension and build-up, particularly at the beginning, are better in Enslaved (just don’t read the blurb for it if you haven’t read this book yet, a mistake I made!). I have one word for this installment of the ETERNAL GUARDIAN series… WOW!
Given the thrilling conclusion to Tempted, I figured that this book would be chock full of goodness. It was that, and then some!
The fabulous Ms. Naughton gifted me with an Advanced Reading Copy of Enraptured and while I did a little happy dance when it first arrived in the mail, it was absolutely nothing compared to the excited verbal outbursts I experienced throughout the read.
Orpheus is an absolutely incredible hero. He’s dealing with his own demons (or daemons as the case may be), skeletons in his closet, and an all encompassing guilt regarding his brother Gryphon’s plight. He has a single minded purpose and sets out to accomplish his goals only to be railroaded and turned inside out and upside down by a sexy Siren with eyes the color of amethysts.
Skyla is Zeus's longest tenured Siren. She should have left the fold eons ago but didn’t. Recovering from a mission gone wrong, she starts out in Enraptured trying to prove something – to both herself and her superiors. Little does she know that she’s about to cross paths with the one man that will make her scatter brained, and he just happens to be her mark.
Thrown together in a case of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’, Skyla and Orpheus embark on a thrilling journey with a demigoddess as their charge, each with their own agendas but with a common lust for reaching their end goal, and as it turns out, one another. They also discover things about one another that make for even more tension, heightened desire, captivating dialogue and a twist to the story that is as unique as it is thrilling.
These two as a couple are hot as hell! Yowza. Both stubborn as all get out, the banter between them was enough to keep the reader riveted, but add in the undeniable attraction between the two of them and you end up with scenes that raised the temperature of the room several degrees and warranted a re-read because they were just THAT good.
In standard Naughton fashion, the world building was a beautifully woven tapestry with descriptions that drew the reader in and made you feel like you were actually a part of the story. Couple that with not only the fabulous leading duo but appearances by just about all of the cast that we’ve come to know and love in the ETERNAL GUARDIAN world, and this was one book that I couldn’t put down but that ended much too quickly.
It is my personal opinion that Elisabeth has grown and outdone herself with each new installment of the ETERNAL GUARDIANS series, but Enraptured was an absolutely phenomenal read and as I said at the start of this review, the best word for it is just “wow”. Enraptured is the perfect title for this book because that’s exactly how I felt after reading it – totally and completely enraptured.

Thrown together in a case of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’, Skyla and Orpheus embark on a thrilling journey with a demigoddess as their charge, each with their own agendas but with a common lust for reaching their end goal, and as it turns out, one another. They also discover things about one another that make for even more tension, heightened desire, captivating dialogue and a twist to the story that is as unique as it is thrilling.
These two as a couple are hot as hell! Yowza. Both stubborn as all get out, the banter between them was enough to keep the reader riveted, but add in the undeniable attraction between the two of them and you end up with scenes that raised the temperature of the room several degrees and warranted a re-read because they were just THAT good.
In standard Naughton fashion, the world building was a beautifully woven tapestry with descriptions that drew the reader in and made you feel like you were actually a part of the story. Couple that with not only the fabulous leading duo but appearances by just about all of the cast that we’ve come to know and love in the ETERNAL GUARDIAN world, and this was one book that I couldn’t put down but that ended much too quickly.
It is my personal opinion that Elisabeth has grown and outdone herself with each new installment of the ETERNAL GUARDIANS series, but Enraptured was an absolutely phenomenal read and as I said at the start of this review, the best word for it is just “wow”. Enraptured is the perfect title for this book because that’s exactly how I felt after reading it – totally and completely enraptured.

This series has been getting better. In the past few books Orpheus has been straddling the grey, he is a Daemon, something that is considered vile and what he has kept as a secret from his own brother Gryphon.
He also has witch powers and after the events of the last book in which Gryphon's soul was sent to Tartus and body possessed, carries the Argonauts markings, something he doesn't want instead he has spent the past three months trying to rescue his brother and for that he needs to track down Maelea, the daughter of Zeus and the Persephone(wife of Hades), banished to the human realm. She has the power to tell him where the Orb of Kronos is (Kronos is the father of Zeus, Hades etc).
After this Orb is also Hades and the ever scheming Atlanta who somehow manages to find her way to Gryphon and makes a deal with him and Kronos which I am sure Gryphon will have to deal with in his book Enslaved, because he truly becomes a slave, his heroic past forgotten under the torture he endured.
Sklya is a Siren, an order of assassins who serve Athena and Zeus and she is Athena's right hand and has served longer than anyone else. The only time she rebelled was when she fell in love Cynurus, the rebellious grandson of Zeus who stole the element air from him and who she was sent to kill but she couldn't because she loved him but she watched the other Sirens kill him.
When she meets Orpheus her new mark he is hot on Maelea's tail when they are attacked by hybrid Daemons and she sees him turn. She takes him to get cleaned up and when she kisses him her world is rocked because she comes to see something she thought was long gone, that Orpheus is the re-incarnation of Cynurus, who had died two thousand years before.
Sklya is torn, she doesn't want to be foolish again, the Sirens and Athena gave her purpose in life and now they want her to do her duty. She has been told that Orpheus wants the orb but what she doesn't know is, it is for saving his brother.
I wasn't sure how we would see Orpheus get redeemed, don't get me wrong he is still a bad-ass and no matter how much he tries to deny it, he has a soul which cares for people and tries to save them. All in all a very good book in the series, with a great romance and overall story development.

The title says it all. I find myself Enraptured by this sensational, sizzling paranormal romance where a tortured soul defies darkness and becomes a hero.
Orpheus has lived hundreds of years as a creature of both dark and light, never fitting in anywhere. He is determined to rescue his brother from the underworld, even if he looses his own soul in the process. Skyla is a siren, a human servant/assassin who serves Zeus, the king of the gods. Skyla is sent to spy on Orpheus and claim the artifact he seeks for Zeus. However, when Skyla meets Orpheus, she realizes that what the gods have told her may not be the truth. Skyla and Orpheus have an instant connection, a connection that has lasted for longer than Orpheus would have dreamed. The process of saving his brother changes Orpheus as the darkness in him and the truth of his past comes to light.
I absolutely love Greek mythology. I love the complexity of the gods and their warped interactions with the human world. Elisabeth Naughton takes Greek mythology and makes it her own in a world that is intriguing and all together captivating. In the Eternal Guardian series, the argonauts become so much for than sailors and fighters who followed heroes in ancient myths, they are the heroes themselves. Orpheus, he is a fantastic hero. He is confident in his abilities, but humble in that he doesn't see himself as good. In Enraptured, we learn his story, which proves to be complex and moving.
As for Skyla, I really like her character, however for a woman who had been around along time, she seemed a little slow coming to terms with reality versus the lies the gods had fed her. Then again, she was struggling with her own hurts, so I understood where she was coming from. Skyla is a strong, fighting woman herself, and a perfect match for Orpheus. Their history and story plays out it unexpected ways, following the various plot twists and surprises along the way. I was full of anticipation waiting for the truth of Orpheus' past to be revealed. The whole story culminates with a surprising and satisfying conclusion, while making me long for the next installment in the series.
I will admit, I was not able to read all the previous books in the series before starting Enraptured. I have read the first 2 books in the series, but I missed book 3. Even with missing a book, I had no trouble getting into the story and understanding the current situation. While Enraptured could be read as a stand along, I would recommend reading the series in order. You can bet that I will be reading book 3 very soon, I can't stay away from this series for long.
With the reluctant hero, a star crossed romance, and a plot that will keep you guessing, Enraptured is an exceptional novel in an outstanding paranormal romance series. The Eternal Guardian series is a must read series for romance and paranormal readers, and mythology lovers.

Seriously, this series is so full of holes it could be swiss cheese...but something keeps me going on. I don't understand but I am being entertained or I wouldn't be thinking so hard about stuff.
Orpheus has been the unknown since book 1 and I just had to find out his story. In the last book, we saw him use the orb to save his little brother Gryphon, but that wizard stole Gryphon's body, trapping Gryphon's soul in the underworld.
Orpheus is so wrecked with guilt that he decides he will go there and rescue his brother. Of course the gods (Zeus, Hera, Hades, even Atlanta) have their own plans for the brothers. Zeus sends on of Hera's sirens, Skylar, to seduce, kill and get the orb from Orpheus. And what seemed like a game of seduction, turned into something more. In addition, Orpheus and Skylar experience deja vu, like they have danced to this tune before, but surely they couldn't have. Either way, they are inexplicably drawn to each other, but Skylar is sent to be an assassin. Can she really go through with her mission?
I like this series but these eternal guardians are no different from humans. They seem weak to me. They are unobservant, lacking in the basic preparation by finding out about their enemies and they are verbally caustic to their fated females.
With all that said, I will be starting audiobook 5 in a few minutes because I have to make sure Gryphon is alright. After all, being trapped and tortured by Hades every day for 3 months has to be terrible on his psyche. I want to see who saves him, though I suspect she has been on the run with Orpheus and Skylar this whole time (*Cough Maela).

What the plot really is:
In the previous books, Orpheus had the Orb of Kronos. He gave it to his brother Gryphon - the true Argonaut of his family - to kill Atalanta (pretty much the queen of all the Demons) - Her beginnings are explained in the first book, so I think it needs to be read in order.
Orpheus' plot was ruined by a warlock that took over Gryphon's body & sent his soul to Tartarus - the worst part of hell in the underworld. Orpheus needs to take the orb back from the warlock so he can save his brother.
Skyla is a siren who works for Athena. She is sent by Athena for Zeus to kill Orpheus, They deem him dangerous & Zues wants the orb for himself.
Orpheus needs the illegitimate daughter of Persephone & Zeus who can sense shifts in the earth to find the warlock. Sooo... All 3 Orpheus, Skyla & Maelea go on their quest. Blah blah blah.
Why this one was so good:
This one plotted out so much story ahead. New characters are introduced, new quests for the argonauts & new items to keep safe etc.
It also had so much going on in almost 400 pages, I hated to put it down. Also included was the hot little love story between Orpheus & Skyla.
I have nothing bad to say. EVEN the Covers are perfect!
I cannot wait for the next one!
This is my favorite series, but sometimes I forget. I read so many books & the next books take from 6 months to a year to be released, so I really can't pace around... I would like to though.
My guess is that the next book will be about Gryphon & Maelea. It was just an obvious set up, but she could squeeze in a Nick book in between! I definitely wouldnt mind!
Problem I see starting this series
Not very many people like Greek myth. I like it mixed with the romance all of these books are, and it doesn't let the big Gods win or have their way all the time as in most books which is a plus. I think the first book was a 5 star read also, I just think it's rated overall in the 3.90 range because of the greek myth problem some people have. Oh well! HA! Just look at the cover!!

Occasionally, I want nothing more than to read fluffy romances, liberally sprinkled with smut. However, it has to meet a few qualifications, the most important being that it must be well written, and the romance and brazen sexuality must be a benefit to the story. Nothing gratuitous for the sake of being wanton.
That being said, Naughton does the aforementioned well. Her writing is decent and her dialogue is easy to follow, and is generally able to avoid being cheesy. Her stories are emotionally engaging and her sex scenes are, to put it simply, hawt! It's been years since I started the Eternal Guardian series and when I read the 3rd one, it was at that time, the last available book in the series. Years have passed and I had forgotten about them until this week. I'm glad I picked it back up again, because it's a very sexy, fun series to read. She takes mythology and melds it into a new story, while still holding onto its roots. (Albeit, very loosely at times) I absolutely love mythology and I enjoy her spin on it. I'll definitely continue on and finish the series.

I was enjoying this series of fast mindless pleasure reads until I hit this novel, which dragged, did not get me invested in the characters or the story, to the point I was skipping over even the repetitious sex scenes. This is so disappointing I've decided not to read the next two (will return them instead & move on to something else).
The story had so much promise, and Orpheus deserved a better book than he was given, as one of the previously most fascinating characters in these novels. One would think a match between a Siren & an Argonaut, Daemon, Witch hybrid would be explosive & sensual, yet Enraptured missed every possible mark for me as a reader.

Okay after reading all four books I have to concluded that book four is my favorite. From the moment he was introduced I had a bit of a crush on the resident bad boy, Orpheus. This book definitely solidified my crush on him. What an amazing transformation for his character? Also to see Isadora rise to the challenge of being queen was very pleasant. As a writer myself, I love that authors have the power to make their characters evolve. That is so true in this book. Not only is their love here but the characters actually learn from their mistakes. We should all be so lucky in real life.

okay so i had like Orpheus in the other books, and had a feeling id adore the snarky rebel in his own book. Naughton didnt disappoint me here either. Though we watched him evolve/mature and realize he was a hero, instead of chained by his daemon. As we watched him fall in love and save his soul, i was awwwedd, the love to save his brother, the agony when he thouht Skyla was dead...oh yes, this was a great book, and it leaves you wondering about he next book and Gryphon's story all that much more.

*sigh of relief* The magic is back! The last two books had something missing but this story was great. I've loved Orpheus since the beginning and knew that he wasn't a true daemon. I liked the spin on the Sirens and Skyla was kickass. Great continuation to the series.

No tan bueno como me esperaba.... La verdad es que pasamos más capítulos salvando a Gryphon que viendo como el amor florecía entre Orpheus y Skyla. Me ha parecido algo flojo, aunque saber que habían compartido vidas pasadas me gustó.
