This handy little book is a companion to a magazine series called Period Ideas for your Home. It is designed for people who want to recreate the essence of a Victorian home. It's quite thorough but is succinct at the same time. I' actually using it as a reference book for a story set in a Victorian house and the detail, even down to the type of drapery around a four poster bed, has been invaluable. I fully recommend it as a quick read or reference if you like Victorian design.
