"Probably the first complete utopia published in the United States. No money, land is held in common and labor is required from all until 50." - from a review in British and American Utopian Literature: An Annotated Bibliography by Lyman Tower Sargent.
This text was published serially in Vol 2, No. 12 of The Temple of Reason, a Deist weekly in Philadelphia. The first book edition was published in 1837.
At times meticulously detailed, at other times seems to have glaring omissions. Pretty cool as a historical document. The history itself and how this utopia came about is fascinating, even possible.
