I was diagnosed with DCIS in June. I had just received my biopsy results and I was searching the internet for all the information available. That’s my way of coping; arming my arsenal with information. Everything you read is complex or impersonal and almost every breast cancer book deals with more advanced stages.
Jennifer has not only written an informative book about being diagnosed with DCIS, treatment options and prognosis; she has shared her story giving a very detailed and personal account of her experiences. She gives you her perspective but also comprehensive tips and tricks or things to consider at various stages, things you might’ve thought of, but definitely things you haven’t.
I don’t want to downplay the amount of research and resources that Jennifer has provided, but she does so with a personal and compassionate perspective.
I think this book is something everyone who’s been diagnosed with DCIS should read. My first procedure is next week, and I plan on reading this several times along the way of my treatment journey. I recommend you do too.

Definitely a must have book for anyone going through Stage 0 DCIS. Very helpful with explanations of terms and misunderstood treatments and helping to ask questions during all phases of a patient's treatment plan.
