Caught between loyalty and lust, a human girl and two Fae men in a twisted fairy tale – welcome to my ridiculously complicated love life!
Hey there, I'm Beth. One day I'm slogging through my humdrum human life, the next, I'm the rightful heir to the Fae realm. I kid you not! I landed in a world of magic, danger, and way too many good-looking men.
Let's talk about Bleddyn, the hot Fae knight. Loyal to a fault, he’s stuck in a loyalty pickle between his oaf of a prince and me. But the way he wields his sword (mind out of the gutter, please) and the way he looks at me with those silver eyes - I can't help but wonder, will he risk it all and choose love over loyalty?
Then, there's Daeary, my personal nightmare... or dream come true, depending on the day. He's a smoking hot (literally) incubus with a charisma that could kill - no, seriously, it could. You'd think dating a sex demon would be all fun and games, but the guy has issues. He's scared to death he’ll hurt me if he can’t feed his hunger with others. But the way his fiery eyes light up when he sees me, I can't help but hope, will he realize that love doesn't need to hurt?
So here I am, stuck in this deadly but oh-so-enticing love triangle, trying to navigate the political drama of my new world while battling my own misbelief that I can do it all alone. But with a throne at stake and a villainous uncle who'd kill to keep it, this is no fairy tale - and these men are more than just potential princes. Will you join me on this wild ride?
Dive into "Fae Lost" and discover a world of magic, betrayal, love, and some pretty sizzling Fae. One-click now and join Beth on her seductively magical journey. You won't want to miss a moment of this thrilling rollercoaster ride!
Book One of the Hidden Fae Series. This is a spin-off series to the Second Chance Academy series.
Please note this book contains steamy scenes, suitable for 18+.
This book had me hooked from the very first page! I finished it in one sitting and cannot wait for Fae Torn to come out.
First, my book ratings rely heavily on how the book made me feel. Fae Lost made me feel excited and entranced. Beth is someone I see as a relatable mfc and I found myself really loving her inner thoughts and conflict. The narration of the book sounded like she was your bff just telling you this story and I really prefer these types of narrations over more formal ones.
The book moved at a pretty quick pace, but it was done in a nice way as I did not feel I was missing any necessary information or wanting more details than the author gave. I think it’s great to have fantasy books that are so detailed you’re still in the world building stage at page 200, but I really love these faster paced books that get straight to the point.
I am excited to see how the characters develop in the coming story - I think what we got to see of them in Fae Lost will make me miss their company until the next book comes out, though I do feel like I know them fairly well. Ella did a great job with the characters, romance, and plot. I felt it was a really balanced mix of spice and story (for my personal tastes).
I will be thinking about this book until the next one is released!
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book prior to publishing in return for my honest review
I feel as if there are any connecting series, they should be read first. Although this is book 1 it literally starts off as if it is continuing from another book. As a new reader I had a lot of questions about Who, What, Where, When and How.
On a good note this story was fast paced and spicy. The FMC is on a journey looking for answers regarding her father's assassination as well as looking for her missing lovers (once again the reader has no clue who these people are). Unfortunately, the spice is what kept my attention because it really felt like I was missing something.
She is soon discovered to be the lost princess of the Fae Kingdom due to her mother going missing many years prior. Now she is thrust into a powerful role and has made an enemy out of her would be uncle.
If you're looking for a fast paced, frenemies to lovers tale about a human (ish) female unknowingly becoming the heir to the Fae Realm look no further.
This book had it all:
Found Family Magic Spice Two hot Fae Betrayal
Unfortunately, if a reader is not familiar with the connecting series it can seem like you're missing something throughout the story but I'm willing to give book 2 a try since this one ended on a good Cliffhanger.
This was a good book about a half-human half fae girl and of course all the trials that come along with that role in a paranormal world especially when one is the heir to a paranormal throne. Throw in a steamy romance and you have a heated read.
Please Note: Recommended strictly for adults 18+ because of steamy scenes and adult subject matters. Don't read if you're not an adult. If you are, you'll find a love story between a girl and her multiple boyfriends.
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This is a spin-off series to the Second Chance Academy series. Dive in and discover a world of magic, betrayal, love, and some pretty sizzling Fae. Caught between loyalty and lust, a human girl named Beth and two Fae men in a twisted fairy tale. Join her on her seductively magical journey. You won't want to miss a moment of this thrilling rollercoaster ride! One day she’s slogging through her humdrum human life, the next, she’s the rightful heir to the Fae realm. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.
Beth has decided to stay in the Fae realm when Amber and the guys returned to the human one. She wanted to try and find out more about who her family was and why her father had been murdered and an assassin sent after her. She is also looking for her two lovers who were kidnapped and brought here from the Academy and not seen since. She joins up with a Fae named Bleddyn who cautions her about traveling alone, especially as she is human, or half-human. Bleddyn shows her the truth about the Fae world and explains why humans are being brought there, I'll let you find that out for yourself. When a woman tells her that she is the daughter of the Lost Princess and thus a member of the royal family, Beth is hopeful that she will find out more about her mother and gain some family members. She also meets an Incubus named Daeary who is obviously going to play a big part in her story. Her family reunion is not going to go well when her grandfather declares her his heir, moving her treacherous uncle to the number 2 position. Not going to end well.
I am excited to see where this story goes. Beth has two men who want her, and a glimpse of a possible third. Hopefully, this will be enough to save her from her uncle's Machiavellian tactics. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
"Fae Lost" was my very first RH story. I was always a little apprehensive with this kind of setup because I worried about not having enough story between steamy scenes to keep me on board. Boy, was I wrong! Beth's story captivated me from page 1. I found myself immersed in the book, living through everything Beth experienced, learning about this new world she entered in hopes of saving her men. Beth is full of life and street smart, but also new to and inexperienced in this world of Fae.
Ella managed to create a world that I want to learn more about. She paints such a clear and sometimes disturbing picture of Fae. The book ended on a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book in the trilogy.
This was a quick read, and considering I never read the first series this spun-off from, it did a good job of setting the stage for the Faerie realm.
There were several plot holes or inconsistencies which I was sad had not been noticed or rectified prior to publishing and would have made the story feel more complete to me.
The reverse harem portion of this story is so mild- it’s really just like she has two boyfriends or guys she is seeing. I felt like I lacked a connection to the main character Beth, and something the entire way through felt missing.
I likely won’t read more in the series, but I’m giving three stars for a solid, good effort.
A new series begins as a spin-off series to the Second Chance Academy series with Beth as the star. Beth decides to stay in Fae land and hunt for her friends and maybe hunt down some family members. But all is not as it seems as she meets Bleddyn and Daeary as she learns what it means to travel and survive the Fae. Add in trouble, surprises and a twist and get a very steam RH story with hot guys and the start of a wild adventure. Made me laugh and shake my head at Beth abut I enjoyed the surprises.
This is a great story. The world building is very interesting. There is some connection to a previous series but you get enough information to know what is going on. The characters are wonderful. I love how twisty and complex they are. The multiple POV is always fun to experience and give a broader view. My heart aches for the characters and their situations. I hope there are solutions in the next book. Highly recommend this book.
Uh the storyline was ok. Beth was beyond annoying though. She kinda came off as stupid and entitled. Yes she’s a half human with human ideals. But come on. To literally stay in a realm you know nothing of. Then expect things to go your way… every dam time something bad happen she’s like oh that was stupid…. Like duh!
Wow, what a great start to this set. So much going on. Lots of twists and turns, danger and of course, HEAT. Great characters with lots of chemistry. I really hope the next part is available soon. Can’t wait.
I could not get into this book at all🫠 I felt that certain plot points were unnecessary or just confusing. I did read this pretty fast, so that could’ve also been part of the problem. There were still some good parts in the book though, but I don’t think I will continue the series.
Always love a good fae story. So good! I couldn’t put it down! I love the storyline! Highly recommend ! I definitely want to read more books from this author.
I will be honest, the only reason I read this book is because I recieved it for free for my kindle. I will not be reading any more of the books in this series and the following statement will be why.
This book was extremely lackluster. The storyline was unoriginal and uninspired, drawing solely upon the many popular books regarding fae and the fae world. You are literally dropped into a story halfway through, missing 90% of the story and only getting hints at what happened before scattered throughout the text. Yes I realize that this would probably be solved by reading the previous series, however it was marketed as a standalone so this is still unacceptable. You are given no solid base or standpoint of why any of it is happening or what the main characters motive is. Besides that the writing itself is honestly just really bad. Grammer alongside so many other important writing tools are thrown out the window.
The only thing that I can even remotely be positive about is the consistency of the characters. That is not to say I think any or all of the characters are great. But oftentimes 18+ books have their heroine be so incredibly inconsistent in their desires and motives that it was refreshing to see an mc at least stay consistent throughout the book.
Let me start by saying that this was a good read, but I believe I would have enjoyed it more had I read the Second Chance Academy series. The beginning of the story had me feeling so lost with a lot of unanswered questions and I believe that most of it was revealed in the SCA series. I was able to get some answers to the questions I had but I just felt that there was so much more to it than what was revealed in this book. I loved Bleddyn's character from the very beginning and I want more of him. Beth was a good character, hardheaded at times but I like that she wasn't weak. I also enjoyed Daeary and I'm looking forward to more of him to see what choices he will make in regard to Beth. This story will not only have characters you will love but those you will hate. There's romance, suspense, mystery, steamy scenes and betrayal, with a cliffhanger ending that will leave you wanting more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book. I just really wish I had read the SCA series so I wouldn't have felt so lost with all of the unanswered questions.
I thought this book had a very interesting plot. Although it felt slow a few times in the story, the pace of the world and character backstory reveals made those moments still interesting. The tension was also done well and kept me on edge throughout the whole story.
The characters also made up for the strange pace of the plot. Daeary was my favorite of all the characters, with Beth as second after him, because how it felt like he had a complex personality that was well built.
I also loved to see how Bleddyn and Daeary’s relationship, separate from the main lead, is growing. I can’t wait to see more of it in the next book.
The world was the most uniquely created out of all the books involving fae that I have read. The plot line felt different as well.
The cliffhanger at the end was everything, leaving great possibly to speculate over what I think will happen next. I can’t wait to read the next book to see if I’m right.
"Fae Lost" marked my first venture into the realm of RH stories. Initially apprehensive about the setup, I feared a lack of substantial storytelling amidst steamy scenes might deter my interest. However, to my surprise, Beth's enthralling journey held me captive from the very first page. I found myself completely immersed, experiencing every twist and turn alongside her, delving into this new Fae world she ventured into to rescue her men.
Beth's vibrant personality and street smarts, combined with her naivety and inexperience in the Fae realm, created a compelling and relatable protagonist. Ella masterfully crafted a world that beckons me to explore further, painting vivid and sometimes unsettling images of the Fae's domain. The book's conclusion left me hanging on a tantalizing cliff, eagerly awaiting the next installment in this gripping trilogy.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is full of surprises and interesting characters. It's definitely a page turner. I did, however, pick up on quite a few grammar/spelling mistakes, especially near the end of the book. They are minor, but it does interrupt the pace you're reading if you have to stop to double-check. All in all, it is a good book and I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend it to someone who enjoys paranormal dark fantasy romance books. I would be on the lookout for the next book in this series as it ended on a cliffhanger, and it's keeping me in suspense (which I love). Thank you, Ms. Ella J. Smyth for a great read.
"Fae Lost" is a thrilling and spicy fae reverse harem with a fast-paced plot. The FMC is on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's assassination and find her missing lovers. The story is filled with magic, a found family, and betrayal, making it an exciting read. Beth is caught between two hot Fae who want her, and there might be a third in the mix. I can't wait to see where the story takes us and how she escapes her uncle's cunning plans. I received an advanced copy from the author, and my review is voluntary.

Beth is half human and half Fae and 100% in a world she knows nothing about. Bleddyn is 100% Fae and ALL man. He is also hiding some secrets.
If he isn’t enough… Beth finds herself an incubus. Daeary… finds Beth and more than he bargained for.
This is full of deceit, death, family drama and struggles and of course some 🥵 times with two men… the world she finds herself is dying and of her uncle has his way she may be as well.
The ending is a cliffy and I look forward to reading what comes next.

I got lost (in a good way) reading this magical story. I mean the world building was crazy good and I felt like I was there with the characters - especially Beth. Her voice was perfectly pitched and spoke to the reader on such a familiar level it was easy to think you were there as a part of the story.
There was a perfect level of spice/romance, because the main emphasis is on the fantasy story - but still for readers like me who love a little flirting, it was great! Will definitely be adding this author to my bookshelf list!.

Fae Lost is Beth, Bleddyn and Daeary's fae, reverse harem HEA. Beth's world is turned upside down. From a normal human life to Fae royalty. When she meets Bleddyn and Daeary the love triangle is only part of her complicated new life. This was a good story. It moved slower than I usually prefer but it was good.

A good fantasy with some interesting characters. Beth, half human, half fae, down to earth, funny and an unlikely heir to the Fae throne. Her love triangle with Bleddyn and Daeary lead you into explicit, steamy sex scenes, while in between, she is trying to deal with her new found family. Keeps you entertained. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed this book. It had great world building, relatable characters, mystery, strategy, betrayal and love. It was fun to watch the relationship between the characters develop and grow. I can't wait for the next book.

This is an excellent start to a new series. I loved Beth, and her inability to bow down. Bleddyn and Daerry are great characters too, this is going to be a scorching RH. The politics of the court are perfectly complex and intriguing. I can't wait for more.
This is a great start to the Hidden Fae series, a fae reverse harem romance. Beth has a heck of an adventure as she stays in the fae realm. It is filled with steam, danger, action, twists and chemistry. Not all is as it seems and I can't wait to read the next book of the series.
