Louise Erdrich is an author I've been meaning to check out for a long time. I wish I had gotten to her sooner, because I loved this book and will definitely be reading more of her work.

This really packs in a lot for only being 240 pages. Written in a nonlinear way, it covers several generations of Native Americans. At times the author expertly ramps up tension and at other times the pace is slowed down and the beauty of her writing really shines. Highly recommended.
