I DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN!!!
Carson and Mak are Topp tier!! I swear I loved everything about this couple.

Carson is a big guy thick and he is a boudoir photographer making people feel great about there bodies but he has a tiny Insecurites form a pervious relationship and past that has him have his walls up he only takes play partners and nothing serious. Until he meets Mak who was going to do a shoot for her then boyfriend but now she's single and he convinces her to do it for herself.

Before they meet they chat (they didn't know) on a bdam app, making plans to play. Being suprised when they do the photoshoot. Things pick up between them as they go over what they want in this contract. They do have a few rocky parts due to both overthinking. But I love that they were open and honest and handled things.

The chase scenes!!! If you wanna read a good primal play THIS IS THE BOOK!!
And I love the author making Carson the insucre one about his body they had a rough talk but it was so good.

Oh LAWD! This entire series is just seeeeeexy AF… and all three focus so much on the main couples/relationships that it’s hard to move on to a normal back after; they’re just not built the same anymore 🤣… but alas… I needs to keep attacking my TBR 🤣 they’re not gonna read themselves 🤣.

In terms of which one I liked the most, sigh… it might still be a tie between Glitch and Flip… but the reasons why I liked this one less is based on my likes/dislikes and nothing else 🫣. If it wasn’t for that, it’d be hard to decide which one was my favorite 😅. I love these characters so much 😭.

Carson’s a boudoir photographer, a dom daddy, and has insecurities like a normal person. Because of this, he doesn’t like being touched. In every other aspect though, he’s a confident, big, burly, buff man 🫠.

Mak/Makayla has had a photo shoot scheduled for MANY months ago, and when she tries to cancel, Carson convinces her to keep it. Originally, she wanted to do this shoot for her then-boyfriend who was an a hole. Carson’s been in the business long-enough and gives her the confidence-boost she needs to go through with it.

That same night, she ends up signing up for KinkLink, an app that will allow her to finally act out on one of her biggest fantasies, primal kink 👀. She gets matched quickly and finds the dom she matched with incredibly seeeexy. He sends her his contract to sign and she’s giddy with excitement.

The next day, she shows up for the photo shoot, and gasps. Because the man photographing her is none other than the dom she matched with 👀

What I liked/loved: possible spoilers
—the 🔥. I mean… duh 🤣. This entire series is so full of 🔥, that I don’t know if I’ll ever find another that’ll compare. But it’s not just the seeexy times on page that makes it so sensual, it’s what happens before and after 😅. First kiss happens at about 28%, some 💦 eating at about 35% with full 🔥 by 41%

—relationship-based ❤️. I looooove that this book is mostly about them, their inner struggles, their character/growths, and it showcases how their emotional connections evolve as the book progresses which is rooted in their physical attraction but branches out to waaaay more than that ❤️

—their vulnerabilities 🫶. Carson actually has the bigger one because of his body dysmorphia 😥. I felt completely immersed in their hesitations and discomforts, more specifically, Carson’s fear of not being fit enough for Mak or being too big since she’s so petite (as in, he’s like 150 pounds heavier than her).

—he’s a pleasure dom 🥵. Jeeeezus does he love eating cereal 🫠 he makes sure she’s ready 💦

—primal play at its finest 😮‍💨. Oh LAWWWWD 🫠 have mercy 🥵. Dayum Mak, you’re a lucky girl. I loved every since chasing scene 😉

—this is just a personal thing, but I felt sad that neither of them want kids or to get married 😭

—Carson’s job 🫣 (this is on me since I knew that going in). Sigh. I’m glad Mak isn’t bothered by it… but🫣. I don’t know how I feel about the H taking sexy pictures of women for a living 😬 (besides his job of shooting the cover of romance books), who might sometimes be sans clothes 😬. I tried not to let it bother me (because Mak isn’t bothered luckily)… but… 😬🫣. i DO like how professional he is while shooting though, and we get to see him take pictures of others (and because we’re in his head, we know he’s not perverse about it), but yeah… 😅

—when she’s doing her photo shoot, I was 🤔 sometimes after Mak changed clothes. We’re in Carson’s POV for some of it and I couldn’t picture her outfits. The only reason why it made me 🤔 was because when she’s using the wings, she’s topless, but we had no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️. If it wasn’t because his next client came for their appointment and she felt flush with embarrassment, I wouldn’t have known. I guess having more details here would’ve made it better for me. So it made me question the other photo shoot we see him do earlier in the book 😅. I’m sure the reason this was done was to show how professional he is, but still 😐. 🤣

I want it to be known that I absolutely LOVED Glitch and Flip by Briana before I dive into all my thoughts on Click.

ALSO, I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER THAT HAS PHOTOGRAPHED BOUDOIR SHOOTS AND THAT HAS HAD HER OWN BOUDOIR SHOOTS DONE. So if you're not a photographer, you'll probably love this book. I, however, couldn't get past some of the inaccuracies or how uncomfy this made me. SO LET'S GET TO IT!!

RED FLAGS:
- Boudoir photographers do not say "oh you can hold it" if a client says they're tired or they can't do it. If a client feels uncomfortable, you simply have them take a break or switch the pose entirely.
- Good hair and makeup does NOT take 30 minutes.
- You do not start a boudoir session off with a sex chair. NO, NO, AND NO.
- You do not "run photos through edits" like a machine. You, as a photographer, HAND-EDIT (unless you outsource your photos to another photographer)
- The MMC who is the boudoir photographer does not just call his client a "good girl". EW.
- MALE BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHERS SHOULD NOT HAVE HARD DICKS DURING SESSIONS. I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. Maybe if they'd been together and they had a boudoir session later in the book. But this is a BIG NOPE for me.

GREEN FLAGS:
- he asked permission to touch her during the session (which every boudoir photographer should do)
- mmc (boudoir photographer) encouraged fmc to go through with her boudoir session after a break-up for a little self love.
- We photographers do say "PERFECT" and "SO BEAUTIFUL" all the time. Can confirm 100%.

Again.... I'll end this with, I'm a photographer myself so if you're not a photographer, you'll probably love this.

І там в попередній я поставила тільки через те, що вона вже починається зі стосунків, тому не вистачило початку. Трішки не вистачило попередніх персонажів, там були згадки і може 2 моменти з ними(перший - коли він грав з ними в гру, другий - наче він був, але я вже не пам'ятаю).

im sorry but there were so many scenes where carson was VERY submissive to the point where the only dom/sub things in this book were the collars. I think this book is mostly primal and there wasn’t much of a power exchange commonly seen in dom/sub relationships irl and in books. good plot and story but boo for literally getting all the kinks wrong

Sexy bookworm x plus size boudoir photographer

This is a spicy 🌶️ story focusing on the exploration of primal play between Mak (she newly discovered the kink) and Carson (he is well versed in kinkery).

My ABSOLUTE favorite thing about this book was the teddy bear 🧸 mmc!! I rarely see representation for plus sized mmc but I always love when characters embrace the size difference. Love the body positivity in the story! Poor Carson definitely had some self esteem issues which our girl Mak helped him overcome. He described himself as “if dad bods have a boss level, I’ve reached it” and I’m here for it!!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the dynamic as they were settling into the comfort of their relationship. Him GAMING. Her READING. I mean…they are one of us!!! It was really interesting to see them hesitant to settle into the comforts of the relationship 💕

It’s time to finally meet Carson. If you’ve read the rest of the series you know what to expect, a spicy love story, that’s just a bit cheesy. I was excited to go into this knowing what to expect but was surprised with what we got!

There’s so much going on with this story between the photography, relationship, and body positivity. I really enjoyed the photography and boudoir aspect of the book. It was fun to read about and experience! Then we have the spice which includes primal play and more. The connection between Mak & Carson was fun and you could feel the chemistry between the two. This man really broke every rule he had for her and it melted my heart a bit.

My favorite parts of the book have to be the body positivity and the conflict! Which I can’t believe!? I’m telling you I would be fine if there were no conflicts in books but I love how this one was handled. Now getting to the body positivity. I’ve read a few, not enough, books with plus size FMC but never a MMC! I absolutely loved reading about Carson and his struggles with his body along with how much Mak loved his body. It was wonderful to read about a male love interest with a different body type especially one similar to my fiancé! It made me love this book even more.

Overall this was a fun and wonderful edition to the next level series! Thank you for the ARC🩷

Flip (Book 2 in the series) wasn't really for me, and even though I loved Glitch with all my heart, I thought maybe the rest of this series wouldn't work for me.

I'm so glad to see I was wrong! Full RTC, but if you enjoy or want to read more Primal Play/ K!nk, pick this book up!

I liked both MCs, and I think this is one of the very few books I've read where the MMC is the one battling with body dysmorphia and self image issues. It felt refreshing, even if it was heartbreaking to read about his experiences.

Wow. I'm very impressed and surprised. Ever since I read The Four Leaf I've been trying to find a good book about primal kink that also has a considerable plot. And this was the book, but the story goes deeper than that, which is something I really enjoyed.

Carson is a boudoir photographer whom Mak has had a shoot scheduled for months now. She's into BDSM, specifically primal play, somewhat empowered by her talk with Carson when she tried to cancel her appointment with him, she finally decided to finish her profile on a kink app and find a Dom to fulfill her dirtiest fantasies. And find a Dom she did. I don't have to say he is Carson, right?

Up to this moment, I thought the book would be lighthearted and pure smut. I'm glad I was proved wrong. It is fast-paced, but the author made a terrific work on exploring the primal kink lifestyle and it was very enlightening.

And they're realistic about sex!!!! I seriously hate it when in some books they do things without any care or preparation (ahem, lube), or pretend that STIs and/or UTI don't exist. So kudos for that.

Carson is an amazing Dom, he's so thoughtful and kind to Mak that breaks my heart. It was a pleasant surprise how caring he was, and also vulnerable! And I absolutely loved that Carson and Mak are switches 😉

Mak is a fellow bookworm, so she's basically bringing our dreams to life. It was something very present in the book and found that I liked it a lot. Usually when I see that in books, it feels forced, but that wasn't the case here. The scene when she was reading while Carson played has warmed my heart.

The book also deals with some serious topics, such as body dysmorphia, especially because it comes from a man. That sure as fuck isn't a common subject in romance novels.

I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. And the primal play was really satisfying, if you ask me. I could've used a more in-depth development of Mak's character. I feel like I didn't learn enough about her. I don't even know her age (and Carson's for that matter), and this is definitely a pet peeve of mine 😅

This was a first experience for me. We rarely see men having this issue. I really wanted to just love on Carson, it helps that he's exactly my type 😂
Mak was a sweetheart, tiny in size but big in heart and personality....I loved her

Have you ever seen that meme and it’s like a long text message and dude is like “I’m an alpha wolf and I’m going to ravage you with my gigantic dick and my super sperm is going to penetrate you and fill you with my seed. You’re going to instantly go into heat and be pregnant with my alpha pups” no? Just me? Anyway, I feel like that was Carson. Honestly the first 70% of the book was pretty cringe for me.
Book went a little too meta having Mak be into smut books and be a bookstagrammer (OMG GUYS SHES JUST LIKE US 🙄)

What I did love and found so refreshing was Carson’s body issues. He’s a bigger dude- he’s got a belly and he hates it. Hates it so much he doesn’t like when people touch him. I wish book dealt more with that and having Mak build him up and cherish him than them running around in the forest pretending to be shifters.

The final book in this series has a semi-plot! And character depth, which is super sweet as the final gamer of the trio finds his girl and they heal together. Bless. It’s also the kinkiest of them all so do with that what you will.

I’m honestly on the fence with this one. On one hand, the scenes were hot as fuck, Carson and Mak have that instant connection, fall hard and fast (which normally makes me roll my eyes but honestly? It kinda worked here), and the banter is solid. Mak is funny as hell, and I adored her. Special shoutout to her bestie Leah, who I now desperately need to have her own book because that woman has main character energy.

However… (and it’s a pretty big however) Mak is new to the kink lifestyle while Carson is super experienced, and that gap led to some moments that felt a bit unrealistic, even for fiction. Like… Mak experiences her first ever subdrop and then is ready to try anal, which is a soft limit for her?? Girl, what?? My brain short-circuited a little.

It was nice to have the other Next Level characters pop up, but I wish we’d gotten a bit more of an update on their lives. It felt like a cameo rather than a reunion, y’know?

One thing I did appreciate was the way body dysmorphia was handled. It’s heavy in parts and might be a lot for some readers, but it felt raw, honest, and well done.

Also, I would’ve loved a little more depth to the primal play, there was potential there that didn’t fully get explored.

Overall? It’s an easy, spicy read that didn’t change my life but didn’t make me want to throw my Kindle, either. Solid 3 stars.

I enjoyed this book. Carson was not what I had been picturing and I feel that was the point. Mak was fun and I loved how they met and everything. I do want more from Leah. Desperately plssss. She seems fun.
I do wish we got to see more interactions with Mak and Ara. I just feel the 2 of them would be hilarious together.
I can’t wait to see little snippets of them continue !

This story was short, sweet, and to the point but still covers the heavy topic of body image issues and past experiences that have led to this.

I love this world and these people. This series is such a phenomenal mix of hot and dirty kink next to real people who are trying their hardest not to fall head over heels and while working on real life issues.

I loooove Carson. You need to listen to “Big Boy” by SZA while reading about this man chasing Mak through the woods behind his house. Whew. Those were really hot scenes.

Don’t get me started on the photo shoot either. What a tease Ms.Michaels is!

This book was funny too

“This was supposed to be a gift to my ex, and we broke up a while ago. No sense in coming now, you know? I’ve never met this woman before today and in less than twenty-four hours, this is our third encounter. It’s like the universe is trying to tell me something. Not that I believe in that Mercury swimming the Gatorade or Saturn spinning a little too far to the right

And Leah was the ultimate BFF too, of course.

Run, Run As Fast As You Can

Well this book packed in all kinds of
k!nk play I didn't even know I needed....there was all kinds of fun to be had.

I loved the overall theme of how people struggle with body image, be it too big or too small, too short or too tall. The fact that the bigger struggle was held by Carson was a great change of pace.

Sure this book was probably written to push some envelopes with reads with regard to the different play it explores but to me the bigger message was how we accept ourselves and each other, flaws and all. It isn't an easy, quick fix but for the right person it can be a work in progress, a journey.

And kudos to Briana for giving us a couple who both knew and stated flat out no marriage and no kids. In romance reads those are hard to find, I feel that so many quote HEA with those two things and honestly not everyone is looking for those.

I fell in love with the characters, honestly what’s not to love ?
The tropes were exactly what I was looking for, and the spice in here lit my whole body on fire.
I just loved the fact that the MMC is the one who had insecurities (although I hate the thought that anyone could feel insecure, but that’s what I liked about this book, it shows real life) and that the FMC is everything he needed.
Honestly, there is nothing I disliked about this book, I’m glad my bestie got me into reading Glitch so that I got to discover Click.

Ніби й гарна задумка - показати чоловічу уразливість, але щось мені не зайшло. Занадто сумбурно і місцями нелогічно. Забагато повторюваних моментів для новели. Я і з першого разу зрозуміла, що у головного героя порушено сприйняття власного тіла, не треба про це наголошувати у кожному розділі від нього.
БДСМ - взагалі ні до чого, і абсолютно не розкрито. Просто проскочили декілька моментів, але саме структура поведінки "дом-саб" ні про що.
