Well, it's an interesting way to defeat the dastardly enemy, if a little simplistic. Perhaps it does show an extremely advanced culture who have climbed the path of wisdom - all power to the intelligent species of Sunrise, but I can't see it working on Earth even if it is a nice idea. A sweet ending but I really wanted more about what happens next with the Confederation & what species live on the 3rd continent. Unfortunately, there is no next, but the author did write a prequel which I might try to get hold of one day.

The Chronicles tell a simple tale of good & evil; the characters have some interesting Gifts; there are several different sentient species living on this amazing planet, Sunrise. Very easy to read.

I enjoyed this series a lot more in middle school then as an adult. I mean, it's ok, and some of the concepts are very exciting to a teenager. But as an adult? Meh... there are so many other AMAZING fantasy chronicles. Still, it didn't irk me all that much and the ending was syrupy sweet.
