There is nothing I love more than books that make you think, and this book did just that. Igor Chirashnya has the ability to write perfectly grey characters. Mike, alongside characters developed later in the novel, are expressed in a way that one can both argue for and against their being. Chirashnya leads the reader along as we explore the possibility of a website that brings the news of tomorrow, and how we might react. Breaking News of Tomorrow is a fast paced political thriller that brings up an excellent question: Is it truly evil if we believe it’s for the good of humanity?
Breaking News of Tomorrow is a brilliant, fast-paced, political thriller novel that will take its readers on a wild and shocking journey from start to finish. The reader in Breaking News of Tomorrow will be introduced to the protagonist of the novel, Mike, an ordinary man leading an ordinary and quiet life. The FBI, Russian Intelligence, and a reporter all discover it too and Mike will have to decide whether to use the knowledge from the website or protect his family, and this book lovers is the short premise of the incredible Breaking News of Tomorrow!
Breaking News of Tomorrow is an incredible and special story that took my breath away on more than one occasion; the pacing of this story was wonderfully written and plotted so that I did not get bored at any given time. I always measure my likeness of a book on whether I find myself looking at the page number; if I do in fact do this I know that the novel is taking its toll… but Breaking News of Tomorrow was different. Never once did I find myself referring to the page number, and that is a sure sign that this book is a compelling piece of work that draws the reader in and captivates them to the end!
Igor Chirashnya writes with elegance despite his book being of a more dark nature! I loved reading Breaking News of Tomorrow and getting lost in Chirashnya’s literature, it felt so natural and such a breeze to read. As well as this, generally, with thriller/crime novels, I get bored after a period, but Chirashnya never bored me once, he kept me entertained from beginning to end and for that I admire him. Chirashnya’s beautiful, descriptive, flowing words too were stunning, and I believe he would be able to inspire these thoughts in you too if you choose to read this shocking novel! So do not miss out book lovers!
This book will keep you hooked till the end. It will leave the readers wanting more as it is packed with actions.
Let's dive into the story- Mike and Jenn were a bit of an odd couple; she was a beautiful five-ten, outgoing, and charming woman who quickly and naturally joined any social gathering, while Mike, looking unremarkable and taciturn, made great effort and worked hard to not be perceived as such. One night, Mike accidentally discovers a mysterious website named Breaking News of Tomorrow. At first he thought that it is a complete waste of time as the content was boring and lacked sense of humour yet he continued to scroll through the rest of the page in hope that the real reason for this site was concealed at the bottom. His eyes came upon on the last item, mentioning a neighborhood and an apartment complex with the same name as his own. Soon he realizes that the website seems to know the details of a string of murders happening in his neighborhood. Mike and Jenn are convinced that the website may be run by the killer himself and soon learns that the website is much more than it seems. Read this fabulous book to know further.
The plot is well-crafted, and the suspense is maintained throughout the story, keeping the reader guessing until the very end. It is a compelling book that guarantees to keep you interested all the way through.
The author's writing style is engaging, and the plot moves at a brisk pace, keeping the reader hooked from the first page to the last. The narration is top notch which makes the book a satisfying read.
This book's ability to evoke a sense of tension and mood is one of its most amazing features. Also I would like to mention that it is possible for a wide range of readers to understand the book because it is written in simple, understandable language.
Overall it is a captivating and thrilling read. I would like to tell all my fellow readers to give this book a try. I am sure you won’t be able to put down until you finish reading it!
What if there was an algorithm so sophisticated it could predict tomorrow down to who wins an election, a football match, to the utmost precision?
This is what a talented employee at an It multinational, who somehow never seems to realise his potential, stumbles upon with an obscure website that promises just that.
This mysterious website also predicts a series of murders within our hero's vicinity. But can he be instrumental in catching the killer before he strikes again?
The premise of this novel does not, however, stop there. Mike Eagleton is sure he can use the algorithms of this website to make a fortune on the stock exchange, and now the sky is the limit.
His partner, Russian - born Jenn, tries to warn him against the hubris that ensues, whilst reporter Rachel Sorrow dogs him, the surer he becomes that he alone is the solution to the world's biggest problems.
As far as the pacing goes, the middle of the story, which is quite long, does drag a little, though what can happen where the lust for more wealth and power can do to an individual and to those around him is nicely depicted. Things only really hot up in the last quarter section of the novel, and then the final events seem to get a little rushed, one or two things left hanging. Also, the identity of the original algorithm predictor is only introduced as an incidental figure at the end, where perhaps this could have been more integral to the whole plot
This does not matter to the trajectory taken by the central character, of course.
This science-fiction novel then, is not alone in exploring what might happen should an ordinary person end up with knowledge from that forbidden tree. That knowledge might not necessarily bring happiness.

The book has an intriguing premise - what would you do if you stumbled onto information about things that haven't happened yet? Sadly, the story is weighed down by variety of factors. In the acknowledgement section the author reveals that he is a first time author writing in his third language. It shows. The first few paragraphs are so littered with broken syntax, inconsistent POV, as well as haphazard tenses that I almost gave up.
But soldier on I did, holding out hope that the story might be strong enough for it to offset the issues outlined above. Alas, there is little or no character development - and minor and major characters flit in and out the main character's life without leaving much of an imprint.
The main character, Mike, is a rather self-effacing tech guy, who despite his timidity improbably lands two of the smartest and hottest women in the story, and, as in most pivotal moments in the story, there's not enough in the story for the reader to figure out why things happen as they do, or even why people are sufficiently motivated to make certain choices. And when he stumbles onto an information source that could give him immense power, the expected transition or transformation - to a hero or villain befitting the magnitude of power now in his possession - never really materializes. Instead the author hastily skips to the end. All in all, this could have been a passable or even a good yarn, if the author didn't go to often to the suspension-of-disbelief well, and had spent a bit of time crafting believable characters and situation. A bit more revision and the services of a god editor wouldn't have been such a bad idea.

An unusual book, but the resume grabbed my interest so I wanted to read it. Not the sort of thing I do read, I am not very keen on a surrealist plot (and this is certainly that) . Mike and Jenn live together and have just got engaged when Mike discovers a website with the news of tomorrow. Unfortunately the news is that a couple will get murdered. This book is written from different viewpoints and in 3 parts.
I enjoyed the first part, the predictions and what Mike did with them. Later the plot lost it's way for me and the characters who I had quite liked in part 1 lost their interaction and became boring . The business rather than the relationship took over and I started to wonder what was in it for the couple and the reporter. I did keep going and finished the book which turned from a dream into a nightmare. I am sure there was a subliminal message, but it passed me by to a greater extent . I imagine that the message is something to do with world politics and the role of the media and Russia ? A shame that the buoyency of the beginning of the book was lost because it felt promising .
The book is not long but it felt longer. I`m open to new authors and genres so I am glad I have read this book, may be you will get more out of it than I did .
The concept of this book intrigued me. A guy finds a website that shows him tomorrow’s news in advance. He does what most of us would do and uses it to make an obscene amount of money. However, he seems to lose himself somewhere along the way. His wife and friends grow distant and his entire being revolves around checking this website each day.
I really wanted to give this book 5 stars but I had a difficult time with the writing style. The author is writing in a language that is not his native tongue and, unfortunately, it shows. The characters’ speech is overly formal and stilted. Not grammatically incorrect but definitely not typical conversational English. He seems to expend a lot of effort into the various Russian characters names, though I have no idea if that is the norm for Russian names.
Ultimately I enjoyed this book and I’ll be watching for the sequel.

3.5 stars rounded up because the concept was exciting. Thanks to BookSirens for an ARC of this book!
I love the idea of information about the future, and I was fascinated by the way this knowledge contributed to character development throughout the book - it was really well done. There were parts of the storyline that seemed a little too convoluted, and I am a little irked by the overall lack of resolution. I want to know the whys and the hows!
When reading this book, I commented to my partner that it felt 'very ESL' - that is to say, the grammar was very stiff and a sometimes jarringly unnatural, though not incorrect. At the end, the author notes that English is actually their third language, so props to them for writing an entire novel in it! If you can get past a disconcerting lack of contractions, this book was a lot of fun and worth a read.
Matt is a pretty bland guy, but likable enough. He and his girlfriend Jenn are just living their lives when he finds a site called "Breaking News of Tomorrow". He and Jenn quickly become wrapped up in following the site when it appears a serial killer is on the loose.
This book was amazing at the beginning. Then the author completely did a 180 with Matt. The author does nothing to establish why this happened other than the fact that a couple of gossipy neighbors were annoyed that Matt didn't want to entertain their drama. The whole middle of the book gets bogged down with Russian spies & doesn't offer us any real insight into Matt's motivation. The book stops. I would say that it ends, but, no. It doesn't.
This is a really cool concept book from @igorchirashnya Igor is a bit of a friend. He's a fencing coach and runs a newsletter that is a must-read among the fencing community. Now, back to the book. The main character in this book, Mike, is a regular working man. He has a girlfriend, Jenn, and a boring job. And then, he discovers a site that is delivering the news of tomorrow. He can solve crimes. He can manipulate the market. There is so much he can do to leverage future knowledge to his gain. This thriller is complicated by an FBI agent who is closely watching Mike. It's also complicated by how Mike changes with all of his dealings. This is a quick, page-turner of a book.
Breaking News of Tomorrow was an exciting read that was truly unforgettable. The characters drew me in and did not let go, like a fish caught on Leland’s fishing rod. Igor Chirashnya’s writing style was enjoyable and I know now that this is the first book in a trilogy! I highly recommend reading this story if you’re looking for something new, exciting, and captivating - it’ll definitely surprise you. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming books in this series – I will be sure to be there when they come out!

"The Breaking News of Tomorrow" is a well-written book with an impressive and captivating plot that's sure to keep readers engaged throughout.
This was a very good book with a fresh idea. I hate books that you know the end because you read something like it before. Not the case with this one. Loved it, I was afraid to read to the end scared about what would happen. Good reading, looking for more from this author.
I was certainly captivated by this novel. I was quite surprised page after page, chapter after chapter of the twists and turns I did not expect. I would definitely recommend this book and author.
