Four Fears Behind the Mirror is the kind of book you sit down with for a few chapters… and suddenly you realize you’ve read half the night away. Davina is such a refreshing character flawed, funny, determined, and real. The way Kaylie Hunter balances mystery, paranormal suspense, humor, and genuine heart is just brilliant. Every case Davina and Olivia dive into pulls you deeper into their world, and the community around them feels so alive.
This installment had me fully hooked from the hit-and-run mystery to the eerie hoarder house presence and the twists kept me guessing right until the end. It’s smart, entertaining, and beautifully written. Fans of psychic crime thrillers will absolutely love this book.
This book was a little harder to complete. I really like the characters and the story of the small town, but I feel like it left out so much detail about the house and the haunting. It took a long time to get to the point of the story and then it just ended boom haunting fixed, the end. I could be wrong and everything be explained in the next book but even so this was a slow read.
Once again Ms Hunter has kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t get enough of Davina Ravines Books. She has so many things going on with Davina and friend Olivia you never know what will happen next. Her characters draw you in. I will be waiting for the next adventure in this series. I can’t wait!!
I really enjoy this series. For me it’s a cross between Supernatural & The Scooby Gang. This series has a bit of everything I love…mystery, humor, snark, paranormal, friendship and such a fast plot. I was so excited to see book 4 put sms devoured quickly. Poor Davina I sure wish she could get a little break. Can’t wait for more. Olivia cracks me up. Such a solid friendship.
I thought this was very intriguing with each person helping out. The town seems to be either close or not depending on the weather. Davina has things going on in her life that surrounds the good people in her life. I admire her tenacity to stick her neck out regardless of what happens to her.
This is such a great ensemble cast of characters. Davina may be the "main" but this series works so well with all the other characters. The story just flows so effortlessly. Along with the bit of paranormal the humor is perfectly infused throughout making it all the more enjoyable.
I adore this story. It had me laughing, crying and very happy. There is an unjust arrest, a speed chase to get the bad guys, a confrontation with biker club, an evil spirit, and a new expanded cleaning venture. Happy reading!
