Really good messaging!

This book was a rollercoaster ride to a certain degree. I was sold after seeing its cover (which I think is a beautiful creation) and after seeing it on kindle unlimited lists. It is a story about finding love after heartbreak, about reclaiming one's sense of self and ultimately about choices. It's an emotional adventure about friends, lovers and exes and the roles they all can play.

Kerrington has had her share of bad romances. Especially after the last guy she dated ended up being a liar and a cheater. She's driven in her career as a mortgage loan officer but in love; she's hardly "there". When she runs into Joaquin, a charismatic personal trainer, she is instantly attracted to him and vice versa. They hit it off immediately, giving life to the phrase, "love at first sight". As they begin to date and explore one another, Kerrington falls deeper and deeper in love and it begins to feel like a fairy tale romance. But when someone from Joaquin's past threatens to tear them apart, Kerrington finds herself a "code red" and leans on her friends and a new love interest to get over Joaquin. It's a topsy turvy love rollercoaster from there on our as Kerrington is forced to choose between herself and her lovers as she goes on a journey of self-discovery.

Jonesing started off slow but picked up midway as I begin to familiarize myself with the author's style. I had some issues with formatting and at times even understanding who was speaking. Overall though it is a great story with a great message. I enjoyed it.

I love Love

I thought I knew where this was going and i was pleasantly surprised to see that I was wrong. I wish there was a deeper relationship building portion but I understand the endgame. I love reading about black women being courted in love and luxury. One thing I look forward to in a book is feeling and this book definitely made me feel some things. I was screaming during the basketball game !!! Lindsey was deff my favorite character & I would love to see her get a happy ending.
