Roxanne is a USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author of forty romantic suspense, mystery, and heart-warming, emotionally charged relationship novels in the clean & wholesome, as well as inspirational romance genres.

She got her first horse at the tender age of six and grew up riding bareback with wild abandon throughout her small Minnesota town year-round. It was like giving a child car keys!

She showed horses for many years, and later, she and her husband raised quarter horses and thoroughbreds until their kids came along.

She's living her childhood dream, living on an acreage in the country with her husband, three horses (all beloved elderly pasture ornaments, now), a golden retriever, a Mountain Cur rescue, and six fluffy barn cats. It's a much smaller menagerie than when their three kids were still at home!

Ranches, animals, and small-town life frequently find their way into her books.

Silent Deception by Roxanne Rustand
Southwest Peril Series Book Three
Ryan Gallagher had left Homestead, Texas, fifteen years ago after the woman he loved dumped him, and he joined the military. Leaving Four Aces ranch and his dictator-like father behind. An accident has him back in Homestead until he can return to his post. He had no idea the woman who hurt him so long ago also returned home.
Kristin Cantrell and her son, Cody, have their own place now. Thanks to a program started by the town to bring younger families in. Figures that on her first day at the clinic as a physician’s assistant, her first patient is Clint Gallagher, and worse, his son Ryan. And, her great-aunt put a bug in her ear that she believed Kristin’s dad was run off the road—murdered—not an accident.
The Gallagher family has many issues to work out. And hidden issues they never realized. Where Kristin’s dad, Nate, had been accused of stealing from them…it goes much deeper. And dangerous. Page-turning, as always.

Great follow up to book 1!

Beth leaves a bad marriage to go home to a place where ppl think her dad stole from a rich ranger/Senator, one who holds power and a grudge. Beth is determined to clear her dad's name, and to do so means dealing with the one man she has always loved, but had to run away from, after a threat from the senator, his father. Can things fall into place, find the truth to clear her father's name, even tho he died already suspiciously? Maybe find her old beau still cares for her too? A great story

Not sure why this was billed as romantic suspense when there were about two chapters tops of suspense. Maybe at a stretch it might be a cozy mystery but there aren't many clues. It's solidly a contemporary romance story and I wish it had been billed as such instead of me hoping for a thriller along the caliber of the previous book in the series, which really was an honest to goodness nail biter.

I did enjoy the story although straight romance isn't my preference, and the ending was too abrupt to savor much.

Homestead, Texas—a world of small town old loves and hidden crimes. This is another romantic suspense novel from Roxanne Rustand that kept me up past bedtime!

Kristen and Ryan have a history, and so do their fathers. However, as past griefs battle with serious health issues, we can’t help but root for healing of relationships and resolution of criminal investigations.

This is a story of coming home, of restored relationships—of the impact of greed and death.

Kris and Ryan

His Stubborn Ruthless Father tore them apart many many many years ago. My heart just broke as I read this book. It could have happened to anyone with the bully fathers etc. Love, true love, can overcome most anything. Don’t try to put it down because you can’t. Enjoy.

Good clean romantic suspense novel

The novel was a good read with a few twists in the narrative to make it exciting. Love deferred can be bitter sweet, however all is well that ends well. Recommended
