How does a life spiral out of control in twenty-four hours?
One day, I’m living a simple solitary life as a hacker who blackmails creeps. The next, I’m running for my life from the Russian mafia. Now, I’m being hauled out of a Vegas casino by another group of intimidating men. They claim to be casino security, but their lies don’t fool me. I almost break free from them when their car door suddenly opens and ' America’s Most Wanted ’ steps out. One glance at his scarred, tatted body, and I know there’s no turning back.
These men insist they’re holding me captive for my protection, but their actions leave me questioning their true motives. They believe they're saving me, when I might be the only one who can save them .
Seven – the charismatic, witty charmer with ocean-green eyes, endless tattoos hidden beneath tailored suits, and a drool-worthy body. He’s incredibly intelligent and could be my perfect partner. If I can sway him over to my side.
Kit – a massive, real-life Viking with long, blonde hair, icy-blue eyes, and a golden heart. He’s a gentle giant, and the only morally upright member of our group. If my world implodes, Kit is the one who can put me back together.
And Vulcan – What can I say? A fearsome, scarred man shaped by a lifetime of physical and emotional abuse. From the moment we meet, we’re physically drawn to each other like magnets. He awakens something in me I never knew existed. Despite warnings from the others about his dangerous nature, I can’t stay away.
Russian Roulette is an adult steamy romance with high heat where the girl will end up with multiple love interests. This book contains romantic suspense themes. This book does NOT contain cheating, OW drama or MM because the men fall hard and fast for only the girl. All characters are in their twenties. This is the first book in the ongoing series, “Sin City Kings” and ends in a cliffhanger.
Heather Carmel is a quirky, fun-loving contemporary reverse harem author. She spends most of her time writing at the beach with her toes in the sand and a cold drink in her hand.
Heather loves to hear from her readers. She can be contacted by email: authorheathercarmel@gmail.com
I gotta be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of this one. Sometimes I struggle with reverse harem reads - looks like I'm struggling again!
This book is about Jade. She's a genius hacker who tries to hack into the Russian mafia. She gets caught, of course, and captured. She ends up jumping into the ocean to get away from them. She somehow makes it to a casino in Las Vegas in the hopes she could find someone to help here. That's where she meets Seven. She eventually meets the other guys, and they all try to protect her.
I... didn't like this. I wasn't a fan of the heroine or half of the guys. The story was okay, albeit boring. I found myself skimming a lot. Will I read the next book? Probably not. I'm just not a fan of this author's writing.
SAFETY: Virgin/celibate?: no virgins OM/OW?: no Cheating/sharing?: reverse harem so there's sharing HEA? cliffhanger
When I read a teaser from this book I knew this would be a book I would enjoy reading. The story is something new, interesting and I dare to say unique. Usually in why choose books everyone is okay with sharing right away but here? Here I will enjoy the slow-burn relationship building. But don’t worry the smutty scenes are real 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (especially one of them got my heart racing). Even though the book started with a 💥, don’t expect an action packed book with villains and the usual things. Because the book is a slow-burn in “storytelling” as well. In the first book almost everything is about our sassy as hell FMC getting to know the guys and learning how not to be a loner and how to trust. The guys, even though they got each other, learn to let someone new in as well. We get some glimpse into what the plot will be, but not much. It can be frustrating but actually really refreshing. I usually like every future member of a harem but here? I’m not sure. I think Seven is selfish and self-absorbed and some of his comments? Just no… But I’m willing to give him a second chance. Then we have Vulcan, he is bad sh!t crazy but he would do anything for his loved ones and I just love him. Last we have Kit, the knight in shining armor type of a guy. He is protective and wants to do right by everyone. I’m really curious to where this will lead to and how it will pan out, because the story is really unique for me, not only with the plot, the guys' professions etc. but also with how it’s written. Even the cliffhanger is not the usual type, but still very good and it left me wanting more right away. Because holy hell I need them to be okay 🥺 I think the author deserves 👏👏👏 for this book. Especially if it’s her debut, because apart from all the things I said I have to say some “more experienced” authors should take an example of her work and how good her first book was edited. Now English is not my first language but I’m pretty fluent in it and I can detect plot holes, errors etc. and I haven’t found any obvious ones here.
3.5⭐️ -1⭐️ for the lack of scenes with the 4 of them, it was always 1 men with her and forgot about the 2 others… -0.5⭐️this one is my bad, I didn’t see that it wasn’t a standalone when I was searching for one…
This was alright! A pretty quick read and pretty good spice, but plot wise this was all over the place and kinda unclear. It took until like 2/3 of the way through to kinda get to the point of the book and enough backstory AND THE SEQUEL ISN’T EVEN PUBLISHED. Let’s see if I’ll still be interested enough to finish this.
4.5 ⭐s What a roller-coaster ride that ends on a cliffhanger!
Jill Miller, a computer coder and hacker, has been captured by the Russian Mafia. On a ship in the midst of rough seas and howling winds she makes her escape by diving overboard. Alone in the middle of nowhere beneath a starless sky and with hypothermia setting in she spots a fishing boat and is saved.
She next goes to Vegas to search for a Ukrainian woman named Natasha who stole something from the Russians. Maybe Natasha can help her figure out what is going on. Maybe her coding skills and hooking up with Natasha can lead to something big. That is if it doesn't get her killed first...
While at a casino hoping that Natasha will show, Jade meets Seven. When he asks her name she tells him she's Jade Stone.
Seven is a former street hustler who is now an illusionist with a danger filled act at the casino. His boss, Mr. Giovanni, is the owner of the Imperial Hotel and Casino along with several other casinos in town and the head of the Vegas Mafia. After being called into the office and being told to make his show family friendly, he overhears a phone conversation and realizes his boss is hunting for a young woman. He thinks it's Jade. (But could it be Natasha?)
Seven along with his driver/bodyguard, Leroy, and his friends, Kit and Vulcan, they kidnap Jade. All 4 of the men know how dangerous and vicious Mr. Giovanni is. Kit works for him preforming an exotic animal act with tigers. Vulcan generally does whatever tasks Mr. Giovanni assigns, think of him as muscle for the boss. Mr. G. cultivates and "collects" people. Once he gets his hooks into you, it's impossible to get away. (Here's hoping Seven, Kit and Vulcan will be successful in doing so.)
Although they really are trying to keep her safe, Jade, a former foster care child, has never had anyone ever care for her well-being before. As a result, she keeps running off from them.
The 4 men are a tight unit, but especially Seven, Kit and Vulcan. All 3 have a history of terrible childhoods, like her. A big problem is that all 3 of them are drawn to Jade. She's equally drawn to them. She knows she can't and won't choose just one of them. She's afraid she'll shatter their bond so it's another reason to leave.
This book ends as Jade finds Natasha and the men find the Russian Mafia man who tried to kill Jade aboard the ship. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is the 1st book in the Sin City Kings series featuring the fast-paced steamy suspenseful RH between Kit,Seven,Vulcan and Jade. Jade is a computer hacker who is taken prisoner by the Russian Mafia they're keeping her on a ship. Jade decides to get away to escape off the boat from the Russians by jumping overboard in howling winds and rough seas . After a fishing boat saves her Jade goes to Vegas looking for Natasha a Ukrainian woman who took something from the Russians. Jade is at a casino hoping that Natasha is going to show up when she meets Seven. Seven works as an illusionist he does a danger filled act at the hotel his boss Mr. Giovanni is the head of the Vegas Mafia and he owns several hotels and casino's in town. Seven overhears a conversation that his boss was having on the phone and he realizes that he's looking for a woman who sounds like Jade. Seven,Leroy his bodyguard/driver,Kit,and Vulcan all get together and they kidnap Jade before Mr. Giovanni can get to her because they know how vicious he is. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this fast-paced steamy suspenseful RH to see what happens and this book does end on a cliffhanger so we have to wait for the next book to see what's going to happen with Jade and her men.

Jade the female MC gets caught hacking into the Russian Mob, after an almost death experience she in on the hunt to find a person who is at the center of it all. However she finds her self in more trouble. 3 men think she’s in danger and try to protect her but what will be the cost of there protection?
Seven, Kit, and Vulcan all come from lonely/troubled past which led them to Vegas and in the end becoming friends. They take in Jade to protect but when they all fall for her, how far will they go to protect her?
The story was intriguing, it was a slow paced but did keep you wanting to find out what happens. it did feel some parts were a little repetitive like she couldn’t move forward from them “kidnapping” her. The character building is also slow pace which is fine, it allows for discovery to happen further on in the series. But am glad that the characters started to open up towards the end.
Overall I truly enjoyed the sort and cannot wait to see what happens next. When Jades POV is ended we are left with a cliffhanger on her part. Then when the boys try to find her we are left with another cliffhanger. At the end we see the side of Vulcan that Kit and Seven discus through the book. But what happens??? Is the question we are left with..
I have to say that this is the most non-reverse harem that there ever was. It’s usually Jade and one of the guys, not them as a collective. Did I also mention that there are so many TSTL moments that after a while I just went with the flow as it never made any sense.
I kept hoping that things would make sense, and it just never did. The plot and I say the term loosely was so all over the place you needed a map and a step by step instruction manual to figure out where it was going.
With this many sausages in the mix not once was birth control or protection mentioned. It was a free for. The scene with the gun wrong in so many ways. When a gun is fired it gets hot and putting it where it was put would cause so many problems for the recipient. Not to mention all of the gun powder residue not something you want in delicate areas of the female anatomy.
I started treating this as a spoof after a while it was the only way I could keep reading and then to find out it was part of a larger story that was going to span over three books was disappointing.
It wasn’t the worse book that I have read and it wasn’t the best.

A female hacker, with three broken hotties, trying to stay one step ahead of the mafia - this may not be an original plot but I was hooked. I liked the easy to read writing style, character & relationship development between Jade and Kit, Seven and Vulcan. The book ended on a great cliffhanger and I'm eagerly seeking out the next in series to see how they all get together to defeat the bad guys.
“Where have you been all my life?” she asks, propping her head up to gaze deep into my eyes. “I’m serious.” Time crashes to a stop as we gaze at each other, both of us realizing the truth. We’ve both been charging recklessly toward this one moment our whole lives. I thread my fingers through her hair and pull her lips down to mine. “I don’t know, sweetheart. I’ve been lost for the longest time. I’m here now, though, and I’m not leaving.”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
I’m mad. I’m mad that I read this book. I’m mad that I thought it would get better. And I’m mad that despite how much I disliked it I’m still giving it 3 stars because it made me laugh. A lot. But the thing is… ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY. The number of times I screamed at this book bc a character said or did something that was absolutely idiotic and made zero sense is OUTSTANDING. There was essentially 0 plot until 85 percent of the way in and then it tried to rush everything all at once. Also. WHY DOES SHE SHOWER SO MUCH?!? Istfg every two seconds this girl is “freshening up”. None of the character motives make any sense and the entire idea that somehow these 3/4 IDIOTS can somehow “protect” her makes even LESS sense. Seriously, it’s a wonder they have survived as long as they have with their collective 1 brain cell. The only character who is toy insufferable is Kit and that’s saying something. Genuinely I can’t believe I wasted my time reading this book. Maybe it’s someone else’s cup of tea but it’s certainly not mine.
Start if the Sin City Kings series Jade gets herself caught hacking into the Russian Mob system, after an almost death experience she in on the hunt to find a person who is at the center of it all. However, she finds herself in more trouble. 3 men think she’s in danger and in of their protection but she is thinking at what cost everyone is after her for something and offer to do something for her for something in return or that is what she is use to. Seven, Kit, and Vulcan all come from a troubled past pathed with loneliness which led them to Vegas and sticking together as friends. They take in Jade to protect her with good intentions but you know what the same about good intentions they can run astray rather quickly but they never imagined falling for her, how far will they go to protect her, will they keep her safe, will they keep her hidden from the Russians, will she fall as hard for them as they have fallen for here, will they be honest with one another about their feelings, and where are they headed we are waiting for the next book?

OMG! Wow, I was absolutely astounded reading this book, I was so mesmerised by this story and the characters were really captivating. This book was a page turner for me I was riveted to my seat, there is not a dull moment, unfortunately it end on a cliffhanger. I was glad I had both books so I read one straight after the other, I didn't have to wait long after that cliffhanger. These characters Jade, Kit, Seven and Vulcan then you have the Limousine driver Leyroy he is a bodyguard aswell. There was action, suspense, danger, twist and turns, threats, survival, intense blackmail, revenge, betrayal, secrets, lies, friendship. Jade was on the run she slowly met the guys, Kit, Seven and Vulcan and as she learns the chemistry is fiery hot, and the men will protect her with their life.

Jade(Jill) was kidnapped by Russians who believe she has something of theirs. She is able to escape by diving into the ocean and swim back to safety. Now she is in Vegas looking for Natasha and trying to avoid the Russians. While hiding not very well in the casino, she is being watched by Seven a performer at the casino. Now Seven overhears a conversation on the phone with his boss who is in the mafia and he thinks it’s about Jade. So Seven and his three friends decide to take Jade and hide her away so that she won’t be killed. Jade doesn’t really trust anyone and she keeps trying to run them off or get away from them. This book moved very slowly at the beginning and it’s not until later does it get very interesting. This is definitely a slow burn reverse harem. This book ends in a cliffhanger so be prepared to read the next book to find out what happens to everyone.
5 Stars for Russian Roulette a first time read by author Heather Carmel
This is Book One of Sin City Kings
I loved everything about this story - great characters & it is a page turner.
Jade is very much playing Russian Roulette between the Russians and Italian mafia. I love that she is a very strong , independent and resourceful heroine.
Seven, Kit and Vulcan are wrapped up in the Italian mafia with the question being should they protect Jade or see if what use she will be to further their end of things…
I loved the interaction between the guys and Jade.
So good - can’t wait to dive into Book 2!
Thumbs way up - highly recommend!

Jade is on the run from the Russian mafia and heads to Las Vegas looking for someone. While in the casino, Seven notices that she looks like she is up to no good and then overhears his boss talking about a girl he is looking for. Seven and his buddies, Vulcan and Kit, kidnap her in order to have something on their boss. Once they get to know her feelings change and they want to protect her. The truth of why she is in Vegas finally comes out and she continues to look for a woman who has the key to what she needs. Lots of action, some funny parts and tons of steam make this an interesting read. It ends on a major cliffhanger though so be prepared to pick up the next in series.

I didn't love it. There was danger and some cool subplots, but Jades interactions with the men throughout the book were choppy and seemed very 180. Especially in the beginning. There was some fight and then little resisting within the same paragraph. There was a lot of tell don't show moments in the writing, and it would have been better without the threats eith zero follow through. She was not in danger from the men ever once, but the writing kept trying to imply that her life was in danger from them. Even from kit who was cinnamon roll 95% of the time. I think some of the writing just needed more editing for the flip-flopping judgments.
But that is just my opinion, and my opinion should not hold much weight for anyone else wanting to read it.

Oh my goodness, this book was 🔥🔥❤️🔥. Jade, a hacker has gotten herself into trouble with the Russian mob, and now is looking for big cash in. Seven, Vulcan, and Kit are like brothers and do everything together. When Jade catches Seven’s eye and concern, he enlists his friends to kidnap her in the hopes of keeping her safe. Throughout this book our four main characters grow close as they learn more about each other and man oh man there is plenty of steam. Jade however is not on to be deterred or held captive, so our boys have their hands full. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Oh wow …. What a cliffhanger this book ends with. It’s not enough that Jade decides to ignore the guys … but WTH Vulcan???
This book has a LOT….
Funny, independent, strong, genius level smart but no common sense FMC Jade. I mean one chick manages to get in trouble with the 2 most dangerous groups.
Then she finds …or they find her.. 🥵 hunky men … Seven, Kit and Vulcan. All with secrets of their own.
Slow burn RH with some intense chemistry… three men who easily fall into the touch her and unalive mindset. Jade is a handful for sure ….

This is a slow to heat up book but then it’s only the first volume of this series. Nothing massively wrong but I did find some things being glossed over like Jade’s computer stuff and I know that it’s fiction but when things are more realistic then the unrealistic is easier to accept. I also don’t like cliffhangers and there is a warning that there is one but come on! Right on the last page and what it is. Felt a bit cheap like it was done only to get people to read the next one. If your writing is good then they don’t need things like this to get them to want to read more.
—>>> The characters as they developed in this RH storyline kept me invested as we follow “Jade” on her journey from one incredible feat of survival to her following the crumbs to Vegas where she is on the hunt for the one person she is certain she needs to contact. She already has one nasty group after her, what’s another one to add to the list. That is only the beginning of the unfortunate events that happens, though, but she meets Seven, Kit, and Vulcan along the way, and she has connections with them. If only she can stop running away from them, right towards more trouble it seems! Looking forward to the next installment to see what happens next!
What!? I knew there was going to be a cliffy, but I wasn’t quite prepared for that one. This was a fantastic read that was really hard to put down. I absolutely loved the characters: we got the psycho, the teddy bear and the charmer. All great well rounded guys and the FMC is fantastic as well. The spice is on fire and I love how all in the guys are. I can’t wait for the next book. It’s going to be so good. I want to see how all the relationships grows and how the scheme plays out. I highly recommend this book!
3.5 Stars - Jade is in the run after escaping her death from the Russian mob, she is in Las Vegas looking for clues for a possible ally. Seven overhears his shady boss looking for Jade so he calls his friends to help get her before his boss does. Seven, Kit and Vulcan was surprised when they all start to fall for her and she them as the guys try to protect her. The men are pretty normal with some difficult backgrounds and Jade is a pretty tough cookie. The book was pretty interesting.

Needs a little more romance and no rivalry between the guys.
Also, I'm not really into several books that flow into each other unless they are in a box set so they can be read all at once.
There isn't enough drama to even out the suspense part and these guys seem to have more trouble than "Jade" does. Only Kit is worth reading about in my mind, he's the kind of gentle giant I wouldn't mind having toss me over his shoulder.

A good story line This is a new author for me, but I like the sound of Sin City King series, so thought I’d give it a go. I’ve got to say I really liked the storyline. I thought it was strong but I kept losing interest. I thought it was a real slow burn And I must’ve put the book down 10 times. I’m glad I finished it but I had to give it a 3.5 because I think the story has got legs. I think it’s really gonna go somewhere we will see.

Jade/Jill was grabbed by the Russians, but she manages to escape from the boat, leaving them to think she is dead. She heads to Las Vegas to try and track down the woman that she thinks the Russians are after, but she is grabbed by Seven, Kit, Vulcan and Leroy, who are trying to protect her from the mob boss who runs Las Vegas. Jade is attracted to all four men, but can they protect Jade?
This book finishes with a cliffhanger.

This was a reverse harem, which I would totally recommend for someone looking for a twisted romance.
I absolutely adored the following of a hacker named Jade, who is attempting to run away from the Russian mafia, whilst hiding her own secrets.. When she gets kidnapped by 3 men, what will happen?
This was an absolutely page-turning novel and I absolutely loved it. The characters all had their very unique personalities like Seven and his magic tricks, Kit and his animals and Vulcan and his isolated persona. I can't find a reason to not love this and would say it is definitely worth the read.
This is apart of what I believe is a trilogy and I cannot wait to read the rest after this amazing cliffhanger.
