Daisy Dexter Dobbs turns up the heat with this sexy, spicy-hot screwball romantic comedy! After a grueling eighteen months of painstaking work and resolve, Mindy von Grettle is a hundred pounds lighter. The revamped stunner is so ready to exact revenge on her abusive, cheating ex she can taste it. Regrettably, the SOB drops dead of a heart attack, in the act of cheating on his new wife, robbing Mindy of her well-deserved retribution. Paying her final disrespects at the funeral home, she meets a man so breathtaking she's half-tempted to jump his bones right there in the mortuary. Unfortunately, once Mindy discovers vintner Archer Priest's connection to the she-devil she caught in bed with her husband, Archer is taboo. The man responsible for helping Mindy's transformation from frump to fabulous, however, has other ideas. Her meddlesome boss and best friend, Leo, concocts a series of cringeworthy attempts at playing matchmaker, resulting in some hot, steamy, spicy consequences, as well as mortifying mishaps, misunderstandings, and an embarrassing masquerade. Avowed chocoholic Mindy handles her upside-down life with as much grace and aplomb as possible...by attempting chocolatcide. This steamy, spicy, laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy is a full-length standalone novel brimming with love, snappy banter, sexy inventive scenes that sizzle, and plenty of naughty words. Guaranteed happily ever after with no cliffhanger. A previous version of this novel was published as Absolutely Not. It's been fully updated and rewritten.
Born storyteller Daisy Dexter Dobbs wrote her first book when she was five, satisfying her inner ham by reading it aloud, using a toilet plunger as a microphone. Next to the big red checkmark she earned each year on her report cards, Daisy’s teachers noted: “Daydreams too much!”
Today, Daisy transforms her daydreams into heartfelt contemporary romance and laugh out loud romcoms with varying degrees of spice, mingled with touches of magic and fantasy. She’s easily able to write swoon-worthy heroes, tales of strong friendships, complex family dynamics, and heart-satisfying romance because she’s lived it, either in reality or inside her tiny brain.
A writer, artist, and crafter, Daisy happily dabbles in the fine art of creative eccentricity in the Pacific Northwest where she lives with her husband (the inspiration for every hero she creates), and their adorable rescue dog, Lollipop. Happily, Daisy no longer feels the need to use a toilet plunger as a microphone when entertaining.
This is not one of Ms. Dobb's "Heartwish" books. This is a bodice ripper story. Parts of it, Mindy's dreams, were so over the top bad and cheesy that they were great and hilarious! Takes true talent to do this.
Mindy (Mindora) Klopenshaw had been the regional top listing sales person four months in a row for Diamond Real Estate. This was before she met and married Edward von Grettle, AKA Edward-the-tiny-cocked or Thumbkin. She also had been fit and slender with well-proportioned weight. Edward had to be the sole bread winner. She was forced to quit her job and stay at home where she became more and more isolated from everyone other than him. She turned to food and soon was 300 pounds which disgusted him. Moby Dick, Whale and Hedgehog were some of his favorite names to call her. He added physical abuse to his mental abuse of her.
She finally decided to take classes to become a travel agent. One night she returned home early when her class was canceled and found Edward in bed with Britney the Bitch, one of his sales agents. She told them to get out before she called the police and the press to relate the tale of the branch manager and his co-worker... She also filed for divorce.
She's now lost weight, but before she could confront Edward, the sonuvabitch died of a heart attack in the bed of his latest mistress leaving behind his widow, Britney the Bitch.
At Edward's wake, where she went to spit on his corpse, she meets a man. A very hot, handsome man with chocolate colored eyes. His name is Archer Priest. Too bad he's Britney's brother.
Leo Parker, her best friend and boss at Persimmon Travel agency is trying to set her up with dates. He thinks of himself as a matchmaker with psychic abilities. Too bad most of the guys he tries to set her up with are gay like him. He's been having visions of her perfect man. He believes that man is Archer Priest. Even if Archer has shown her the best sex she's ever had, he's still Britney's brother and nothing can come of it...
To quote the famous movie line, "Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride." So, sit back, relax and enjoy! And if Leo tells you, "Trust me." Be afraid, be very, very afraid!

This was certainly different than what I had expected! The book was funny and ornery and many parts so relatable that I just settled right in and enjoyed every single page! I shared Mindy von Grettle’s crushing disappointment after 18 months of grueling work (exercise, shudder!) to remove the 100 pounds her husband Edward was responsible for putting there by his controlling actions, then going to show him her now shapely body, and finding he dropped dead without seeing the stunning female that was no longer his wife. That “eat your heart out” moment of victory never came. He cheated her once again.
Mindy stopped by the funeral home and with confidence traded snarky remarks with the bimbo Edward cheated on her with and married. As she walked away from Britney, definitely the winner of the snark tossing, she saw a very handsome man. He even smelled good! But if he turned out to be one of Britney’s friends here, she would definitely walk away! He introduced himself as Archer and said he and Britney are… She was walking away before he said another word about his relationship. She most definitely would not share another man with Britney!
A trip to the chocolate bakery for one little goodie to calm her down turned into a luxury sized box of everything she could see in the glass cases. And it didn’t even make it home as she ripped open the box in the car and devoured the contents. Boss and best friend Leo Parker is ready to step in and play matchmaker, and the reader will be laughing or cringing at the results. He told her he has found the “perfect man” for Mindy – Archer Priest, Britney’s brother! You won’t want to miss this story. Will Mindy get her act together before she destroys her 18 months of determination and progress? Will she find the love of her life and happiness at last? Don't even Think about it is a stand alone story. Our protagonist, Mindora von Gretel, was in an abusive marriage for 10 years. Catching him cheating became her ticket to freedom. Mindy attends her ex-husband's wake and she's not too happy he croaked before she could exact her own revenge. She runs into a drool worthy man named Archer, but before they can get acquainted, Mindy's nemesis, Britney, widow of Mindy's ex, appears. And the shenanigans begin.
This story was ridiculous with the antics of Leo and Mindy. Leo is Mindy's boss, mentor and friend who happens to be openly gay unless his cousin is around. The mess they get into is laughable. The ending was weird and was overly done so I found myself skimming. It was like a weird sex marathon. I liked the pov changes because they were insightful to the characters. The writing was okay and the pacing was good until the end. This is a ridiculously comedic read. Think, I love Lucy meets Dating Reality TV. I'm undecided between 2.5 and 3 stars.

Mindy is an absolute hoot, after being robbed of the chance to get back at her ex husband after losing a ton of weight she falls for the witch her husband cheated with and married but tries everything to deny the attraction. Thankfully she has Leo her boss and weight loss buddy to scheme on ways for Mindy and Archer to meet up causing plenty of flustering, awkward moment as well as some sweet and funny ones ie the picnic where she talks about wet and dry wine! Be ready to fan yourself with some of the spice, wipe your eyes with the humor as well as touching moments and cheer for things to work between Mindy and Archer no matter who his sister is!!!.

Steamy book by Daisy Dexter Dobbs. Mindy has spent the last eighteen months dropping several pounds to get mental revenge against her ex, but only to have him die before she can show off. Archer is a “drop dead gorgeous” man that Mindy bumped into at her exes wake. Later she discovers that he is the brother of her archenemy. Even though they are extremely attracted to each other, Mindy still can’t get past him being Brittany’s brother. Leo tries several times to get them together with some humorous results. *Erotic language and situations. *I received this book as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.

I loved everything about this sexy, wild and crazy romcom! The Boris and Natasha scene had me laughing out loud. In fact, I laughed through most of this hilarious book. It’s incredible how Daisy Dexter Dobbs managed to combine super-hot, spicy scenes with all that humor. It shouldn’t go together but it does. Perfectly! Once you read the chocolate chip cookie scene, trust me, you’ll never think of those cookies the same way again! Leo, Mindy’s interfering, matchmaking boss, stole the show. What a loveable, endearing character!
Wow I loved this story it was hilarious and the sexy scenes were 🔥 you will have to read the cookie scene lol wow what an imagination this author has it’s brilliant. I hated Mindy’s husband he was very abusive towards her because of her weight it was his fault that she gained so much weight in the first place but when she lost it she looked incredible and earned the attention of Archer at her now ex husband’s funeral. There’s ups and downs, chuckle worthy moments and 🔥 sex scenes but I will let you find out for yourself and I definitely recommend this book.
This is the most unusual romance novel I’ve read in a long time. Don’t Even Think About It was imaginative and inventive. Strange and curious. Full of stuff that should never work. But I guess Daisy Dexter Dobbs must be a magician because she made it all work like magic! That all adds up to a book that was nonstop sexy fun from beginning to end, and a sheer joy to read. There are so many great scenes it’s hard to pick a favorite but the funny, cringeworthy one in the restaurant is definitely way up there. DDD is an auto-buy for me!
Funny and sexy! This book is akin to having a great night out with your girlfriends and ending up in with your personal idea of heaven as a one-night stand, all wrapped up in chocolate without any consequences the next day. Funny, funny, funny, and so witty and snarky and sexy - so unexpectedly sexy! This is an absolute must-read!.

Mindy & Archer's story is spice, steam, sexy, erotic all wrapped up in this contemporary romance. The attraction between Mindy & Archer is instant but will anything come of it? What follows is a comedy of errors that you can't help laughing at. Will Mindy & Archer get it together for a chance at a HEA?.

This book will have you laughing out loud. I couldn't put it down. It was witty, funny, and sharp. The characters are well written and easy to love or hate. (You know who you are). This will make such an awesome rom-com. It's definitely a feel good book with some crazy fun spice. I definitely recommend.
This novel was a great rom com about a wonderful and sweet woman who is horrible at scheming. When her ex husband dies Mindy goes to his funeral as a final “screw you” and runs into a gorgeous man. As Mindy and her best friend Leo scheme to find a way for her and Archer to be together they find themselves in several unexplainable situations that will have readers doing a “face palm”. Enjoy this rom com and Mindy’s awkwardness while she falls for Archer!
