IT’S A SECOND CHANCE, BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND, SUSPENSEFUL AND SWEET, SPICY ROMANCE

“I knew in that exact moment that I was falling for you and there was no force on this earth that could stop it”

I swore to myself I would never fall for Teddy again, but then he showed back up in my life out of nowhere after three years of silence. He’s making promises that I can’t trust him to keep. I barely got over the heartbreak the first time and now he’s asking me to give him another chance. The answer should be easy, no. The problem? I’ve loved him my entire life.

I think I’m doing a great job avoiding him, but that comes to a crashing halt when I start receiving strange letters in my mailbox. He’s the first and only person I call to help me. Teddy stays by my side as the letters keep coming and my nerves are increasing, showing me how much he cares. My resistance is failing, but I can’t commit, not just because he broke my heart, but because he’s my best friend’s brother. More than one heart could be at risk if I give Teddy another chance. I could ruin decades worth of friendships. If I give in it has to be a secret. When I give in it has to be a secret.

Unfortunately, Teddy isn’t the only one after my heart. The strange letters ramp up in aggression and flowers show up everyday at my bakery with no note. I need to juggle my business, my friendships, and my relationship while trying to figure out who else is seeking my attention. It’s a game that could turn out to be painful or worse, deadly.

Threshold is the second book in a series of interconnected stand alone romances. It can be read alone or as part of the series.

This is the second Patrice Ashley book that I have read and have enjoyed. I just wished that her editor caught the grammatical errors in before publishing it. Like the first book in the series, I liked the characters and their back stories. Overall, this was a fast read and I liked the series so far.
