La extensión de la obra es tal que más parece un folleto que un libro; sólo 30 páginas.
Cómo jugador, un libro de ajedrez sin diagramas de ningún tipo, me parece un pésimo libro, en especial considerando que se supone ser un libro para principiantes y quiénes con frecuencia carecen de conocimiento del juego máster allá de como mover las piezas.
En ciertos capítulos, el autor comienza a divagar en cuanto a variantes, conceptos tácticos y conocimiento que se adquiere de manera posterior con instrucción e interacción con otros jugadores. Por otro lado, ideas y temas de importancia para un principiante son mencionados, pero no profundizados.
Si bien unas cuantas frases me gustaron y me hicieron reflexionar en mi práctica del ajedrez, no recomendaría este libro para ser parte del acercamiento de cualquier persona hacia el ajedrez.
