Diversify your portfolio across life cycles. Different mkt regimes reward different companies in different life cycles. Eg after a financial crisis when investors seek safety =>mature cash flow generating companies viewed as safe & solid tend to be sought after. Whereas in a growth bubble (2000 tech bubble, 2023-current Mag 7, AI driven bubble) =>early stage VC funded startups, young growth companies outperform staid old companies.
