From the creators of Love After World Domination : a dark comedy starring a writer who would honestly rather die than live out an isekai fantasy. Inspired an upcoming anime!
A second life in another world with cute girls by your side and video gamey powers–sounds like a dream, right? Not so for a certain melancholy author, who would quite literally rather drop dead. Honestly, all the fantastical adventure is just getting in the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. But no matter how much he risks his hide, everything seems to keep turning out okay. Will our terminally depressed hero find a new lease on life in this cheerfully bleak isekai comedy?
the novelty of a hero who only wants to curl up and die somewhere...may be growing a little thin..but the last couple of volumes have been more story driven...that's a good thing.
I still mostly only "like" this series because the idea of a suicidal hero is relatively untravelled ground, and also I appreciate how "Sensei" has the unique ability to SEND PEOPLE BACK from being "isekai-ed"—something that is actually used in a heartwarming manner in this volume (although that leaves the question of )
It bugs me a little about Esche being Sensei's enabler, though. Hrm.
Recommended for fans of the series... newcomers might have a time of it.
More of a 3.5 star rating; I really like that we got to see Dazai interact with a woman that didn’t end up becoming a part of his party, and also taking more of a backseat role in the case of the village being overrun by other-worlders and a casino. I also really enjoyed learning more about Nir’s background and the boy having his own little arc for some character growth. With everyone potentially entering a castle’s ongoing war and someone that seems to have issues with Dazai, I’m very curious going into this next volume.
Not my favorite volume at this point. The seriousness went up a notch, but the humor went down one. Great action as usual, but I’m more into the humor of this series then the heavy plot line. I’m hoping we get back to the level of the first three volumes.
Dobry tomik uderzający w ton sprawiedliwości - dla kogo złoty dzban, a komu drewniane wiaderko. Łatwo przychodzi mieszkańcom Jesionowa wymierzanie kary innym, a jeszcze łatwiej przytulenie do rzeczy zastałych, niekoniecznie pożytecznych. Wychodzi na to, że Prawość jest kapryśną domeną.
