Ryo and Souma are finally ready to take the next big step—moving in together! Which means they need to figure out what kind of apartment they’d like to live in. Though they each have separate needs, the process starts off smoothly, with only a few bumps along the way, like opening up about their relationship to Souma’s parents. Surprisingly, the biggest hurdle is Souma’s younger sister, Mei, who doesn’t like Ryo at all. Can Ryo salvage their relationship—if not for her sake, for Souma’s?
*hehehe*
I liked that we got more of Souma and Ryo making progress towards the next part of their relationship which is to move in together. They’re working out what they want out of an apartment that would make them both happy, and I’m all for that.
The annoying thing is that Souma’s family is absolutely ridiculous. They all have sticks up their asses, and I don’t get it at all. We made some progress with Souma’s sister, but it’s all a tangent that feels unnecessarily tense.
first half was great - love seeing souma and ryo taking the next steps and learning how to communicate/plan together for the future. I did not like souma's parents reaction though, and he didn't even really stand up to them?? grr. the second half showed some good progress with souma's sister, especially at the college thing, but this whole sideplot with her terrible boyfriend and her being a complete doormat is so frustrating....hopefully that wraps up soon.

I forgot to log this from whenever I bought this and volume 6. The smut is extremely smutty, but I can’t quite remember what are the plot points in this one versus the next volume.
I think this is the one with meeting their families to tell them they’re moving in together, and Souma’s sister is kind of weird about it, but turns out her boyfriend just sucks. The smut is still smutty!!

It's gotten a little bit better thanks to the addition of more characters so there's less time for Ryo and Souma to be together. It allows the story to actually be the focus.
