It's cute but pretty much following standard Rom-Com beats; it's almost paint by numbers at this point. I was hoping for some interesting backstory with Riko Akutsu, like a really broken home life that explains why she hangs out with homeboy so much; add some depth to her character, etc. They do at least show she's not being honest with herself about her feelings, like getting jealous when her friends hit on her guy....and even jealous of the landlady's daughter when she has paranoid fears the MC might be fooling around with HER behind Riko's back. The landlady's daughter is into romcom manga and realizes she's watching one play out IRL in front of her. She even loans one of her favorite manga to Riko to read, hoping she'll make the connection...and it kinda works. But beyond those developments it's more of the same....Riko being sexy but awkward....starting to have fantasies about a life with homeboy, etc. It's not a bad manga, it's just very unremarkable. It's entertaining fluff but it's no Nagatoro or Teasing Master Takagi-san by any stretch.....it's just riding those coat-tails.

I am absolutely not reading this for the plot.

In Please Go Home, Miss Akutsu! Volume 3, I’m basically here for the comedy, the really pretty art, and, yes, staring at Akutsu.

She walks in on Oyama completely naked and immediately fucking faints, which was hilarious. And then the landlady’s daughter shows up looking way too good, and I kind of wish she was a love interest.

This manga is absolutely my dirty pleasure. 3.5 stars out of 5.

Raunchy, sweet, fun

Another great volume in a really fun series. I'm usually not a fan of the tsundere tough girl genre, but all the characters here are so likable that I just want to keep reading. This volume introduces a new character that ups the entertainment value even more. Can't wait for the next volume.

Akutsu is a lot more tsundere this volume, which is a semi-interesting change of pace but nothing crazy different. Some of the chapters in this volume are wild though lol.
