This is comfortably a top 10 manga for me, the characters are amazing and watching them grow from the beginning till now has been a pleasure. This manga has delivered in every aspect, my only disappointment is this abrupt ending. We didn’t get to see Sawamura pitch at koshien as the ace, did they ever win nationals or even how their third year panned out. I was curious to see how the 1st years developed and how Furuya & Sawamura would evolve as leaders in the team as well. It would’ve been nice to see Sawamura perfect his numbers and for Furuya to gain more control and see who would come out on top in their third year. I hope one day we get an act 3 but regardless the anime is coming back next week and I couldn’t be more excited! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
first time I had to read the manga to finish an anime I started watching but apparently there won't be a fourth season anyways, really sad this has ended but I'll probs rewatch and reread the series in a couple months :')
Whenever I think about the ending of this series, I have very mixed feelings.
On one hand, I respect TJ’s feelings but on the other, it’s such a great series that I want to see flourish further. Seeing the cover makes me feel bittersweet because it looks so much like the very first one that it drives home to me how “the very last volume of this series” it really is.
I feel so nostalgic and frustrated because I wanted this series to experience the heights of fame that other sports series did. It’s so well-paced, extremely-detailed, carefully-planned and given so much care that I hate how people with short attention spans just give up on this underrated series.
I hope the author achieved whatever he hoped for with this series, I hope he have only good memories and no regrets, and if he ever decides to come back and write act 3, I will be here cheering from the bottom of my heart.
