Still Being Scottish in Italy: Or...When in Sardinia, do as the Sardinians do

Rate this book
After the success of Being Scottish in Italy , Fraser Lauchlan continues his Sardinian adventures in this sequel, where he describes more stories, anecdotes and unique experiences of how he copes with being Scottish living on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia with his Italian wife and family. We learn about what a 'passo carrabile' is exactly, and why they don't exist in Scotland, how scandalous it is to want a bit of cheese on your fish-based pasta, and the essential differences between ice-cream and gelato.

An enjoyable follow-up book

Lauchlan's return foray into his adventures in Sardinian immigrancy still bring a wry smile.
If you enjoyed the first book, it's more of the same, and is a welcome addition even if it feels slighter and just un pocino less fresh than the first.
