Hi there! I'm a Toronto-based writer and editor who works in both prose and graphic novel formats, usually for younger readers.
My current projects include:
Dungeons and Dragons Young Adventurer's Guides - introducing new players to the classic role-playing game through amazing new artwork and streamlined prose.
Manga Classics - faithful adaptations of western literary classics with Japanese-style artwork.
Beyond writing, my interests include historical costuming, comics, manga, young adult fiction, magic realism, chocolate, and the oxford comma.
Another awesome entry of the Young Adventurers Guides. Having explored at least one of the worlds described in another book, I can say that this was certainly a nice little mix of introductory material to each of the major worlds. I learned quite a bit, especially about the D&D cosmic background. This guide even covered some aspects of travelling that are useful to remember in any Fantasy story.
Love how organized and detailed everything is. This book makes it easier to understand different realms and other things. I love how their is a do and don'ts for camping and other things like that. Love the artwork as well.
I forgot that when you give your kids books to read before you run a D&D game with them, you have to read all of them too so they can't trick you...luckily these are fun reads
