Rob
I never really thought that I meant for the whole relationship malarkey. That is until Olivia walks back into my life. We were best friends when growing up until she moved away. Now that she is back, I am starting to wonder if there isn’t more than just friendship between us. The question is if she feels the same.

Olivia
Rob was not only my best friend, he was also the one who always stood up for me when people mocked me because of my learning difficulties. Even if we haven’t seen each other in years, I never really forgot about him. Seeing him again, creates a whirlwind of emotions in me and I am pretty sure it is not just friendship that I feel, it is so much more. But do I risk it and take this step beyond the boundaries of a friendship?

Join Rob and Olivia on an exhilarating journey where they dive deep into the realms of passionate love and learn that our hidden potential lies within, eagerly awaiting its chance to break free.

I wish I had known about this series before this book because I would have devoured all of these up in a heartbeat- I still will but now in reverse order!

This was a really fun, quick and easy spicy read. Rob and Olivia were the best of friends in their youth but due to Olivia moving they lost touch for the last 20 years. It is only when Olivia moves back and garners the courage to walk into the library do they rekindle their friendship- and maybe develop into something more.
This story covered a lot. You had your usual friends to lovers content as well as a second chance romance but I was not ready for this story to cover a learning disability as well. I think that despite the fact that this was more of a novella type book, the coverage of the FMC's learning disability and what effect it has had in her life was really well done. It didn't feel like any of the struggles or hardships that are normally associated with something like this were skipped over and as the reader you really got a great understanding of not only accepting a shortfall that is not your fault but working to attempt to overcome it in some fashion while showing the world there is nothing wrong with you. I feel many stories don't do these things justice but this is certainly one that did.
Rob and Olivia were certainly fun MC's to read about. Their time apart certainly hasn't put a damper on any of the feelings that they may have had and not recognized as children. They were from the beginning so compatible and I really loved the way that they got to know each other. There was such an ease when they were together that it really kept you hooked and invested in their relationship.
I can't wait to get my hands on the other books in the series and see where we go next. Something tells me they will all be just as good as this one.

So fucking cute!!!!

It’s fast paced but you get the vibe from the blurb that, that’s the case so it was expected.

These two are so cute together! The title is perfect for this book. I love the fact that he is a librarian and he loves his job and is proud of it.

I wasn’t too sure when it started the way it did but once these two got on page together, it was magic!

A cute, steamy, and fun read with a little drama thrown in to keep things interesting. You really packed a lot in and it’s not even 100 pages.

This is the 5th book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. So much is packed into this novella you won’t want to put it down. Rob and Olivia are childhood friends that run into each other when Olivia moves back into town. The sparks and chemistry are flying when they are together and they can’t resist each other.

I’m such a big fan of these Fellside Mountain guys! I love that these are short novellas that I can read in an evening. They are adorable, spicy and informative, honestly.

This one follows Rob the prankster bachelor, that might be ready to settle down. Also.. he’s a librarian! Enter Olivia a friend from the past who has decided to reconnect.

Rob’s love and care is heartwarming, and he’s the best at banter and pranks. I very much enjoyed getting to read Rob and Olivia’s story. And I very much look forward to the book they read coming to fruition!

Thank you Dani Elias for the ARC, I’m honored to have the opportunity to read this before it’s release!

I received this book as an arc in return for an honest review. I knew starting this it was a novella and therefore short but my goodness I was hoping it would keep going! The writing was great and I fell in love with Olivia and Rob as well as the friendship group. The reason I liked it was the story wasn’t far fetched and unbelievable. Their romance was believable and the writing made it all that more real in my imagination. I could have happily read that story line for another 300 pages.

Rob is a librarian and volunteers in mountain rescue a long with people from his friend group. Olivia is an old friend from school but they lost touch due to her family moving to Leeds. Rob has began feeling that he is missing something in life, now that all of his friends are settling down and have significant others and he feels that this is something he may be interested in perusing.

When he sees Olivia in the library for the first time in 20 years, he immediately is drawn to her and her to him.

I enjoyed the mention of the authors upcoming novel and the impact that had on Olivia and Robs sexual attraction with each other. It was well done!

Dani (the author) dealt with topics such as learning difficulties in an extremely respectful manor that I really respect and even the explanation at the beginning of the book I felt was so respectable and extremely well done. Will definitely read more by this author in the future and I plan on reading some of her previous work. Highly recommend.

A great childhood friends to lovers romance read

Rob, Librarian and volunteer mountain rescue member, has been drifting through life not thinking about settling down until Olivia, sporting goods department supervisor, walks back into his life after moving away when they were 13. As the story progresses it feels as if no time has passed, they dip their feet into a relationship at last, and the baggage they carry may drown them fast. Read with Me is a great childhood friends to lovers romance read.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

A good quick read

Rob and Olivia were childhood friends until she moved away. Now she's back and she's gone to see him. He's immediately attracted to her and she is to him. They begin to get to know each other and their story begins.

I liked this novella a lot. Its a quick read and doesn't feel rushed or anything. I recommend this read!

Read with me by Dani Elias the 5th book of the Fellside Mountain Rescue Series.

I had a privilege to read this book as an ARC reader and I fell in love with the book. This is the first time I am reading one of Dani’s books and I have to say I am not disappointed. It’s a Novella series and a quick read.

This book is based on Rob and Olivia, and I fell in love with these two character. Loved the friends to lovers storyline. It gives it a true love setting that any woman ever wants in their life.

The story is based in a small town with great friends and community. I was able to read this book in one setting and I wish it didn’t ended. It was steamy, funny and you can’t hope your self and fall in love with these two characters.

Rob is a librarian and also volunteers for a Falllside Mountain Rescue. Rob is a very smart and funny guy and is also a prankster who likes to prank his friends. Robb is also a bachelor who is also getting tired of the single life because he’s noticed that all his friends have partners and they are happy and he starting to feel that he’s missing something in his life.

And there’s Olivia, who is Robs old school friend who so happens to have moved back home. Olivia struggles with a reading disabilities to which her parents and brother make fun of her because it, which they have been doing her whole life. Olivia struggles with defending herself, and her family not giving her the support she needs.

When Olivia finds Rob, she realizes that they’re no longer young childhood friends, but grown adults with desires for each other. They learn each other and the s3x is off the chain. —— you have to read the book!!

The author did a great job!!

I received a copy of Read With Me as an ARC in exchange for an honest review and boy am I glad I did!

I’d like to preface this with the fact that, although it’s part of a series, you can totally read this novella as a standalone. This was my case, as I hadn’t had the pleasure of reading Dani Elias’ work prior to this.

To begin, we are introduced to the MMC, Rob, and find out that he’s the prankster of his friend group. This happens during a hilarious scene wherein his friends get him back for the tricks he’s previously played on them.

We also quickly learn that he’s an intellectual librarian “by day” and that he volunteers as a mountain rescuer on the side 👀 Oh and, he’s a former lady’s man now intent on throwing in the towel and finding “The One”… Swoon!

Next, through her own POV, we get to know sweet and sassy Olivia when she drops by the library in the hopes of reconnecting with her dear childhood friend. As she adoringly reminisces on their past, she quickly gets noticed by Rob’s colleague and, well, cue the cutest reunion scene 💗The story then continues on to navigate their journey to reacquainting themselves with each other.

Their connection is instant and undeniable. I couldn’t help but smile the whole way though. It’s my opinion that Rob and Olivia’s story is sure to tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud.

It’s now a definite favorite of mine and I’ve already found myself rereading it!

I look forward to reading more of Dani Elias’ works and highly recommend Read With Me to anyone that’s looking for a well-paced, sweet as pie, small town romance!

This short read is the first book I read in this series and from this author. She definitely knows how to create a short story. I did not feel like it was too short or that I missed out on any important pieces. Though this is my first read in the series, the book gave enough background that I felt like I knew all of the characters. I also knew my next endeavor would be reading the previous books in this series. This book was hot and steamy. Dani does a steamy scene right.

Rob is a librarian and a part of the Fellside Mountain Rescue. He is very close with everybody in the rescue unit and they get together regularly. He is seeing his friends find love and realizing that he is missing that in his life. Someone to love. Olivia was a childhood friend. She left town and has now made her way back. Rob and Olivia got to know each other when he helped her with reading. When Olivia walked into the library, Rob knew he was seeing his future. Why not see where this goes? Will they have the same connection as adults?

I loved the reading aspect of the book. There is even an excerpt from another book that I can't wait to get my hands on. This couple was cute and cared for each other a lot. Though it was fast, readers will be able to tell that is was also very real.

Read with Me by Dani Elias is book 5 in the Fellside Mountain Rescue Series.😊

This is a Small Town, Friends to Lovers Romance, a story about Rob and Olivia, these books can be read as standalones.📚

It’s my first time reading books from this author, but after reading "read with me " i want to read the rest off her books! 📖

It's very well written, and I couldn't put the book down I consumed it all right away. It make me laugh so so much!!🤣

Now let me tell you alittle bit about Rob and Olivia's love story💜💙

Rob is a librarian who volunteers at FMR, and he’s also the prankster of his group of friends 🤣 he's a playboy, but recently he doesn’t want that anymore, he wants to settle down and have what his friends have got lovely partners.

Olivia is such a sweetheart 💜 she has not long moved back to town, after her parents had moved when she was a teen! she has a learning disability which makes it hard for her to read. She likes her job it pays the bills but she would love to be a teacher, but no one has supported her to do so, Her family make fun off her and it hurts but she lets them " thinking they are only joking "

Rob and Olivia were childhood friends and when they spend time together he would read to her, but after two decades without seeing each other she comes back, and the sparks are instantly there, There first time meeting after so long is so adorable, he couldn't stop hugging her. It's full off sweetness, loads off laughter and the s!X is fire 🔥🥵 the scene where he reads her romance book was hot hot hot🥵🔥.

I highly recommend this book. The author done a great job, I want more off Rob and Olivia's story.

Sweet baby Jesus, Dani is getting on top of her game. She did it again, another amazing book in this incredible lil series.

Rob is a librarian who volunteers at FMR, and he’s also the prankster of the group who supposedly didn’t want anything serious but lately he doesn’t want that and wants what his friends are having. Olivia is the sweetest ever, but she has a learning disability which makes it hard for her to read. Rob and Olivia were childhood friends and when they spend time together he would read to her. She had to move from Fellside but after two decades without seeing each other she comes back, and the sparks are instantly there! ❤️‍🔥

Like I said Olivia was the sweetest person ever but oh my lord Rob? He was the best, he was so sweet and protective of her that I was a goner since the beginning, I absolutely loved how he stands up for her and how he made her understand what he was trying to say.

Tropes:
-small town
-dual pov
-novella
-librarian hero
-prankster hero
-disability rep
-childhood friends who lost contact and decades later reunites again, so friends to lovers
-more spicy than the others in the series
-he reads to her
-spicy audiobooks 👀

This was a quick and fun read in this little series, and I highly highly recommend reading it! ❤️ And I’m so excited to see how that little surprise book comes to life!

Rating: 4.5/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

A huge thank you to Dani for letting me read this amazing book, can’t wait to read the next one!! 🤩

I got an ARC of this novella within The Fellside Mountain Rescue Series, Read With Me follows Olivia, a neurodivergent moving back to her hometown after nearly 20 years and Rob, a librarian-mountain rescuer (pardon the puddle I’ve just melted into 🫠) during their whirlwind interactions after not seeing one another since they were kids. This instant connection and attraction between these two characters is undeniable and nothing short but adorable.

Within this quick read are some trigger warnings of bullying by family members due to a learning disability, but nothing that Rob doesn’t swoop in to remind us that these things do not define who we are or that there are ways of coping.

The author doesn’t skimp on the heat either, also giving us a spicy glimpse at an upcoming novel she will be debuting within this novella! Spoiler: Rob reads the male dialog of the book to Oliva instead having to listen to the reader on the audiobook she listens to 🥵!!!

This can be read as a standalone novella or along with the others in the series as some of the characters have their own storylines to familiarize yourself with to truly immerse yourself in their world.

Look for this book for pre-order and the rest of the series on Kindle Unlimited now! Don’t forget to check Dani out on Instagram @dani_elias_books

I just finished my read of Read with Me by Dani Elias. This story is book 5 of the interconnected Fellside Mountain Rescue series, but can be read as a standalone. You get to read Rob's story. The mischievous troublemaker, who is unhappy with his life's direction. Then he runs into Oliva, his childhoood friend he hasn't seen in twenty years. When he sees her, he's smitten. She's excited to see her long lost friend. He was the only one to have her back with her challenges during her childhood. When she sees him she wonders if mere friendship is enough for her. Follow their journey of passionate lovemaking, while dealing with the complexities of family ties. But a tragic chain of events happens, will they get their happily ever after? Run and grab this book and read an amazing story of friends to lovers and the challenges they face. It's a short, sweet read. I highly recommend.

Dani has done it again! Another great book! Rob is a librarian who volunteers with FMR. Olivia has a learning disability which makes it hard for her to read. After two decades of not seeing each other, Olivia comes back to Fellside.

From the first time seeing each other again, which was so cute ❤️ to the way Rob reads books for Olivia, made me love this book and Rob ❤️❤️

This book was an easy, fun read. I laughed, especially in the beginning and swooned over how much Rob cared for Olivia and protected her. The ending was rough, very suspenseful, but really good. I love the name drop of a new book coming from Dani which of course I'm going to read!

Again another great book by Dani Elias.

"Because you look beautiful when you're passionate about something. I mean you are always beautiful, but now you looked so happy and excited. It just took my breath away."- Rob

"Yes, I wasn't a reader, simply because it was too difficult, but I loved listening to the stories, especially when he read them."- Olivia

Read With Me by Dani Elias is a steamy novella that gives us window into Rob and Olivia’s romance. I read it in one sitting.

Those of us who have been reading about the men of Fellside Mountain Rescue since the beginning know that Rob is the ultimate prankster. I enjoyed seeing him brought to his knees when Olivia walks into the library.

It was nice seeing the more serious, protective side of Rob. Olivia has the somewhat annoying habit of running herself down as a result of her difficulty reading. There is a particularly hot section of the book involving Rob, Olivia, and a book! Pardon me while I fan myself.

I felt that the book stood on its own merits without the emergency for the FMR team, but I understand why it was included in their story. Overall, Dani has created a great group of people that I can picture myself hanging out with. I can’t wait to read Tommy’s story and find out who is able to pull him away from work!

I received an ARC. The opinions expressed above are mine.

This is a short, delightfully naughty and very steamy friends to lovers romance. Rob and Olivia were best of friends as children until they were young teenagers and her family moved out of town. Over two decades later, Olivia is back in town with her family. She and Rob reunite in the library, their favourite place to be back in the day where he would read to her as he knew she had difficulties. Now Rob works in the library and also is part of the Fellside Mountain Rescue team. The connection is still there between them, but now there are also sparks of attraction. This time around, they are feeling much more than friendship and the reading material is definitely more adult in nature. Will they get a chance at a happily ever after?

This book may be short, but the characters are still well defined, realistic and engaging, as is their story. I look forward to reading more books by this author. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

I had the privilege to read this book as an ARC reader. This is my first time reading one of Dani Elias’s books, it was a great read. This short book was a novella part of a larger series by the author.

Rob is a librarian, which I absolutely loved and also volunteers with the Fellside Mountain Rescue team. While Oliva just moved back into town after 20 years away and is just trying to settle back into her hometown. Rob and Olivia were childhood friends and they soon reconnect at the library where Rob works. They rekindle their friendship which quickly leads to their romance.

I loved that Rob was so encouraging and supportive of Olivia in all aspects. I love that there are dual POV, so we could see the feelings of both of the characters. Which is always important.

This book contains tropes such as small town, second chance love, disability representation, insta love. This book is cute and quick read with a bit of spice.

I adored this one so much. Rob and Olivia are honestly relationship goals.

Rob is working in the library when Olivia, his childhood friend he lost touch with, walks in. There’s an instant connection (they lost touch at 13 before any romance developed) and they begin to get reacquainted.

The tension between these two is amazing. Especially because the FMR (the rescue team) keeps being the biggest c*ck-blocker ever when Rob keeps getting called out at *important* moments!!!!! I love how Dani shows Olivia struggling with reading and how she works so hard to overcome it. Added to this is that Rob used to read to her when they were younger (🫠🫠) and helps her discover audiobooks. Then when she finds the male narrator lacking in the steamy romance she’s listening to, he offers to take over at a *crucial* part of the book… need I say more?!?!

Honestly don’t sleep on this series of amazing novellas!!!!!! My only complaint is that they aren’t longer!!

It’s my first time reading this author but after finishing this book, I have plans to go back and read all the other ones as well. This is a very well written book that kept my eyes glued to my kindle screen. The plot and world building was great! I could clearly imagine everything that I read. I really enjoyed the characters of Rob and Olivia. It was great reading their journey together. How protective he was over her. This book had some suspenseful moments that had me clutching my kindle tight. But also at the same time there were some very awe worthy moments. Overall I really recommend reading this book!

This is a spicy little novella and a super quick read but sooo good! Written in dual POV, both main characters are funny and I love them both so much.

Rob is a sexy librarian volunteer mountain rescuer 🤤. All of this friends are in a Relationship, but he can’t settle down with anyone. That is until he starts hanging out Olivia.

Olivia is neurodivergent, and one of his friends from grade school. Rob hasn’t seen her since she moved away when she was 13, but now that she’s back so are all of the feelings he’d always felt for her.

After swearing off one night stands, could Olivia be the one he’s been looking for all this time?

“I tell you, mate, it was like… it felt like a missing piece of my life was back when she stood in front of me. There was no awkwardness. It just felt like we had never been apart.”

The two careers that Rob has chosen are very different as loves reading which led to his career as a librarian and he has an adventurous side which suits rescues with Fellside Mountain Rescue. As he watches the other members of his team fall in love he is beginning to want the same thing for himself especially when Olivia comes back into his life.

Olivia’s family moved from Fellside when she and Rob were teenagers, and she has recently returned. When she sees Rob again it is like no time has passed and the sparks fly however a little turmoil emerges when he doesn’t like the way those that are closest to her treat her when it comes to her reading difficulties.

I really enjoyed how Rob was protective of Olivia and wasn’t about to let anyone make her feel less than the wonderful person that she is.

Read with Me is the 5th book in the Fellside Mountain Rescuer series. It is a short and steamy, friends-to-lovers, curvy girl gets her hunky man romance. Olivia is a curvy girl who has returned home after being away for a long time. Rob is a hunky librarian and mountain rescuer who was her childhood best friend. They bonded when she was younger as she struggled with reading, and Rob would read to her. Rob has a reputation as a playboy but is ready for more. When he sees Olivia, its like she never left, and they enter into a relationship. Sparks fly as their love blooms. Their chemistry and sweet friendship are insane. Rob is so funny. I think they are my new favorite couple. They do have some struggles, but in the end, we get a great HEA. Love this whole series so much!

This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is Rob and Olivia’s story. These two were childhood friends, until Olivia and her family left town, but she has now returned. Rob is the playboy prankster in the team, who works in town’s library, and he has a passion for reading, and he wants what all his friends have with their significant others. It is heartbreaking how Olivia is teased and put down by her family. Rob is determined to help Olivia overcome her insecurities and fears. This is a well written east to read story which has family, friendships, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, emotions, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I laughed so much in chapter one... well first I was WTF and then I laughed. Rob is such a sweetheart and the connection he has with Olivia is amazing. We all have those friends that you don't see for years and when you meet them again it is like they never had left. But in their case, there is so much more than just friendship.

The way they reconnect is written so natural and realistic and sqeet and passionate ... I just loved it. The steamy scenes are hot.

The ending again caught me of guard and I said out loud "Nooooo" but the HEA is hilarious. Rob and his crotch kissing made me laugh and love them so much.

I absolutely loved this book so much there were so many cute moments that had me smiling so much throughout reading this it was amazing!! Easily one of my favorite books just cause of how cute it was!! Though I worried how fast it was going at first I was quickly proven that my worry was for nothing and that made me happy!!

Fav part: definitely them meeting up at the bus station and or when Rob stood up to her parents being bullied to her

Spice lvl /5: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Honestly, I loved this!

I felt the story was just a little rushed (and I understand, this is a Novella), BUT I loved the story itself!

Old friends, turned lovers with just a little suspense with a volunteer rescuing job. I devoured this is one sitting and can't wait to continue with the rest of the series when it comes out. And with the cat lady also ;). Dani did a great job portraying emotion and setting the tone during the intense scenes.

10/10 would recommend for a good standalone between series or as a nice light-hearted binge series.
