Chris took the map and folded it back into its original shape. He thought over everything that they knew and said, 'We have a map that indicates the moon knows where the gold is hidden. We know that the map came from the last train robber alive in the hideout. And we know that the moon was full when the gold was hidden. The last piece of information to this puzzle is the time of year. And it was this time of year.' 'That settles it then,' Becca said. 'We need to be at the cave tonight when the moon rises to see what Loudon meant with his clues.' Chris and Jeremy's family owns Devil's Hideaway, a park in southeastern Oklahoma. Devil's Hideaway was a thrilling, and easy to relate to book. I liked this book, and would recommend it. The Devil's Hideaway follows two brothers, Jeremy and Chris, whose father runs a park in southeastern Oklahoma. They meet two campers at the Devil's hideaway, Kara and Becca, who are cousins looking for adventure. When the group of teenagers discover a treasure map for gold in the park, they get mixed up in a plot that gives them the adventure of a lifetime. A few things I liked about the book are how the book is based in Oklahoma, how the characters are teenagers, and how the characters have feelings that give them depth. The book is based in a state park in southeastern Oklahoma. I enjoyed how Taylor mentioned common places in Oklahoma such as Tulsa in the book. I felt i could relate to the characters due to them being teenagers, and having realistic feelings. I thought of the way i would feel in the situations present, and felt Taylor did a good job of portraying just how every teenager would feel. There was only a few critiques i had for the book. There were some scenes were Taylor went way to far into detail. He could have easily still had the same affect on the fell of the scene, for example he uses an entire paragraph to tell about how Jeremy was sleeping on the couch. I enjoyed this book very much, and i hope Taylor will continue with his writing. I will look forward to reading more about the adventures of these characters, and will recommend this book so friends can enjoy as well.
