Wow. Just wow. M. K. Morris knows how to tell a love story that is emotional, relatable, flawed, and real. Rocky and Clover were two characters I definitely connected with. I saw myself in Clover, and I saw quite a few people in Rocky. Morris beautifully tackled mental health in relationships, and how healing is not linear. Lies We Buried was simultaneously heart-wrenching and heart-warming, and I can’t commend her enough for the depth she gives her characters and their stories.
