Will's obsession has always been the fast-moving world of art in New York City; photography and beauty.
Until a chance encounter introduces him to a new up-and-coming artist, Ava.
She leads him to create his very best series of photographs yet. It's just a shame she can't ever know about them ... or that she is the subject matter.
When their relationship takes a dark and twisted turn down a path they can't ever recover from, will Ava find herself, or find her limits?
And what happens if she ever happens to stumble across Will's darkroom?
Stalking His Muse is a dark and steamy standalone novella!
3/5 I'm a man possessed, but I can't help it. She's my muse, and I'll do anything to keep her by my side.
First of all, look at that cover! I'm in love with it. This is a dark stalker novella that turned out to be surprisingly sweet. Ava is a struggling artist and Will is an art gallery owner. They meet one day at the gallery and bam- instant connection. Will took one look at her and she was his.
Ava is like a drug, and I'm addicted. Every time I see her, my heart races, my palms sweat, and my head spins. I want her so badly, and I'll do anything to have her.
I liked this novella, it was really spicy and had some kinks. It was a little boring in places but otherwise it was good.
This is probably a good book for someone...I'm just not that person. Y'all, this man masturbated with a Peach. Who fucks a fruit? After biting it...wtf. You see...maybe if he was a Mafia leader or something this would work...but he is your average Joe artist and art gallery owner. The fact that he has obsession/Stalker issues and violent murdering tendencies just makes him creepy to me not hot. He killed a man. He stalks her and takes pictures of her when she didn't know. If he had the correct character building it would have worked, but nope. This man was not for me.
Painter Ava (h) attends an art exhibit where she meets Will (H), gallery owner and photographer. He instantly falls for her and begins secretly stalking her, photographing every aspect of her life. As Ava and Will begin seeing one another, their relationship heats up, but Ava reconsiders their relationship when she realizes just how enthralled Will is with her. Obsessive stalker quickie with a side of heat and some violence from an obsessed man who’ll will let nothing harm the woman he lives for.
Apart from the scene where Will fucks a peach because he needs a therapist, this book was great! I loved everything about it, although I really think the author could have upped the ante on the drama and stalking and murder. The murder didn't even feel like a murder; I was expecting more of a premeditated murder, but it was mostly a spur-of-the-moment thing and quite late in the book. I loved that Ava was so chill about this whole thing that she went along with it. The author claimed that this was a dark book, but I didn't think it was that dark. Will worked more in a morally grey area - the lighter part rather than the darker one. Still, this was a quick read for one sitting.
While not a neophyte in the world of dark romances, I am new to KA Pryde and Amber Faye. In Stalking His Muse; A Steamy Dark Romance, Will, a photographer with a NY gallery, meets and develops and obsession with Ava, a fledgling artist. He soon begins to stake out her home at night, taking pictures of her while she creates her artwork. The photographs are his best work, but will Ava agree when she sees them?
The premise of the story is good, basic, and uncomplicated. What makes it complicated for me is the lack of character development. We don't get to know Will or Ava; I feel like the authors didn't take the time to know the characters either. If feels as though they were more interested in telling a story than giving any reason why the characters are who they are and do what they do. I spent most of this short, easy read asking myself, "What is the point? Where are we going with this?"
There were also inconsistencies, such as when Will is justifying himself by mentioning all the men who've hurt Ava before. But there is nothing in the story to indicate that anyone had ever hurt Ava. It would have been interesting to know about Ava's best friend. Did that 'ride or die' friend die in such a way that was protective of Ava? Is that why she so easily accepts Will as her proven 'ride or die' now? As it stands there is nothing in Ava's story that leads you to believe that she would be okay with Will's behavior. Ava is also too back and forth with her emotions. When Will tries to tell her about the perils of dealing with Victor, she tells him she can handle it, yet she isn't' even able to handle the conflict with her landlord. And how did Will know about the problems with the landlord anyway?
While not for me, this book would be good for those who like things a little dark (including murder), who want an easy read, who like a little voyeurism, who like a happy ending.

5 Stars!! This was one of my favorite stalker romances!
Stalking His Muse is about Ava, an up-and-coming artist who moved to New York to chase her dream of being a known painter, and Will (or William), who is a photographer in New York and has his own art gallery.
These two meet when Ava's cousin brings her to an art show hosted by Will. He's instantly taken, if not obsessed, with her and her work, oil self-portraits. From there blooms a beautiful, somewhat twisted love and obsession.
This was super fun to read. This book was a true page-turner, an attention catcher, and I just overall loved it. It is beautifully written, the way they describe art and what it means to them, the way they describe and view the world around them, and their love/obsession with each other. Intense insta-lust and attraction, but still felt well-paced and not rushed. And the ending was everything I needed and never knew I wanted. Also, it was probably the hottest book I've read in a while, I mean... a PEACH?? Lord, I sweating.
Also, I thought this quote (my favorite) deserved mentioning: And when the lights outside start to flash red and blue, and the patrons of my first ever art show start to gasp and whisper, the man who would kill for me nips at my bottom lip, his hands at my back, his taste on my tongue.
Stalking His Muse is a complete standalone novella, and can be read in one sitting. I'd never read from these authors before, but I will now. It's totally reread-worthy! 100% recommend!!

when struggling self portrait artist ava, meets art gallery owner and photographer will, sparks fly. he is instantly captivated by her and can't seem to get her off his mind; and thus the obsession starts. he knows it's wrong, but he can't stop himself.
maybe it was because of the fact that this book is meant to be a novella, but i felt that very minimal amount of information is revealed about will and ava's past, and how that's affected them to be the people they are now. we just know that ava is from the countryside and that her best friend passed away when they were in high school, and nothing else is revealed about will's past.
i also felt the attempt at having an antagonist was very half-done - victor's character was just placed to make the story longer and to take the reader's mind off the 'attraction' between will and ava. victor created conflict among the characters, which was in ways beneficial to will and ava's story, however his character on its own had no meaning.
will's obsession with ava at times seems a little overboard, especially when he talks about being in love with her after their third official meeting together. had the character been more developed, it could have been so much better.
when i read the blurb of the book i was interested, however it simply did not live up to my expectations, and the characters were not as good as i made them out to be before reading the book.
1.75⭐out of 5⭐.

Artists often look for beauty in the unique, and a peach shaped birthmark is certainly something unique. It’s just one of the things that puts Ava in Will’s line of sight. Inspired by her beauty and vulnerability he becomes obsessed with her - desperate to make her his. His methods are unorthodox and not entirely sane but he’s passionate and Ava responds well until she finds out the truth.
Told in dual POV you get to experience Will’s side as his obsession grows and he stalks Ava then they begin dating and you have Ava’s side as she deals with her own feelings - exploring Will’s feelings for her and how he makes her feel as well as coming to terms with her new found sexuality and how that makes her feel too. In a normal situation they have the premise to be great but Will’s strange behaviour affects that, it seems that Will isn’t the only person creeping on Ava though and she becomes thankful for his watchful eye.
It’s a story of passion, of instalust and instalove. It’s fast paced and spicy with primal and voyeuristic elements.

Stalking His Muse is a short novella about an up and coming artist and an art gallery owner who meet at an art exhibit. Will is instantly drawn to Ava and begins stalking her. He quickly integrates himself in her life and they begin dating. Everything is all good and steamy until Ava finds out just how obsessed Will is with her. Now the question is, does that change anything?
I would recommend Stalking His Muse when you want a quick read. If you like stalker romances, short reads, quick to spice, art, insta love, you’ll love Stalking His Muse. This book’s trigger warnings is not bad, just stalking and murder.
Warning: Reading Stalking His Muse may make you go to art galleries in hopes you’ll find your ride or die. May make you push the limits of how far you’ll go for your significant other. May make you need an alibi. Read responsibly.

Two authors join forces to give us this page-turning riveting short novella about how far an obsessed man Will will go after he sees Ava at a party in his art gallery and he instantly becomes obsessed with her. Will wants to know everything about Ava and when he finds out that she's an artist he has to look her up. Ava's paintings capture Will's attention and only serve to heighten his obsessive need to know more about her so he begins stalking her. This leads to him finally getting to meet her and she inspired his best series of photos too bad she'll never know about them. Ava is drawn to Will as well and because of this she finds herself acting out of character. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this fast-paced riveting story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

This is a dark stalker novella. If there is one thing I know, both of these authors are very good at writing very posessive, alpha men who are stalkers. The title is very fitting also. Ava and Will are both artists. As soon as Will meets Ava, he's obsessed with her. Ava becomes Will's muse. There's a specific scene in this novella that will have you never looking at a 🍑 the same way again! I did a double take at what I was reading. This novella is spicy but short. There was a part near the end that was completely unexpected to me. Ava was a bit lost, but Will completes her. Ava was lost but now has found a home in Will. If your looking for a hot, posessive, stalker novella, look no further. This one will not disappoint if your into these kind of books.

A short 94 page story of MMC semi stalking FMC. I say semi, because he does initiate a relationship with her and she reciprocates feelings, until she finds out he stalks her. The story is quite atmospheric and does like to set the scene. There is definitely a little spice in there, including the FMC being a virgin, a little voyerism, gentle dominance, nothing 50 shades of crazy.
It definitely keeps your attention, it isn’t just about the lust, it’s the weighing of innocence and guilt in a morally grey perspective. Would you really love someone who would kill for you?
A very easy read, quick, darkish, like a twilight dark, enjoyable 4 out of 5 stars!

I loved the idea of this - 2 tortured creatives colliding. Will - the stunningly elegant gallery owner and the beautiful portrait artist Ava.
Will begins an immediate obsession with Ava and stalks her mercilessly taking candid photos of her of which she is totally unaware.
Of course they meet, but I won't say more other than sparks fly.
My only concern is that the event towards the end I felt unnecessary.
I found the setting for this sharply written novella quirky and I enjoyed the characters, so much so, that I feel it could have been developed into a full length.
Steamy, short and enjoyable.

Stalking His Muse by KA Pryde and Amber Faye is a well written and interesting novella. At only 94 pages, the novella packs a punch with a unique perspective to the stalker trope. The ending has an unexpected twist.
The reason this novella gets a four star review instead of a five star is that I feel the character development is less in-depth than what it should be. I do not feel strong connections to any character by the end.
Overall a good read. By the end of the novella all loose storylines are tied up. The reader finishes this novella with the knowledge all parts of the storyline are present and complete.

This was a super fast novella and was good. The characters are good and I both have ties in the art world. Will meets Ava at his gallery and instantly falls in love with her and her art. Unknown to her, Will starts stalking Ava taking pictures of her. She is his muse. Ava is happy that Will likes her art and seems to be interested in her, but is he just interested in the art? She falls for him as he shows that he cares for her too. But after some new information is brought to light, can their love stay strong? I liked this book but wish it was slightly longer. The twist at the end seemed a little out there and I wish there was more info or hints throughout the novella.

The things he does to that peach! LOL. Will is obsessed with Ava, and he can't resist when he is eating that peach.
Ava is an artist, and she paints herself and posts them on her Instagram page. She meets Will at an art exhibit; he is a gallery owner and photographer. Will has an instant attraction to Ava, and she becomes his muse. He stalks her, and his obsession grows; he can't stop thinking about her. He knows he is certifiable and still does not care; he has to know everything about Ava and more.
Ok, so I'm never going to be able to eat a peach again without thinking of this book! Or of what that peach was doing! I just hope it was an extra large peach! OMG I just knew peaches were a fav of mine for a reason!
Seriously now, this story is amazing! Just what a stalker romance should be. You can feel the tension building from the first few pages. This is gripping stuff! I was so disappointed it was a novella. Wanted more of this story!
This is a fine tuned, tense and terrifying journey through an crackling electric current of carnality. Loved every minute of reading this!.

I love a stalker romance, it’s my favourite along with bully/enemies/ tropes.
I really feel like there is something special in this story, so do give it a chance. The writing is easy to follow, William is certainly a character I was drawn to, the way the authors created him, is the epitome of todays’ struggle.
IYKYK 😉 I won’t elaborate on what exactly those struggles are, because I want you to go in there and read it for yourself.
Very happy I got to arc-read this gem, can we expect more? A second one? A novella? Because despite my 3,5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. I think they have the potential to skyrocket.
This is my first book by this author, the storyline was good, fast-paced, flowed well and was easy to get into. The characters are well-drawn and interesting Ava's an upcoming artist and Will's the owner of an art gallery. Their first meeting was at an art exhibit when Will became instantly obsessed with Ava and began stalking her. She became his obsession and he soon manipulated the situation so that they began dating but what would happen when Ava discovered his true nature and his secrets? Their chemistry was palpable and intense but would that be enough?
Sit back and enjoy the drama and the sizzling scenes.
This is the first book I've read by the author and I was completely immersed from start to finish! Ava is an artist in New York struggling to get herself noticed, that is until she meets Will a photographer and gallery owner. When they meet it's as if everything else falls away and they're being pulled together. Will finds himself instantly obsessed with Ava and finds any reason to follow her. What will happen when Ava finds out? Will Ava get the recognition she deserves for her work? Expect lots of secrets, intense chemistry, friendship, suspense and more throughout this short and intense read!.

A story that is gripping when you start reading. The tension builds when you read that Ava and Will meet each other and how Will is impressed by the art that Ava makes. His dark thoughts lead him to pursue Ava and observe and photograph her without her noticing. Innocent as Ava is, she does not notice that Will is maneuvering her to meet her again. When Ava knows what Will has done, she cannot see him again. Will cannot lose sight of Ava and continues to follow her from a distance. Can he prevent Ava and her art from falling into the wrong hands? How far will he go to protect Ava?.

Ava is an artist who paints herself, looking for herself. When she goes to an art exhibit she meets Will who is an artist himself but with a camera. When Will sees her paintings he falls in love. Whether it is with Ava's paintings or Ava he's not sure but he knows one thing, he will follow Ava and protect her. I enjoyed this novella and I liked Will's stalker tendencies. It has a great storyline and Will and Ava are a great couple if Ava can get past Will's stalker tendencies. Good stalker story.

This was a quick read about a painter who’s trying to make it in the art world and a photographer who notices her and becomes obsessed. It was a decent enjoyable read, but I prefer my stalkers darker so this missed the mark a bit. I feel like Jones was a little out of place in the story and not introduced until 3/4 of the way through the story.

Will is a photographer and art gallery owner. When he meets Ava at his gallery, it’s instantaneous obsession. Ava is an up and coming artist and now she’s the focus of Will’s entire world. He stalks her and will do anything to make her his.
Even though this had a twisted, stalker vibe to the story, Will’s obsession comes from a good place and made the story romantic.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable read. Looking forward to what’s next by this author.

You are going to love this story. It has all the perfect elements of a dark love story! Will & Ava are going to steal your heart and you will fall hard for their love story. Will is a smart, intelligent, talented artists who is consumed by Ava’s beauty to the point where she’s his only obsession and his muse to make new art. She consumes his kind, his body, and his canvas. It’s quite powerful and beautiful the way these two come together in their love for each other and for art. You will devour their story and their HEA is top notch. Happy Reading!!
This was a short and quick stalker novella. Instant attraction/obsession. The dark factor of the book really was only the stalking/obsession part in my opinion. Spice level was low and the FMC forgave the MMC rapidly once she found out his little secret.
It kept me intrigued enough to see how things played out but I would've liked a little more depth to the characters.

Stalking his Muse by Amber Faye Will and Ava relationship is most interesting story line so far that I have read. He sees her at an Art gallery event with her friend and slowly follows her every day until he has her. He’s her fairy godmother, making her life better in more ways than one. You have to read this book.

Stalking His Muse was my first read by K. A. Pryde and my mind is blown. I am definitely anxious to read more. A chance meeting at an art gallery will forever change Ava's life. Ava agrees to go with her cousin to an art gallery opening hoping to get some inspiration for her own art. The moment gallery owner Will sees Ava and her self portraits he is immediately obsessed. She instantly becomes both his obsession and his muse. Will he go too far in his pursuit to make Ava his? 5 stars.
