Rate this book
Your physical condition affects your attitude, outlook on life, and ability to serve God and others to your full potential. In Fit for Faith: A Christian Woman’s Guide to Total Fitness, author Diana Anderson provides interesting facts and vital information about health, nutrition, and exercise, and illustrates the connection between physical fitness and your walk with Christ.
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” (1 Corinthians 6:19, NIV)
In addition to illustrated step-by-step exercise routines, sample meal plans, and discussion about the relationship between certain foods and health taken straight from Scripture, Diana emphasizes the importance of positive friendships, and the need for rest and reflection on the Word of God. She also explains the impact of negative self-talk and stress on your physical condition.
Whether you are a fitness fanatic or a couch potato, Fit for Faith will meet you right where you are, inspiring you to make lifelong changes and to adopt a positive attitude toward your health and physical fitness.

Diana has been writing all her life, starting with her own versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics when she was four. She's always been fascinated with Greek mythology and comic book superheroes, all of which inspire her fantasy novels. She's also a gym rat who loves to pretend she's Wonder Woman while lifting heavy weights and swinging from rings and pull-up bars. She co-owns CrossFit 925 in San Antonio, Texas with her husband Ben.

Diana currently writes entertainment and media-related articles for movieguide.org and contributes regularly to charismamag.com. When she isn't writing or working out, she can be found playing Scrabble with her husband, watching Marvel and Pixar movies, and pinning recipes on Pinterest that she never gets around to cooking.

I liked this because I have been giving a lot of thought to the spiritual implications of my obesity, and the book reminds the reader that when we abuse our bodies, we are abusing the temple of the Holy Spirit. The author sounds quite young, and I think young people with eating disorders would benefit from this book because the author suffered from anorexia as a teenager.
