This book includes five bedtime stories. They are quite charming, but repetitive. Each story has the basic premise of Whiskers finding and enjoying a magical item. But the stories summarized what happened during the day. They would have been much more engaging if they had been written in first person present tense, so that the kids could share Whisker's experience. This is a chapter book with only one picture of Whisker's and the magical item at the top of the page. The book would make a good anthology for parents to use as bedtime stories. The reader could flesh out the story with their own words. I would have prefered if the author had turned these cute stories into individual picture books, written from Whisker's point of view.

Hey I really can't see this book because it's fun and like I give it 5 stars✨✨✨✨

I love this book I guarantee you guys just get it and I like it. TK or like3rd 4 physics like any grade above 1st And I guarantee I can't I can't see like Tk TK because like they're probably gonna get like like " or like I don't think I guarantee you guys There's like 5 or 6Stories maybe But Maybe they could but like So far I don't So far I don't know And I'm19 and And I can't tell like so And I can't tell but like so far I don't like it so Yeah and when My kids ready they're like oh yeah this is gonna be so fun and we read it on an iPad which was very easy because like They don't have to like read the book they just have to like to like Be the parent can be right next to them they don't have to turn pages have to go swipe And then you like you like so easy And then you done like so easy You don't understand how Like is so easy I cannot believe how easy it is It's like so easy like if you like do anything like mistake you can go back you can read it again because I'm like little pages like you can go back but then you have to like restart all the book you forgot like everything I would give it 5 I'll give it 5 stars About me I like books on iPad I guarantee it.

Whiskers the Cat: Five Fun Short Stories is a book that sounded like one that children would enjoy with a cute cat on the cover.

Positives:
The book had five short stories aboud a happy and fun cat named Whiskers.
In the book I didn't notice errors or mispelled words.

Negatives:
Children of preschool age enjoy illustrations as much as the story and this book had no illustrations. (I have the ability to project eBooks onto a screen from my computer so it didn't hold their interest.)
A good short story has a beginning with a problem, the a middle that solves the problem and a conclusion with a lesson or ending. This had five stories that Whiskers found fun in each one and went home. They were too much the same.

It wasn't terrible but without illustrations the children lost interest.

Basic Lessons

This book gives a lot of ability and flexibility for the reader to have jumping off points to ask the listener many critical questions. Could such things really happen like flying with magical shoes..why or why not? Could people gain friends and continue to grow through the pink bouncing ball? While the stories continue to tell the same basic principles within each, the central moral of each story was different. Each of them has a lesson that the students need to learn and be able to implement in their time in the classroom and with their friends. No question five stars!

The illustrations are the best thing about the book [and they aren't great]. Now as to the writing I felt from the beginning something was off. I could not quite put my finger on it. The stories seem incomplete, like parts of the stories are left out or forgotten. And yet this explanation seems inadequate. When I have read other children's books, I did not feel this hollowness, this lack of depth. These stories seem to have an interesting premise and then a few quick, unsatisfying sentences and the story is over. I don't know if Amon just gets tired of the stories or just didn't know where to go with them. In any case I hold no ill will to Amon but that is just how I feel.

Great Whiskers the cat stories with a moral at the end.

I enjoyed these mini short stories of Whiskers's days of fun and adventures.
Anyone who prefers mini fun cat adventure stories I would ant to think they'd enjoy them too. Plus each story has a moral in each story. These are my reasons for offering this a five star review. Great drawing illustrations Uncle Amon!

The title Whiskers the Cat: Five Fun Short Stories does not do justice to the happiness these quick stories bring. There's a sense of wonder in every story, and I love that, while Whiskers is happy to share his adventures, the community also comes together to share and reminisce.

OMG I loved the stories! They are all very creative and very well written.
The only thing I would suggest to the author for future editions or future books is more illustrations throughout the book.

Snagged the ebook for my kiddo to read/look at before bed. Disappointed there was only a picture above each chapter then a few pages of text only. All the stories were pretty similar: cat finds magic, has fun, goes home. Wasn’t really what I expected but it was okay.

Helpful for me

I have short-term memory loss, so I can't read long books as I forget the plot and can't follow the character development. But I used to love to read. I enjoyed this book because there is only one simple character to follow and the stories are short.
