Too bad it comes with some strings attached. Mainly those tied to some revenge plan my father seems to have against the other main families. Between homework and dodging some hot-as-sin boys, who has time for playing Josie Bond? Definitely not this girl.

But if I don’t play the game, there are worst things than being sent to the principal.

◆◆ Conjuring is the first book in Brookview Academy stories (duet), so there will be a cliffhanger. Josie's story is a bully romance with dark themes and multiple POV. She will not need to choose between her partners. Get ready for action, spice, and intrigue. ◆◆

Welcome to Brookview academy. Josephine Is off to the academy but with strings attached. Spy on the elite and report back to daddy but he only thinks she is a low level witch and soon that all changes. It’s an exciting and thrilling read with a few spicy scenes, action, adventure and intrigue.

*4.5 star review

"Conjuring" is one of those books where my rating went up throughout the story. When I started this book, it didn't immediately wow me, and I honestly had to push through some parts wondering where the author was going with the story. Then slowly the plot started growing on me, I started wondering more about Josephine's powers, her connection to the three men she needs to spy on, why her parents act the way they do. And then at some point, I even noticed I had a hard time putting the book down, wishing to read another chapter, or just one more page, ... I can't say what the turning points were for me, but with how I felt at the end, I wished the book was even longer (and it's already pretty massive).

"Conjuring" is the first book in a paranormal academy RH series, with a bully trope that's not too massive in my opinion. It's written in multiple POV, which helps in getting to know the men and their reasons for acting the way they are. I absolutely loved the plot twist that led Jo to her fourth man, and I'm hoping this will become a slow build series with maybe another man in the future. I even have some thoughts on who, but we'll have to wait and see... I believe this series is perfect for readers looking for an fmc who's confident in her own skin; I quite admire Jo's spirit, and how she goes through live. I just hope she'll put a little more of that spirit in the connections with her family in the next book(s).

With this being the first book in a series, it does end in a little cliffhanger, but more the type that makes you excited to find out what will happen next. I'm already looking forward to book 2!

Conjuring: A Brookview Academy Bully Romance is book one in a duet by A.J. Moran. It is so good.

💜 sassy FMC
💜 enemies to lovers
💜 dream walking
💜 magic
💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice

Josephine wants so badly to go to Brookview Academy. She has always wanted to go just like her twin older siblings. But when she was younger, she was told she didn’t have enough magic to be able to do anything. Thus, starting her education not in magical academia like she wanted. But, her dad was offering her a chance to go. The only was that there was a catch. She had to spy on three guys from three families to give her dad information to hopefully help rescue his business. Sounds simple, right? But, what if this ends up being too much? Would he pull her out of the school of her dreams? Could she pull this off? One thing she knew for sure, she had no other option but to complete this task.

This book was so good. Yes there was a bully aspect, but she just isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. Also, because this is at Brookview Academy, we get the privilege of the shared world building that occurred in the previous series written at the Academy. I love it when authors grow the worlds they create with more stories, making these stories so much deeper the more you read. I can’t wait for the next book yo release to see what happens next.

This is a slow burn book and is book 1 in the series and ends on a cliffhanger.

For me personally I liked that the book was a slow burn and it wasn’t like some straight in to all the magic and goings on. The characters developed as story went on and it gives us the readers a better understanding of the personalities and abilities of our main female and male characters.

Josephine has been sent to the renowned academy to gather information on the three bound brothers Nathan, Derrick and Weston. A job her brother and sister couldn’t do. Josephine dreamwalks them into her dream and the connection is instant between them all.

The boys may want her but they don’t trust her as they know something isn’t quite right. Josephine has powers as well that she doesn’t know about, she is stronger than anyone thinks.
This is a bully troupe, enemies to lovers and why choose with a lot of 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Josephine is willing to do anything to protect her family to get back what they used to have the recognition. Book 1 does leave you with more questions but a great introduction into this series. Can’t wait for more.

Oh my gosh! Is bullying romance, dated mates, why choose, forced proximity, age gap, dirty talk and magic your this? Well this has it all along with all hot steamy spice. While this would fall as a YA paranormal romance, it also has some dark topics so please check your trigger warnings.

I started reading about Josephine and the task she was set one evening and couldn’t stop. A.J. Moran had sucked me into a world filled with spice, magic, revenge and a touch of innocence. I could not put the book down. Seeing how Josephine would grow and learn through her time at the academy while also becoming stronger in facing the ones that bullied her had me hooked. The spice starts in the beginning and only grows as the book continues. All the men seem to have a talent for hot dirty talk. The spice is done in a very steamy but not over the top way. When the end of the book came, it hard. So be warned there is a cliffhanger that will leave you begging for the next book.

Personal I give this a 5 star rating and a 4 1/2 pepper rating.

The book centers on a witch who was sent by her family to spy on the elite boys of the academy. She is said to be a low level witch because her family underestimates her capabilities. But being in the academy opens her up to opportunities to grow. Now, when it comes to the 3 boys she’s supposed to get intel on, things aren’t as fun as learning in class. They’ve been pushing her buttons since she arrives in school and isn’t making life easy. What makes it more complicated is their intense need for each other that they all can’t seem to admit to. Throughout the first half, it’s just a lesson in frustration for everyone involved, even the reader. I liked the idea of the story and also the mystery with regards to the families. And each new addition to the plot is just making me tap into my inner sleuth to figure things out! It ends in a cliffhanger, so be fair warned!

I'm an idiot. I thought this was a standalone, but it's not 😭. Now I'm over here just wanting the next book. Why do I keep doing this to myself?

Now I'm really into the bully RH trope at the moment and when I saw this I was like YES!!!! Did this disappoint? Nope!

Josephine has been tasked with spying on 3 students for her father. Derrick, Weston, and Nathan are best friends bonded brothers. While they want her, they don't trust her. The more they want her, the more they push her away. When things start spiraling, they realize just how much danger she's unwittingly placed herself in.

I was hooked from the very first page and have found myself randomly thinking about this book. Leo was by far my favorite. Loved seeing characters from the other 2 series in this book. I can't wait to see where this story goes.

Oh my. Be prepared for a lot of really sexy scenes book is truely on fire. This story was beautifully written and attention grabbing. Jo’s relationships with the guys is powerful. I’m hoping we get to all the secrets in the next book because they are so dangerous to keep locked up. The parents are all so abusive they need to be taken down and their empires destroyed. The boys have had to be so strong to protect themselves and the ones the care for but with Jo and Leo there to help all of them have the chance to make all come out right. The choices are difficult and very far-reaching I am rooting for all of them.

We also get to met Leo and oh he is perfection if you ask me.. I loved this book I didn’t want it to end and in a way it didn’t because it left us on a cliffhanger and I’m so ready for the next book!!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Ohhhhh this was soooo good i wish it didn't end and i can't wait for the next book! Josephine is the fmc and she is a firecracker and you can't help but cheer her on. Josephine's harem are a bunch of jerks that you can't help but love and yet you want to slap them at the same time. This book was funny, sexy with a whirlwind of ups and downs that I never wanted to end. I recommend this book it is an exciting read that I couldn't put down and finished in one day.

Whoooweeee. This was a scorcher. I love the guys and Jo. The storyline is intriguing and gives a little mystery. The characters are superbly written and the words just flow across the page. I was upset that it ended but that was about the only con I saw. Otherwise the richness of the writing and the fast clip kept me coming back for more. So much so that I can't wait for the next one! Be aware this is super steamy with multiple dirty talking guys… hottttt

Read as an ARC. 3.5. Josie is tasked by her father to attend the academy and get information on his enemy’s sons. Too bad they’re hot and push all her buttons. It says this is a bullying novel but not overly. With the multi perspectives you can see how they don’t really want to but they think it’s the best way to protect her.
There’s some character growth but not a ton. That’s what’s holding it back from a 4 for me. The next book may tie off that character arc and bring it up.

Josephine is such an amazing women, she’s confident in her skin but lack’s confidence in her abilities. She deals with the three devils daily but never backs down because she’s strong. I’m not a fan of the three devils but Leo omg I just want him. That ending left me beyond ready for the next book.

The ending! I need to know what happens asap! This was oh so good! The amount of angst was perfect. Josephine, the FMC, gets sent to the academy on a mission to get information on some important guy’s families. The bullying was top notch in this, it was just enough. And the steam was perfection. Loved all the characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I knew from the moment Josephine said someone could "get bent" that I was going to like her! She's great and I loved her as the central character.

This is slow burn on the plot front but it just gives us more time to focus on the characters which explains some of the actions they take when the plot gets going. There is a lot going on before Josephine even gets to school but the pacing is good and it doesn't drag.

My favourite thing about this book though is that the guys and Josephine didn't trust each other from the start. It was so much more interesting that despite the obvious attraction they were suspicious of each other rather than going down the usual route where they gain trust then someone is betrayed. I also loved the mate aspect for one character; he totally deserved it!

The cliffhanger isn't brutal but definitely leaves you wanting more; I'm looking forward to what happens next!

My review system;
3 stars - I liked it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it, this book is perfect; I have added all the authors works to my TBR
