Criminal defense attorney Ivan (H41) finds himself drawn to a client’s feisty daughter, Addy (h20). He insists she accompany him to a charity gala and things quickly heat up between the two. I though the time duration for them to get back together was a little much - maybe a couple of months, but I'm not sure it warranted a year. Sweet instalove age gap quickie with a side of heat and an alpha male who’s used to getting what he wants.

Short, Spicy, and Satisfyingly Reversed Roles
Ivan is a quick and steamy read that brings the heat right out of the gate. The chemistry is intense, and true to B.L. Brooks’ style, it’s packed with possessiveness, tension, and fiery moments. Definitely a one-sitting read for lovers of short dark romance.
What really stood out to me was that she walked away—something we don’t always see in these alpha-dominated stories. That moment gave her character strength and made Ivan’s return a year later so much more impactful. I loved that twist and how it gave a sense of growth and reckoning.
That said, I wish there had been more to the storyline. It felt like there was so much potential—especially after the engagement reveal. I would’ve loved to see more of their life after reconnecting, how their dynamic evolved, and what their relationship looked like beyond the initial chemistry.
Still, for a short, spicy escape with a strong heroine and a possessive hero who has to earn his second chance, Ivan delivers.

This is a fast-paced short, sweet, and steamy novella featuring an over-the-top alpha male and a sassy young woman. Ivan is one of the best defense attorneys and has many high profile clients. He takes a case that introduces him to his client’s daughter — she’s beautiful, intelligent, determined, and strong willed. Addy is a successful career woman and she knows her father is innocent. She’s a firecracker and catches Ivan’s attention. She’s unlike other women — Addy is exactly what he needs and wants. They have to sneak around to hide their relationship. Ivan was sort of a jerk that wanted to dominate things, but Addy pushed back every step of the way. Their chemistry was lovely and the steam was so good!

In this book we meet Addy Gresham & Ivan Colson. Ivan is a brilliant attorney that has the arrogant attitude to match. One look at Addy though has him willing to do anything for this woman. Addy doesn't know what to do with this man. One look at him has her standing up straighter. Can they find a HEA or will his attitude kill any change there might have been?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

An age gap romance between lawyer Ivan and Addy, the feisty daughter of a new client. Ivan knows what he wants, and suddenly he wants Addy, with her feisty attitude, tempting curves, and sultry innocence. He finds any excuse to spend time with her, but Addy doesn’t seem to mind. Good characters, interesting story, and a weird but happy ending. I was a little surprised at how the epilogue started but ultimately it led to an HEA so I’m good with it.

When Ivan's new client comes in, he has his feisty daughter with him. Ivan takes one look at Addy and is blown away. They have words over her father, and it ignites sparks between them. Ivan knows that Addy will be his but when he brings her father into the picture will it jeopardize his case. This story kept me glued to the pages.

Ivan is a self-made powerhouse. As a renowned defense attorney, he is deadly serious, extremely focused, and cocky. He just met his perfect match meeting the young daughter of a new client. Addy though very young is not just gorgeous but confident, smart, and going to be his. This is a quickie sexy story with a happy ending. Linda

Addy and Ivan met as her fathers lawyer, the attraction was there from the very beginning. The MMC took his feelings to the next left and started getting attached. Find out where when daddy dearest has to say! Cute novella!.

I'm sorry but that was unrealistic in the end...not that these insta love stories are super believable but after a year of silence they get engaged after only knowing each other for a few weeks and then bang to make up for some bs misunderstanding?! Ick.

Cute, quick read. I would say great options for a palette cleanser. I read the whole series withing a 24 hours. Finished on a nice and clear note. Pretty spicy. Rated a 3 just because while it was good enough to read them all, i just crave more details and story line in a book
