I’d never swipe right for Logan Rich. I’d rather swipe him off a tall building.
Nothing gives me the ick more than the name Logan Rich. The billionaire dating app addict is my brother’s best friend. He’s also a selfish man-child who single-handedly tore my life apart when I was a teenager. So, when my boss at the magazine I work for decides I am to travel Italy with him while he works on his evolutionary new bio-fuel engine, I consider quitting on the spot.
The business world may see him as an expert in his field, but I’m not fooled. Logan Rich is as fake as the usernames on his precious dating app. One night on our trip I scream at him, telling him how much I hate him, then we almost break the hotel furniture as he makes me scream out his name on top of it. I don’t know how it happens, only that it must never happen again. But it does… Again and again. Day by day my resistance to him weakens. But I need to remember that Logan is the master of manipulating a situation to his advantage. I won’t let him tear me apart again. Anything that happens in Italy needs to stay in Italy.
I came for one thing; to prove to my boss I deserve a promotion. Now I need to prove to myself that I can resist Mr. Rich.
✨Brother’s Best Friend ✨Hate to Love ✨Billionaire ✨Forced Proximity
This audio is so good! Helen Duff and Ciaran Saward were absolutely phenomenal in this duet narration. They brought this amazing story to life. The chemistry between Maddie and Logan is undeniable and there is so much angst. The banter between the two is top-notch, and the spice is STEAMY!! Holy smokes, it’s hot!! 🥵 This was such a good time and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!
If I could give this 0 stars I would. I’m sorry to the author, as I hate giving bad reviews, but I had too for this book. It felt like the author took every iconic trope and scenario and forced it into the story … without it making any sense. She made the FMC extremely annoying and frustrating. She made the MMC extremely weak.
Why did the FMC fight him so much and then randomly decide to give it all up and be with him? Why was she so hell bent on him hating him. Made no sense.
And, most importantly, in what world does a billionaire invest in something that would result him in losing everything? That part made no sense !! No billionaire would ever do that. Everyone knows, billionaires , business men, people in general, make investments based on research. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that the MMC father made one investment, with all his money and ACTIVE businesses without his team conducting research.
Even for an easy read, this book was hard to digest.
I went through all this plot and the smut wasn't even good.

Another fantastic book from Elle Nicoll. There’s something so satisfying about a hate to love, plus brothers best friend story. The tension and chemistry between Logan and Maddy was smokin hot. This was a really great book from start to finish.
Maddy knows Logan as he’s bffs with her brother. She’s never forgiven him though, always thought his money and attitude got him away with multiple sins. Now stuck with him for a month, she soon notices he’s not what she thought
I wanted to pull my hair out! I really really really disliked Maddy. She made next to no sense. I liked Logan but thought he deserved better and should have stood up For himself more
I really liked it until she kept pushing him away, especially at the end in Italy, when he went to her AGAIN. She still wouldn’t admit she loved him. Before then I was over her attitude of thinking she knew what was best for him. But when he went after her for the who knows what number of times, she still pulled away. Argghh! So frustrating. At that point I wanted him with someone else. He kept putting his heart out there, and she continued to stomp on it, wanting him to hate her. She “doesn’t deserve him”, blah blah blah. Oh, cry me a river. Ugh!! Then I agreed with her. He needed someone who wouldn’t continue to run away.
Logan and Maddy know each other as Logan is Maddy brothers’s best friend Drew from (discovering Mr X 😍😍)
These two will keep you on your toes it’s a slow burn but my god the heated scene are 🔥🔥, this book will have you emotions all over the place but by the end of it you will be in love with both main characters
For me I loved it as I got to see my favourite Mr ( Tanner Mr X ) and you get a couple more
All in all this book is a great read and Elle as written another fabulous book 5⭐️🌟🌟🌟🌟
brother’s best friend. hate to love. billionaire. forced proximity. work trip. player/serial dater. she loves spicy audiobooks. family drama and secrets.
One thing I love about Elle Nicoll’s book is that while they can be read on their own, it’s so fun to spot characters you already know through each book and how they somehow all connect! Resisting Mr Rich was another great book in the series. I mean the whole sound system and recording her favourite book thing? I would actually cry if someone did that for me.
*I was kindly given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review*
Soooo , where can I find myself a Logan Rich, cause this man put me through the wringer. This whole dang series is so elite that I jump into it immediately as it hits my kindle. And this one soo soo soo did not disappoint me. Maddox Harper and Logan Rich , did someone say enemies, ding ding ding I am here for you!! Brothers best friend, enemies to lovers in a foreign spot add in a book universe and everything is perfection.
This one oy, was just so wonderful, Maddox ,Maddy , mads as Logan calls is this self assured , confident working woman who takes no shit esp from Logan Rich who she despises from a young age for the things that have happened. Ok i can't say more without giving away the whole story. You will end up missing out on a great read. So go read it. But I will say that this book I could not put down the smiles, the hate, the love, the angst and pain that's shown in this book, can i get into this universe and stay there ! That's how i am feeling right now and would not have it any other way. Be ready for your emotions to go up and down and cry n laugh. You won't be disappointed!!!
‘You’re only truly rich if you have something that no amount of money could ever buy’
What a rollercoaster Logan and Maddy’s story is! She hates him, but the feeling isn’t exactly mutual and maybe if she knew the truth she wouldn’t hate him at all?
This is a slow burn but once the spice hits it’s exactly as you’d expect from Elle! These two really have some ups and downs, and Maddy frustrated me at times even though I liked her but I felt like she didn’t always see what was right in front of her.
We’ve met Logan before in previous books, and Maddy is Drew’s sister but this book could easily be read as a stand alone. I can’t wait to read Drew and Sophie’s story next- he’s really pining!
Thank you Elle for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Men written by Elle should come with a warning label. Charming, intelligent, funny and also a billionaire. Who could resist Logan? This book should be called Running to Mr. Rich instead.
As the owner of the country’s largest luxury engine design company, the Riches led an extravagant and glamorous lifestyle. However, a poor investment decision Logan’s father made cost them everything. Logan’s bio-fuel engine was the only hope to turn the business around, so he set off on a month-long business trip to Italy to secure funding for his project.
As much as Maddy enjoyed writing literary columns, she aspired to do full length feature pieces. When a career-changing opportunity arose, she could not turn it down even if it meant spending time with Logan, her brother’s best friend and also the person she hated with every fibre of her being.
The trip was test of patience and restraint, but also a chance for them to get to know each other on a deeper level. They went from bickering, flirting to opening up about their fears and dreams. Maddy saw the different facets of Logan and realised there was so much more to him. Day by day, hatred turned into like and like grew into love.
I loved how honest and transparent Logan was about his feelings towards Maddy. He did not shy away from making it known. He went from protective to downright possessive. The things he said and did left me panting, swooning and melting like a puddle on the floor. On the other hand, Maddy really drove me up the wall with her stubbornness. She was definitely a tough nut to crack. She struggled to let Logan in because she was still hurt from past events (that turned out to be a misunderstanding). Once she moved on from the guilt, she allowed herself to love and be loved.
Characters from previous books making an appearance always brought a smile to my face, especially the trio Tanner, Dax and Drew. Drew was the last man standing and I very much look forward to seeing him find his happily ever after.
I'm so glad that this book was leaps and bounds better than the last book in this series! Love the development between Logan and Maddy. I like the fact that they were childhood friends, well for her, nemesis. There was a lot of misunderstanding that happened in their childhood, and the author did an amazing job unraveling everything. Nothing felt like it was added to stir up extra drama. It all fit into the story and developed naturally.
“It’s why I love reading. It’s about escaping somewhere safe, forgetting real life, and whatever drama or conflict might be going on in the world."
I think the biggest reason I loved this story is because of Maddy herself. Her personality is one of my favorites out of all the women. Plus, her love of books makes her that much better! The way she views things is exceptional.
“You’re only truly rich if you have something that no amount of money could ever buy, Smiles… And I don’t have to tell you what my something is.”
Ugh! Logan is amazing, too!! I love him so much! He has always had a thing for Mads, and I'm so glad he finally admitted it and got a chance to show her who he really is. I was so angry at Spencer and his dad for all the bs they put him through and put Gabrielle through. I'm still not ecstatic about how it all went down, but Logan and Mads got their happy ending.
I have a feeling Drew's story is going to be the hardest. What his dad did, I don't know how he'll get past it. I'm excited, though, about Sophia. Their story is going to be fireworks!!
Wow! Just wow! I needed a cold shower after this audiobook, I can not describe how amazing and steamy it was. 😮💨🤌🏻
The narrators did a phenomenal job bringing these characters to life, the hate, the angst, all the emotions were so vivid. I couldn't stop listening to this audiobook.
Logan & Maddie's story brings all the hate, the angst, and the explosive sexual tension.
Logan is absolutely perfect, he has an arrogant side that is just so charming, you will adore him from the start.
Maddie is independent, strong, and she hates Logan with all her heart! Seeing their hate turning into lust and then love was natural and beautiful.
Logan & Maddie are the core of hate sex, their chemistry is undeniable and HOT! Their relationship developed slowly as soon as she started to see the true Logan.
The spice in this book is scorching!!! I will just say one thing: “ Staircase scene” 🥵 Elle turned on the heat all the way up in this one!
I loved this audiobook and I will definitely listen to it a few more times this week.🤣
Book 8 in the Men Series. Elle, as outdone herself yet again when you don't think these books can get any better, they do!!! Logan Rich Billionaire serial dater who likes to swipe left or is it right🤣🤣🤣🤣 he is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. Maddox Harper is trying to get her big story for the magazine she works for, and she hates Logan, her brothers best friend, with such a passion. She's so complex.
This story is a Billionaire romance, brothers best friend with forced proximity, enemies to lovers, slow burn, there is so much tension between these too, and hate sex that could possibly melt your kindle🤣🤣 It's angsty, full of humour and spicy. I love the banter. The perfect story with the perfect ending eventually!!! Another book that deserves so much more than just ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
Maddy and Logan's story is a brother's best friend and enemies to lovers trope. Logan comes from a wealthy family, is a hard working entrepreneur, and lives the playboy life, but it's getting old - fast. Maddy loves to listen to spicy romance audiobooks and is a reporter for an online magazine who is waiting for a chance to work on a feature story. When an assignment to cover her brother's best friend, Logan, and his company's newest project is assigned to her, she has to put aside her distaste for him and accompany him during his business travels through Europe for a month. At the same time, Logan is happy for this trip since his father is acting odd and he needs a break from his serial dating. They both expect to argue, but neither one expects their explosive relationship to turn steamy.
The chemistry between Maddy and Logan is fantastic and the perfect slow-burn. The tub scene was both hot and humorous. I appreciated how the audio romance that Maddy is listening to and her exasperation with the characters not figuring out how they feel really emphasized the angst between Maddy and Logan and their obliviousness to their budding feelings. The banter and humor throughout the tale was *chef's kiss*. The one disappointment I had was that the subplot with Maddy and her father was not flushed out fully. Since the next book in the series features Maddy's brother Dax, maybe more of that will come out in that book.
Resisting Mr. Rich is book 8 in The Men series but can be read as a standalone.
4.95⭐️ This book had everything! The amount of emotions I felt feeling this book was insane but I loved every part of it! Logan and Maddy were incredible, and I loved seeing them develop and grow throughout this book. The plot was amazing, and certain parts kept me reading just so I could find out what was going to happen next. I loved this book and can not wait to read Drew's story!
1st reading: Well written prose, but with numerous grammatical and punctuation errors (e.g., run-on sentences, sentence fragments, subject-verb disagreement, incorrect usage of pronouns). The plot is slightly less predictable than the author's usual fare, and there are several subplots. The main characters are well-developed and show growth over the course of the novel. Although I enjoyed the story - the heat and passion between the two main characters is quite steamy - I have several bones to pick. In my previous review (for "Mr Silver") I mentioned that the author needs to remember the differences between British and American English, particularly when narrating from an American character's POV. Here, the main characters are British, yet the copy of the novel has been edited to conform with American English (there's a note on the copyright page) - and I don't just mean the spelling. Words such as "trunk" rather than "boot" or "truck" rather than "lorry" stand out where the content has been unduly Americanized. What, are we Americans so stupid that we should be denied the opportunity to learn another culture's terminology? If I'm reading about British characters, I expect them to speak like Brits. It's insulting. I'm not sure where the blame lies here, with the author or the publisher, although I remember that it was Rowling who caved over the title of her first Potter novel. There's no such thing as a "sorcerer's stone," and she should have stuck to her guns. Second bone: Logan and Maddy spend some time sightseeing in Rome, and we're told they visit the Spanish Steps, the *Sistine Chapel,* and the Colosseum (in that order). They want to visit the Trevi Fountain, but it will have to wait until after their tour of the Vatican. Um, what? While I get that viewing the Sistine Chapel is likely separate from a specific overall tour of the Vatican itself, the Sistine Chapel is IN THE VATICAN. While they're waiting in line for the Vatican tour, they talk about entering it as if they haven't already been there. Has the author been to Rome? If not, how much research did she do? I've never been there myself, but for Pete's sake I can read a map. Third bone: Maddy is a romantic, and she dreams of attending the opera at La Scala. So when she and Logan are given box seats to see "Madame Butterfly," one would think the author would make a bigger deal out of the experience. Tell us something about the interior of this amazing building. What does the stage scenery look like, or the costumes? There's no mention of an intermission (which Butterfly pretty much always has), which could have resulted in an interesting scene between Logan and Maddy, a lead-up to the life-altering things that happen after they return from the opera. So much wasted potential, but I get the impression that the author was just phoning it in on this one. In my previous review I questioned whether the author could rehabilitate the character of Logan, because in "Mr Silver," he comes off as a bit of a pig where women are concerned. Annnnd I'm ambivalent. At least he's honest that the first thing he notices is a woman's physical attributes and that he's a tits man. *shrug* But he also shows integrity in that he doesn't lie and he absolutely would not cheat, and he's shown that he's loyal and protective (with Jasmin), plus we learn that he looked after Maddy when she was a girl and Drew was in juvie for six months (even though his methods weren't the best). However, the hate-sex scenes (though hot) are a bit dodgy. Yes, it all works out in the end, and yes, Maddy doesn't tell him to stop, but he takes liberties that, in the context of a romance novel, I find disturbing. (If this book were labeled as dark romance, I wouldn't have a problem with it.) This is also one of those rare occasions where the conflict that keeps the couple apart actually makes a certain amount of sense. Yes, it does end up turning into another issue of poor communication (or lack of, which as always is super annoying), but it starts out as external pressure placed on Logan, even though he NEVER considers caving into the pressure as an option. (But yes, again I found myself yelling, "Why are people so stupi-Wait, no, it's the author making them stupid." Or "Why can't people just say what they effing mean? Oh, right, it's the author being obtuse.") There ARE authors out there who can come up with relationship conflicts that are realistic and not overly contrived. This author just isn't one of them.

Wow so disappointed! I in general love the author but this heroine makes you cringe and be embarrassed for all Females… if you want to describe an unthankful, b*tchy, spoiled brat here you go Elle gives the perfect description of a woman that is acting horrendous. She hits him and still he has to apologize. Stupid woman kept repeating a sentence in a language she doesn’t understand because she thought she is insulting him. That was fine obviously but once she realized it meant her praising his big d*ck it’s ok for her to go crazy and physically and verbally attack him…come on guys are you for real? You behave like that you don’t get guys like Logan in real life and you want to know why? Because being a bad naiv, spoiled brat shouldn’t reward you that is not how life goes. The only thing that maddy said that made sense was „I don’t deserve you and you should hate me“ he should he definitely should. The amounts of I hate you sentences and that weird grudge she holds over that man leave me speechless. Funny how she was able to hate and disrespect a guy for 15 years but once she realizes it is her dad who is to be hated in an even worse way all over sudden she can’t face it??? Elle please don’t make the next heroine such a stupid person again and go back to writing the books we all love with awesome heroines
A super angsty enemies to lovers!! Maddie has lived her whole life believing terrible things about billionaire Logan Rich. He's her brothers best friend, however, so he's always been a constant in her life.
Logan has patented the first biofuel rocket and is need of investors to get his project the funding it needs. He's getting read to spend 30 days abroad to woo investors. Maddie, a writer, is tasked by her boss to accompany Logan on his trip. The goal is to write an amazing article about him, his life, and latest creation.
What happens when everything Maddie thought she knew about Logan is a lie? What happens when hate turns to blinding passion? What happens when their trip ends and they're back to reality?
This was angsty AF! A super emotional read that put me through the ringer. One minute I was laughing. The next I was hot and bothered. The next I wanted to chuck my kindle across the room. Such a Rollercoaster!
And the steamy scenes?! Holy hell! Hate sex has never been done better! Wow! 🥵🥵🥵
Elle continues to out-do herself with every new release of this series! Well done! ❤️
Maddie's always had a grudge against billionaire Logan Rich, even though he's her brother's best friend. But as a journalist, she's on a mission to find out more about Logan, his life, and his newest invention. Logan and maddy were the epitome of fire and passion. They were two people who truly deserved love, and through all the hardships they faced, they found a love that kept them going even when they almost lost it. This book definitely blurred the line of love and hate. The rollercoaster of emotions I went through with them was worth it in the end. I just wanted to help them find their way back to the path that leads to the happiness that's waiting for them. This book did not disappoint at all and by far one of my favorites.
I didn't know I was going to follow Elle Nicoll like a cult when I picked up Meeting Mr. Anderson last year. The men in this series are chef's kiss (is that how the kids say it?)
Resisting Mr. Rich? I know I can't! Attractice, accomplished, funny, understanding, romantic, supportive, annoying, infuriating 🔥I mean ... I have never read a hate sex-scene before. Never understood the attraction. Now I do! I stand corrected. The spice is amazing, Logan is amazing, The Men are amazing, Elle is amazing and I'll be stalking her for an ARC on Drew's story.
I 100% recommend reading the whole series. Billionaire romance at it's finest. They are interconnected and you can probably read them as standalone. But why would you?
Maddy hates Logan because his rich dad bailed him out of juvenile detention for something he did as a teen approximately 20 years ago, and she’s held on to that hate her whole life. Girl, grow up. She’s also hung up over the fact that he is apparently an asshole but nothing he says/does reflects that. He’s actually quite pleasant to her. Make it make sense
