Wicked Men #1
Wicked Fate
A fairytale-like, twisted love story between a morally gray billionaire and a girl who is in love with his darkness… Ella I made a bargain with a devil two years ago. I exchanged my body for a favor that allowed me to live a normal life. But my devil doesn’t look like the one in storybooks. He’s a hot, dark thirty-two-year-old billionaire who is my best friend’s brother. He makes my heart twist with desire and longing. And he’ll be my undoing if I let him take away the last thing I have left—my soul. Ethan I didn’t expect to find myself in London with Ella. In the same room. Looking for the same person. It has been months since I last saw her, months since we made the bargain. And in all that time, I haven’t forgotten how quickly she can get under my skin—and into my heart. WICKED FATE is a steamy, slow-burn romance with plenty of heat and banter. Trigger warnings sexual assault (mentioned; not explicit/on page), kidnapping (mentioned, not shown), controlling parent figure, hospital scenes, surgery, illness.

I feel like the premise of this book was really good, I loved the mystery around their deal, and the fact that they were trying to find his sister together, but the resolve of it was kinda anticlimactic for me. I liked why she needed to make a deal with him, but his motive seemed a bit out of the blue. Idk I felt like something was missing.
Other than that I liked it, the characters were interesting and the spice was good. Plus the book is really short, it has less than 300 pages, so it was a really quick read.
I might try another book by this author some time, I've seen a couple that looked pretty good, and I'm curious about them, so we'll see 💖

after seeing a bunch a positive reviews i picked up this book. its not that i didnt like this book. its just that i did nothing to me. i was bored out my mind.
the plot:
ethan is francessa's half brother and her friend is ella. ella and ethan are forced to a trip to london by francessa because francessa belives that the both of them discover a break. she does this by dissapearing and writing a letter for both of them to follow. what francessa doesn't know is that (up until the point i read) the deal b/w ethan and ella. when the mcs go to london to find francessa thing heat up. and i stopped reading. (they come to know francessa is safe back at home but extend the vacation because they felt like it.)
now i really tried liking the story but i just couldn't. maybe the writing style didn't work for me or the pace was too slow i don't know. or i'm probarbly going thru a reading slump. i just found the characters boring and couldn't bring myself to care about them. maybe i'll try reading this a another day

characters: So awful 💀 They have no personality at all and everting was so cringe to read. The interactions were bad and so bland.

The book wasn’t terrible 2.5, but man the number of typos got annoying. It’s like if anyone would’ve proof read it’d be fine. Like even a chapter’s POV was wrong! But I actually liked some aspects of the characters, though there were issues. Idk it was okay. I’d read other books by the author though.

4.5⭐️ rounded to a 5!
Sasha is the best at angst and SPICE 🔥
I really enjoyed this story! Ethan is a dark and brooooding billionaire. Ella is a shy, scared but also somewhat sunshiney opposite to Ethan who is working to getting through a lot of hard history.
Ethan & Ella are honestly the perfect fit for each other & the way that Francesca brings them together is so funny and different.
I was so happy when they finally gave in and admitted to loving each other. & was celebrating with them when Ethan’s dad got arrested!
I wanted more of Elliott and I hope to have another book following whatever he chooses to do next!

This book was encapsulating.
Right from chapter one this book had me in a trance. It was perfect balance of mystery, crime, romance, spice, and angst. This book has a couple unexpected turns that had me going… okay just one more chapter.
Looking forward to Sasha Clinton’s next release.

Wicked fate by sasha Clinton is a twisted fairy tale - like love story between a millionaire and a girl who is in love with his darkness.
Ella, has made a deal with a devil, two years ago. Then they meet again and she gets underneath his skin and into his heart.
I loved the storyline of this dark romance and the characters chemistry was full of passion. I really enjoyed this romance novel and would recommend it to others.
💖I was gifted a arc copy of the book from the author in exchange for a honest review.

I love Ethan and Ella. Their love story is absolutely beautiful, and the way these characters fit together is just so captivating. The connection they share and the evolution of their relationship is just so good.
However, I can't ignore the major hiccup in the storyline. There are so many plot holes, and disconnected elements that irritated me. It's like the storyline wasn't thoroughly developed. Such issues really took away from what could've been an amazing reading experience.
On the other side, Ethan and Ella's relationship is a standout. It just makes sense, and the characters as a whole, along with their journey together, are downright lovable. If only the story had been as well-developed as the characters, this could easily have been a top favorite for me. As it stands, it's a three-star read, and those stars are solely for the characters and their compelling relationship.

The book started off strong but quickly fizzled out. The mystery element went from intriguing to boring very quickly. Then when the "secret" does come out, it was lack luster. There's so many different things going on but its all just a hodge podge of a mess. The chemistry between Ethan and Ella was only there during the intimate scenes but other than that, it was not there in my opinion. Ethan's brother sends him to jail and is essentially one of the villains but they have one conversation and he's all good after that. Francesca, Ethan's sister, is a horrible friend and spoiled brat. Her having Ethan and Ella traipse across London/Europe on essentially a whim to go find her was so annoying. It was a push for me to finish.

This book is about a girl who made a deal with a morally gray billionaire and both hate each other though there is a spark between them. When I read the summary, I was very intrigued by the plot. Though I have to say that once I started this book, the style of writing was not for me. It felt very middle-grade when it came to the choice of words, the dialogue, and the vibe. I felt for me that the summary truly didn’t bring the story I was hoping for and gave more of a treasure hunt story. Though the message that the story left behind was great and I loved the emotional journey the characters went through. I did enjoy the setting of the book and how fast-paced it was. I finished it rather quickly as it was a pretty quick read. This book is also written in dual perspectives so it was nice to get both sides of the story.
Ella is the FMC of the story and I enjoyed her character. At first, I thought she was bland but once I got to read more about her, I started to like her story. Ethan was also a great character as he was mysterious and I just wanted to figure out who he was. Both of these characters had such a fantastic development in the story personally and together that it was my favorite part of the book. There were many side characters in this book but I especially loved Ethan’s sister. The romance is enemies to lovers, billionaire, best friend’s brother, grumpy x sunshine and age-gap. I loved the relationship between the characters and there was a bit of steam perfect for the read.
The ending was well done and overall it was not a bad story. It could have been better plot-wise as the only reason I kept on going was because of the characters. The characters were perfect and I really enjoyed the way they were. Overall not a bad story and recommend those who want a dark billionaire story with a morally grey man.

Today's coffee was served with the book "Wicked Fate: A Grumpy Sunshine Billionaire Romance (Wicked Men Book 1)" by Sasha Clinton, a dark and twisted love story between two morally ambiguous characters. Ella and Ethan are brought together by a forced proximity that rekindles their shared history. The book explores the consequences of a dangerous bargain between the two years prior and the following slow-burn romance.
Although the premise is intriguing, the story takes a while to get to the heart of the matter. However, the second half of the book more than makes up for this with a rich and phenomenal story about two broken people finding wholeness in each other. The steamy romance is also worth noting, with the banter between Ella and Ethan adding depth to their relationship.
The book does an excellent job of exploring the psychological depth of both Ella and Ethan and how their past experiences have shaped their personalities and actions. The author delves into their emotions, fears, and desires, making the reader feel invested in their journey. Additionally, the chemistry between the two main characters is electric, and the slow-burn nature of their romance only makes it more satisfying when they finally come together.
The author's writing style is engaging and fluid, making it easy to get lost in the story. The setting of London also adds to the atmosphere of the book, with vivid descriptions bringing the city to life. The book's pacing is well-done, with the tension building at just the right pace until the explosive climax.
Overall, "Wicked Fate" is a well-written, emotionally charged read that will keep readers engaged from start to finish.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐.5
SPICE: 🔥🔥.5

I love dark romances like the best of them, but it took a while to get to that in this read.
Ella and Ethan are being forced to come to England by Ethan's half-sister -- who also happens to be Ella's best friend. The forced proximity is a problem for our main characters who shared a history together. Ella made an exchange with Ethan for her own safety, and the repercussions from that trade haunts the both of them.
I was excited about the premise of the book; I just think getting to the heart of the story took too long. The subplot with Francesca (the half-sister/best friend) overshadowed the love story in the first half of the book. I find that resilience has been key to Sasha Clinton reads, so I stuck it out and got a much richer second half. We get this phenomenal story about two broken people who find wholeness in each other and the steam was so good it cleared my complexion.
There are some fun Easter eggs in this read. I enjoyed Lucien Stone making a cute appearance and gushing about his lady love Mira (who would have thought?).
** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Sasha Clinton for providing an ARC. **

🖤 Wicked Fate Review 🖤
Thank you so much to Sasha Clinton for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Wicked Fate is a contemporary billionaire romance. Years ago, Ella found herself making a deal with Ethan, a broody billionaire and owner of a massive hotel conglomerate. When Ella is unable to reach her best friend, who also happens to be Ethan’s sister, the two of them find themselves on a trip across the ocean to find her
I really enjoyed the dynamics between Ella and Ethan - between their history together, their mutual attraction and their forced proximity - this made for an awesome book! The mystery “treasure hunt” vibes of this book as Ella and Ethan searched for Francesca.
I enjoyed the story and the characters, but I struggled a little bit with the medical aspects of their history. I understand that this is a fictional story, but sometimes being a healthcare professional in real life makes my brain work in stupid ways - there were some medical aspects to this story that were a little bit out there & it pulled me out of the story a little bit. But this is absolutely a “me” issue and not a book issue.
Overall this was a solid 3 star read for me! Sasha is a new-to-me author and I’ll definitely be adding more of their books to my TBR! There were a few spicy scenes in this story, so two flames for spice
If you like mutual pining, broody billionaire men, with sibling’s best friend tropes, then absolutely pick this one up!

Every time I pick up a book by this author, I am served with an entirely new kind of story. The blurb of this book tempts you with a very dark romance, but it is far more wholesome and I am not disappointed one bit! I was expecting the twist in the plot but it was not predictable at all. Ella made a bargain with her best friend's brother Ethan to gain help in delivering her from danger. But this story is not about him coming to extract fulfilment, that is done and dusted and they were not supposed to talk again. But when her best friend Francesca, an eccentric painter is apparently missing, Ethan and Ella are forced to come together to find the one person they love. And as you can imagine, fireworks ensue between two people who always live responsibly, or live for the happiness and well-being of others. Ella is living under the pressure of being the responsible one while her actress mother deals with the highs and lows of fame. Her pain is well understood by Ethan, as he also was dealt a disappointing hand in life, seemingly as part of a family but still looking on from the outside.
My favourite line from the book will probably speak to most book lovers' souls, "Even if I'm heartbroken, I won't die. My mother needs me. And there are many books I want to read before I die."
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was the perfect dark grumpy sunshine!
Ella is a bookworm with a celebrity mother who doesn't parent but leans on her for support. To the point of negligence.
Ethan grew up with his mother after his wealthy father moved on with his mistress. And once his mother passed away unexpectedly his father took him in and used him to do his dirty work so that he didn't have to.
Ella is his sister's best friend and always treats him like an annoying big brother not knowing she's protecting herself cause he's so intimidating and out of her league. But at a weak and urgent moment in both their lives they helped each other immensely but then promised to keep it quiet.
Oh man I am glad this is a series cause I want more of these characters. I loved how toughened Ethan became to survive but yet Ella softened some of his edges just by wanting to be around him and treating him like a person. And Ethan helped her gain confidence and trust in herself after something horrible happened to her. It started as lessons in intimacy that always sounds promising. Everyone benefits from those lessons.
Love the broody sexy billionaire and the smart unpolished beauty that doesn't want to stand out.

A quick read on the way if you want a pick of age gap romance but be cautious since it looked like the hurried way of writing an age gap romance. Secondly, someone should do a proof reading of kindle edition since it has lot of grammatical mistakes and indexing, pov naming is off the game, i wish i could give a four star but the storyline was such that settled for three stars also the way the MMC was called devil it reminded me that even Lucifer the God of Hell doesn’t get called Devil so many times, the only good thing was the way FMC of 20 years old took a stand for MMC & made him see through all the trauma that he has been put through by his father for his dirty works, vile deeds, the way he was used in the way neglecting his trauma, suppressed emotions & feelings she was a light for him. In the end the way they both mature out, took decision for their own lives only made this worth a read by learning the lesson of not being brute or a mouse while standing up for themselves as well as fighting for what means to you the utmost meanwhile getting liberated by accepting the feelings & love & affection for each other.

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️.75
In short: I had very high expectations going into this one, and It did NOT disappoint. The author has a very distinct, unique, and enjoyable writing style. She nailed creating engaging, intriguing characters who grew throughout the novel. Character-driven over plot-driven.
This won't be the last book I read by this author, and I would recommend It to fans of the genre and of really any romantic trope. Check your triggers, and then get ready for an enjoyable, engaging read.
More thoughts:Again, this is more character-driven than plot-driven. My only criticism (again, I have only one, which is impressive!) is that I would have liked a tad bit more resolution and insight into what the aftermath is after what happens towards the end of this one. I maybe also would have liked a bit more insight into what exactly happened those years ago, but then again, maybe that would have been too much.
A really enjoyable, strong read. Check your triggers. Some mention of past assault and violence.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Memorable Quotes:(Condensed here for brevity.)
-"When I want something, I want all of it. Every last piece. And I make sure to take it. By any means possible."
-I intend to demand everything from her. I want to own her, consume her, leave a scar on her soul so she'll never forget this night.
-"You can't handle the consequences of this, princess. You'll never be who you were once I'm done with you."
-"I'm a monster, princess. Nobody can hurt me." and "Don't believe everything monsters tell you. They're monsters for a reason."
-"We're in a bookshop, princess." "Is there any place more romantic?"
Steam Meter:🔥🔥🔥. Pretty steamy. The steam doesn't happen a ton, but when it does, steamy!
Romantic Tropes
-dark romance (mafia-esque)
-billionaire romance
-forced proximity
-save/fix each other
-best friend's brother

Ella was a bookworm, that wanted to have the happily ever after but didn’t think it was possible, things had happened that made her think it could never happen.
Ella and Ethan had a secret, a secret that no one knew, not even Ella’s best friend and Ethan’s sister.
Ethan did nothing but work, he knew the time was coming for his father to retire and he didn’t have time for anything else, although he knew there was a spart with Ella he couldn’t act on it, his enemies might use her against him and she’s his sister’s best friend, a bookworm and wouldn’t be able to handle him, there’s not happy every after not after what his seen in life.
Ethan and Ella both worry when Francesca goes missing, and they both head to London to try to find her, surprised when it’s all just Francesca wanting them both to take a break, or has Francesca seen what Ella and Ethan won’t admit to themselves.

Age gap romance that just didn't do it for me. Normally I think they are fine and I like that they know what they want. Problem with this one was the FMC was just sooooo naïve.
Ella makes an agreement with Ethan years ago that will help save them both. Through the years they secretly keep in touch until Ethan's sister decides to give them both a much needed vacation. By that I mean she disappears and scares them both into thinking she's been kidnapped so they can both have time in London away from the pressures of NYC and try and have some fun and relaxation.
Ella and Ethan grow close and of course their chemistry and attraction gets the better of them.
There are some sweet parts but Ella was a little too pick me, choose me then abruptly change to I can't want him.
It does end in a HEA and because she is much younger and Ethan is definitely a cold individual, luckily it's not a baby HEA.

3.75 - 4⭐
The first thing I will say is that this book took my by surprise. Both of these characters had so much shared trauma and the most beautiful part was to watch both Ethan (MMC) and Ella (FMC) grow together and learn to fight their demons rather than fear them. I was hooked from the very beginning, from their mysterious past to their trip to London, all the way to the little prison action someone got (i won't reveal much 😉 ). The only thing I wanted was to be able to see them date a little more (yes I am greedy like that 😭 ). I just love to see the couples do regular mundane things, but overall this book was such a good read that had amazing plot and angst. It did deal with heavy themes but I also saw the courage that they both ended up facing in order to be with one another.

Ella and Ethan
This story starts of with a secret between Ella and Ethan which keeps a reader wanting to know more and intrigued.
Ella is a shy vulnerable girl and she’s been through some tough times. I think what I loved about her the most was that she likes to read.
Ethan is a closed off character he keeps to him self and just like Ella he’s had his fair share of hardships.
The two have had a connection even before the get together along with the secret they share.
Side characters were ok. I think Francesca stood out the most and the fun adventure she puts into motion for Ella and Ethan was fun and what got them more close.
Ella’s mom I found needy and annoying along with Ethan’s dad who demanded too much.
And Ethan’s brother Elliot…… well

Enjoyable. I liked the characters. FMC gives MMC her kidney in exchange for getting rid of her abuser. MMC’s sister goes missing and sends the two of them on a wild goose chase with letters and tickets through Europe. They spend time together and develop feelings. Lots of unresolved plot points such as the mother. I feel like the plot with MMC’s family wasn’t developed enough to make the conclusion satisfying. But I still enjoyed the book because of MMC and FMC’s interactions. The sub plots didn’t do anything for me.

A love story between Ethan who is a grumpy billionaire who will accomplished Ella’s request which is their secret. Ella is a shy unsocialized and a bookworm girl. She’s a bestfriend of Ethan’s half sister.
The story was not so interesting.. Parang typical na kwento lang na mababasa mo sa ibang books. Kaya di ako masyadong na-intrigued or naexcite.. But what I like about this book is their connection/relationship started when Ella donated her kidney to Ethan and Ethan did what Ella’s request. They have secrets but when they came to London they started to be open more with each other.

Ugh I am a sucker for a good grumpy-sunshine trope!!! Throw in a morally gray, dark haired man on top of that? SOLD. 🫠 I really enjoyed this and found myself flying through it, anxious to see what was going to happen next! If you’re a fan of ‘best friends brother’, ‘friends to lovers’, characters stitching each other back together, crime, suspense, spice, romance… this just might tick all your boxes!
The icing on the cake was a cameo from my favorite heart surgeon, Lucien Stone 😉

This devilish story was mysterious and capturing off the bat. The tension. The plot. The slow burn. It was all so good.
I loved seeing how Ella thought she must act a certain way vs what she wanted. She was shy and sweet but also the sunshine to Ethan's grumpy demeanor. These two are the perfect match for one another.
We follow Ethan and Ella as they go on an adventure trying to find Ethan's sister, who is also Ella's best friend, and find themselves and each other along the way.
Slow Burn
Billionaire Romance
Forced Proximity
Best Friends Brother
I would happily make a deal with the devil if he was anything like Ethan. Sasha is a new to me author but I greatly enjoyed this book and will be reading more of her work in the future.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Good and bad
The start of the book was super intriguing. The beginning of the plot hooked me onto the main characters. I was itching to see how everything played out on their forced manhunt-vacation. However, the more the story developed, the more it was rushed. At first, it was the scenes, then, it was the dialog, and finally, the plot as a whole was just rushed and gone.
It's a good read if you're bored and need a brief genre change.

Right from the start there was this mystery. Why are these two people connected? Ella is a book nerd who seems to keep to herself and Ethan is the devil in an amazing suit. Besides being his half-sister's best friend, there just had to be more. Once the mystery was solved you start seeing Ethan for more. Two trapped people learning to free themselves and end up finding more

It was a quick read. 🙂
First half of the book was okay , it feels like a rushed story and some things didn't make sense.
And last chapters , I liked the story after Ethan went to prison and how it played out.
This is my first book of this author. 😊
Writing style is good 👍😊
Might read another book from this author in the future ❤️
