Emotions skyrocket when bodies start dropping in Daybreak Falls.
SHE’S BACK…
When her serial killer sister escapes police custody, Davina’s forced to push her family of friends away to protect them.
Alone, she sets off to hunt Raina, determined to track her down before more victims fall. But when bodies start dropping—being left as presents for Davina to find—the residents of Daybreak Falls erupt in anger, directing their rage at Davina.
As Raina continues her killing spree, outwitting Davina and the police at every turn, Davina discovers she has only one move yet to play.
Hold on tight… It’s about to get deadly.
The gang returns in book five, Five More, Lock Your Door, a fast-paced, crime fighting thriller that will leave readers on the edge of their seats—craving more, more, more.
This is a fantastic read. I was totally captured by the characters and the plot. There is a happy ending or even better a new beginning. Lots of action trying to find the evil sister, a bomb explodes, a riot happens, and again she is blamed by the irritating town folk. It’s a really great way to spend your reading hours. Highly recommend this book and the series.
Beyond irritating. I don’t know if I will finish and I’m not recommending at this point
You don’t have to like a character in order to enjoy a book but it helps, particularly if you’re reading a series. I’m struggling with how to rate this because I am so irritated with Davina. It’s one thing to want to support yourself and make your own way but it’s another thing to just be bullheaded and stupid which the main character has become. Idiosyncrasies make characters interesting and believable but Davina’s attitude towards money and ‘being blue collar’ and ‘making her own way’, etc becomes just irritating and obnoxious in this book. She’s willing to help anyone but herself and that’s just not endearing after a certain point. She has access to funds through family money and is a member of her family. She gets to the point 1/3 of the way through this book where I’m considering not only not finishing the book and the series but going back to the earlier books and telling others not to read the series. It’s poor character development and poor writing on behalf of the author. She needs to grow up and realize that ‘making your own way’ actually requires others. I’m really irritated that the author is not moving the character forward at all. She’s learned NOTHING in FIVE books. Why would I want to read more?
But there were too many people to keep track of. I read a lot of series but I usually remember the main characters and I did in this one but some of them were not familiar so I had to go back and refresh my memory. I caught up but it was still a cluttered mass of confusion to me in the middle. I had to take a break. Raina is probably the worst sister I have ever read about! Not only is she very evil, she has powers. She killed a bunch of people just to get to Davina. I love how much her, friends love her and I want Stone to be her true love not Austin. I mean he is okay but I am so team Stone its not funny! Now that Raina is caught let's see if they can keep it that way this time.
Suspenseful, creepy, heartbreaking, hilarious, and yet the book was full of love for Davina! She has such good loyal friends! I’d love to have a best friend like Olivia and I adore her grandmother Bernadette! Glad for the happy ending. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series! Absolutely love the Kelsey crossover parts!
I enjoyed visiting with the gang. I will say this series isn’t as action packed as it was the first couple. But I still enjoyed the story. I need to go back and read where the other characters have books. I’m intrigued.
So much action and emotions. Davina has been through so much in this series but she's still standing !! Love and protectiveness of friends and family highlights this series. But the way she went after her sister was off the chains !!
Wow I mean Davina has a lot to do. Ghost and a sister that wants to kill her. A town that is fighting with each other. I mean this story was utter chaos but at least she had friends. I was just sorry she ignored them.
Enjoyable series, likable characters, psychics, ghosts, and some light hearted moments to go along with the murders and violence. Looking forward to #6.
